Placed an online order on 10/26/2024, received an email that the order would be ready for pick up between 3:58 and 4:03. I arrived around 3:45 and gave the lady at the register my name. She told me that the sirloin wasn't ready. Fine. Several other patrons entered the pick up area. And eventually, the young lady came and acknowledged them and told them their orders were being prepared. 1 by 1, she brought out their orders. 4:15, still standing there waiting. A second group of patrons came in, and again, the young lady began bringing their orders out to them. At about 4:20, I got the young ladies attention and told her to cancel my order, before she turning and walking away she asked what's your name again. She came back about 3 to 4 minutes later, and said here is your order. I said no, just cancel my order and issue me a refund. She turned and walked away, came back again about 3-4 minutes and said, we can't issue you a refund because you placed an online order and that I would have to wait until Monday for Corporate. I responded, give me a receipt or something that says I am being issued a refund. She handed me the receipt of my original order. I said this doesn't say anything about a refund or that I did not receive the order. She said well you can come back Monday to which I responded and who is going to recognize me Monday without proof that I didn't receive the order. I then went to the bar and asked for the manager, who came out and tried to explain to me that my receipt said that there was zero balance due so that was my proof that I would receive a refund. I said no, this receipt shows where my order was $15.99 plus the tax and a $2.88 gratuity. The receipt shows that I paid and there was no balance due. He again pointed to the bottom of the receipt and said no it shows where you don't have a balance due. I then asked that he sign the receipt and write void on it. After which, the young lady said here is a receipt that shows where you will be refunded. I said this is what I have been asking for, and y'all tried to convince me that it said that on the original receipt. Bottom line, I am very disappointed and will never patronize this restaurant again. I know one monkey doesn't stop a show, but word of mouth can spread like a wild fire. read more

This used to be our go to restaurant but it's had some ups and downs the past few years. I would apply that to the whole chain because I used to stop at these when out of town as well. I would say that in the past two years it's been 75% bad experiences. This afternoon my wife and I met for a late lunch and were the only customers for most of the time. They seated us next to a table with trash still piled on it. The chips and salsa weren't good. The chips had too much salt on them to eat and were mostly crushed. There was more salsa on the outside of the bowl than inside. The waitress just sat talking with the other staff in one of the empty sections. Didn't seem like anything to do with being short handed. They had the order wrong so we had to go in 3 times and get missing items. It took 3 times of them looking in the bag, talking amongst themselves and having to write it down for them for us to our food correctly. It could be that they were busy, but my order wasn't the only one they got wrong. Do not order online! Took over an hour to get my food order correct. read more

In September 19 2021, me and my family came to this Chili's and to say it was an awful experience would be an understatement. We got put on a 45 minute waiting list, even though it seemed as if 3/4 of the restaurant was empty. Yet we waited, and once we sat down after being called, it took 20 minutes to get drinks. The server had no sort of emotion and honestly seemed like she hated her job. Once we finally got our food after an hour of being there, it took another 15 minutes to get napkins and sauces. The food is decent and the price is inexpensive but the whole restaurant smells like someone forgot to change the grease. The last time we went, we were seated, told our server would be with us soon, and literally 20 mins later no one had even gotten our drink order. I only come to chili's for the $5 margarita of the month and the spinach queso appetizer. It's your typical chain restaurant. They have good deals though. Look, I was a server/busboy for many years in high school and college. I know working in food isn't always easy, so I don't have unrealistic standards. That said, I can honestly say that this Chili's location is the worst dining experience I've ever had. I moved to Mobile three years ago. The first time I went to this Chili's was objectively awful. I've tried to give it another shot three times, including today, and they were all unusually bad. The waiter was rude, absentminded, and just...bad. Our salsa came out frozen. It was basically a salsa popsicle. Okay, we let that slide, even though it took 15 minutes to get our drinks (water and lemon). When we ordered a beer, we saw it sitting at the bar for 10 minutes or so. Our server asked, "How y'all doing?" & before we could even respond, she took off like the roadrunner. Very strange. Tom the cat has a better chance catching Jerry the mouse than customers have getting servers' attention at this Chili's location. Seriously, this place needs a major management overhaul. On December 29, 2021, my wife and I called for curbside service. The person that answered the phone stated that the system was down and that we needed to call back in twenty (20) to thirty (30) minutes. One (1) hour passed and we called back the person stated that the system was still down so we asked could we come in and place an order, we were told that we couldn't. It's 9:45 at night and we called again and we were told that they don't know anything about the system being down and now they are not taking any call-in orders. I don't know who is running this establishment but they need to do better than this. I was always told if you don't like your job find something else. read more

Not so good! This place, once clean and neat, has morphed into the proverbial pig sty. Don't let your feet sit still or they will be glued to the floor. Most tables have a list, and the benches have been used as targets by the street gang knife-fighting crowd. I watched as one woman refused to allow her kids to be seated until someone came and RE-cleaned the table and benches. The manager was very annoyed...at the customer. And the wait... Me, my wife and son got dressed and headed to that chili's. My wife was so excited cause its been year's since she has been to . When we got there Sept 17 2021 around 540pm we were told there would be a 20-30 min wait. But there were no more then 6 tables being used, looked dead. We got one of the pagers and waited in our truck. Over 30 min past. I went in and checked, I was told when they contact me I would clearly know. I went back to my truck and we started watching tv shows to pass time with pager on dash board. When 7pm hit that's when my wife said I don't even want this anymore. I go back in and ask the lady what's the hold up? I see every person that came in after us sitting enjoying there food. We were sitting in front of the door and all she had to say was oh... I'm sorry. I can seat you now. After waiting over a whole hour. Instead of acting out I just gave her the pager and said we will never ever try here again. Your customer service sucks. read more

