Quesadilla explosion salad with the extra avocado slices
    Sam A.

I have stopped at this Chili's multiple times traveling 150 miles from home and can say the service, food and experience here has always been above par. I was reading some of the reviews and don't get the unedible part at all. I would not be afraid of this location if you like Chilis - it's clean, pleasant, big parking lot and large capacity dining room. They have lots of specials. I almost always get the shrimp tacos or a fajita but hit the quesadilla explosion salad today - yum. Wife got a pick 3 with side salad, chicken fingers w fries and a drink - add cheese cake for $2.49. Kids cheese pizza here is good and daughter ate the whole thing. It's a chain, if you are reading this you are planning on coming to a chain - please set your expectations to a corporate chain - if you are above chains - stop reading my review. I have been to a tons of Chili locations and have had a good experience at almost all of them - it's the reason I come to Chilis when traveling - they always deliver what I am expecting for the price I am expecting. Usually I pick this in an area where I don't have time to explore local places and that was the reason for todays visit. Thumbs up here if traveling from out of the area - it's close to the highway and I recommend.

2 stars because big box retail chain, loses the heart from the food. The food is so commercialized that there's no seasoning the special sauce isn't so special and the burger bun was cold. This would never happen in a locally owned and operated spot. The service was really hospitable though so no complaints there. The vibe of chilis is just funny in general, I haven't been here in years and for good reason. This place is good to go to if it's the only place left.

    Out for some evening drinks!
    Nancy O.

Well, we came in for drinks and two kids meals and if the fact that the kids licked their plates pretty clean and we slurped down our drinks like ice cold water on a hot summer day osnt testament to it being a good visit in, then not sure what is! We came on a Saturday evening and it was BOGO draft beers and margaritas! Service was fantastic, no wait and kids food and drinks came fast! In and out in less than an hour.

Awesome service from Joe! Great food too but I'd eat here and request his service every time! One of the best servers I've had in so long at any restaurant. The chips and salsa are always perfect too! 2/25 is a great deal.

Absolutely the most disgusting food ever. My chicken was raw. Buffalo chicken bites were 100% raw. I called and all the manager offered was to send my coupons for future visits. I will NEVER step into another chili's establishment.

The brisket had a good mixture of lean and fatty meat, and a perfect smoke that really didn't need any sauce, but the bourbon sauce added a savory heat that was excellent. The real surprise was the bourbon beans! This blend of black and pinto beans with peppers, onions and bacon is sitting in a brilliant sauce with an amazing sweet heat and is thin enough to imbue the flavor without being a thick brown-sugar soup... a definite must have! The staff were very friendly as well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was price and setting. Based on the interior which appears to still be under some construction, I'm assuming they have only recently moved into the space... which is fine, however, for table service I would expect something more that styrofoam to-go containers and plastic utensils. And, although the quality of the food is quite good and portions are nice, $21 for one bbq meat and two sides is a bit on the high side. So, if you are moving through the area and are looking for good bbq, (and don't mind paying a bit more and being served in styrofoam) it's definitely worth stopping by.

They had a deluxe taco bar, which I expected, but also small burritos (chicken and beef), taquitos, quesadillas, fajitas, and more. Even some weird (but delicious) honey tortillas for dessert. Fabulous experience on the food side. The service was good, not amazing. But the food made up for it. I liked the decor too. This is one of Roanoke's must beautiful architectural designed Mexican restaurants…read more A third generation family-owned and operated restaurant from the first family to bring Mexican cuisine to Roanoke in 1986. It is well known for its authentic Mexican cuisine, including fajitas, tacos, and margaritas. Agave Azul originally opened as El Rodeo in 2001. Then in 2019 the Lopez family rebranded the restaurant, changing its name and design but retaining their style and original recipes. The change in redesign was made to better reflect the way one should experience Mexican Food in contemporary society, and to honor the vibrant, evolving culture of contemporary Mexican cuisine. As I arrived today in my pearl white Lexus and parked it in their very convenient parking lot, I couldn't help but to admire the beautiful structure of the restaurant's architectural design of its building. Once inside, a welcoming gentleman greeted me and took me to one of the booths next to the windows of the dining room and handed me a copy of the menu. Shortly after a friendly young lady came by and introduced herself as my server and took my drink order. I ordered a virgin mango margarita. While she went to request it at the bar, one of their employees brought me their complimentary basket of chips along with the tiny bowl of salsa. What can I say, they were irresistible and amazingly delicious. I found myself looking at the menu and at the same time dipping my chips in the salsa and eating them. When the margarita arrived it looked amazing. So fresh that one could see the lime slices juice dripping onto the table. To dine I ordered the Parrillada Fajitas and asked her to also include chorizo for an extra charge. She acknowledged that could be arranged and went to the kitchen to place my order. She then disappeared. I suspect they had given her a large table in the other dining room because the restaurant was not so full and yet she took so long to bring me my fajitas that when they arrived they were not sizzling hot with smoke coming out of the cast iron skillet. Before I had time to mention this to her, she had quickly disappeared again. I tasted the fajitas and they were so good that I ate them and didn't bother complaining. Besides I was so hungry that I couldn't wait for them to remake them just to see the smoke coming out of the skillet when served. But this was a bit disappointing because it was the first time it had happened at any Mexican restaurant before, and I felt it took away from the excitement of watching your fajitas being served sizzling hot. A side plate came with delicious Mexican rice, refried beans, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and guacamole. Also I received some hot flower tortillas wrapped inside a piece of aluminum paper. The time went by and I had finished with my meal and my server hadn't showed up. I was looking forward to having a dessert. When she shows up she does so with my bill. I told her I was planning on having a dessert if it was possible, and that if she could please clear my table. I ordered a Xango Cheese Cake that was supposed to come drizzled with caramel and chocolate. But instead it came drizzled with sugar and honey. After having a bite of it I didn't seem to mind because it tasted so good like this as well. Then another long wait to get the bill. Luckily in this restaurant you paid the bill at the cashier's counter. It's a pity that I let my