But this time I finally decided to speak up and the manager and another woman were able to make up for (at least) this experience and went the extra mile at the end when they could tell how upset we were. I went here years ago with my wife and had horrible service and food. I come back again because my friend wanted to go. It felt like the exact same experience. We waited to be sat, no one at the door and tables everywhere all dirty. It was a mess. Finally a host came up and we told her, we will sit at the bar. She offered to clean the bar off for us and it was wrapped around full of people. I noticed a few guys sitting across from us and they looked like they haven't been helped yet. They must have sat there long because they eventually got tired of waiting and left. My friend and I sat there for a about 5 minutes and no one came out to the bar. So we left. I had the soft shell chili tacos. The shells were hard and crumbled with every bite. I finally stopped eating them and pushed them to the side. Waitress asked how they were and I said terrible. She looked at them and said they look kind of crumbly. She went to the manager. He didn't come out to discuss the problem. He had the waitress offer me a desert that I turned down. Went Sunday around 12:00. Seated right away. It took 10 min before anyone came to the table. I had to stop a waitress to ask if she was our server. She was not. She said our server "just got here" and she would go get her. She came. We were ready to order so we ordered all at once. Food came quick and so I was hopeful our experiment would be better than the last time I came. Then alas.... we ordered dessert. It took about 15-20 min for it to come out. I know they don't bake the skillet cookies from scratch which I could have done in that time. It was good when it finally arrived. This location suffers from poor staffing and training. Normally I trust the Chili's chain. This one is an exception. After 3 HORRIBLE visits, I surrender! The last time, I took a friend. She asked me if she had done something to offend our waiter. He walked past us so many times without making eye contact, speaking to us, refilling our drinks, seeing if he could do anything to help us - it was embarrassing! Other local friends have had similar experiences. Friends with 2 young kids waited 15 mins. for menus and drinks and 30 minutes for their food. I have had coupons for FREE food, and I just tear the coupons up. Adequate food cannot make up for substandard service and pathetic management. Stick a fork in me - I'm done! Went to check to see why both hostess looked confused because our name was marked off and we went sitting right in front of the hostess stand and they didn't call our name nor did our buzzer didn't go off. Then one said well I didn't mark your name off. Then our skillet queso was cold then to top it off my spicy shrimp tacos and rice was cold. Where do I begin.... well, let's start with when we arrived at lunch and were told there would be a 5 min wait due to how packed they were; the fact is, only MAYBE a 1/4 of the tables were occupied.... the place literally looked dead considering we arrived at what is assumed will be an actual busy time of day. We waited and ordered our appetizer once we were seated. Our waitress returned quite a while later and asked if we were ready to order. I said, actually, we are just waiting for the appetizer we ordered (several, several minutes ago). It was as if a light bulb went off in the waitresses head- she left and came right back with our appetizer. Apparently, she'd completely forgotten we ordered it because it was no longer hot. Aside from being room temp., it was good. At this point we ordered our plates and then proceeded to WAIT again FOREVER. We were literally there an hour (lunch "rush") hour before we were brought our food. Again- ALL ROOM TEMP, the sauces I'd specifically asked NOT to have were brought, the sauce I specifically asked for THREE times was not brought, the soup our daughter asked for was brought out with her main entree and had obviously been under a heat lamp for probably the entire time since ordered when it should have been delivered. My husband's salad was also brought out with his main entree and same thing- wilted lettuce. Oh-- also my husband didn't even receive his entire entree. He ordered some chicken that came with fries but received only chicken. By this time, I was steaming & asked to speak to the manager. She apologized profusely for the wait after learning we'd been there over an hour, then she apologized more as she noticed how our food looked- even noting that it looked like our food had been "under heat lamps" just by appearance. Based solely on the appearance of our food- she offered to put a rush on remaking it all for us. After realizing my husband didn't even receive his entire order at all- paired with everything else- she apologized more and told us our entire order was on the house. I will now say this- the waitress was sweet- maybe she was very new and just overwhelmed with the very few guests in her section. She was sweet though. The manager was very empathetic and very apologetic; owning every single detail of the wrongs we'd experienced and making us all feel like our complaints were valid and she was very eager to make this all up to us. Actually- it was the professionalism of the manager paired with the fact that the food seemed like it would have been great (had we received it as it was prepared and not half hour later) that turned our entire visit around. We did not expect to have our visit comped. We were actually shocked. As fuming as I was, after the manager visited and validated our complaints making us feel appreciated as guests, I have to admit that we left on a good note. The chances of us returning are not great as far as the near future, or that particular location go. But, we might give it another chance later. I am going out on a limb to assume that branch is under new management... being told they were "packed" during lunch hour with only a few tables seated should have been our clue. All in all- we brought our food home (part of what we ordered anyway) and re heated and ate it for dinner. It wasn't our lunch as we planned- but it ended up being free other the hour we spent there- so that helped to take the sting away! read more

We like eating here because it's consistent, but not this time. The server was more interested in sidework than her table. No drinks till the food arrived and that took a while since it sat under the heat lamp. Never came back, had to wait to pay. This is not normal and they train their servers better than that. I had the 1/2 club and soup, she had mac and cheese with broccoli and milk. Sandwich was good, the soup came later becuse the server stated that she had it in the microwave. My daughter's broccoli was microwaved and she said that it just didn't taste good. We really like Chili's, my wife likes the ribs and I reall dig their salads. So this was out of the norm for them on this visit. read more
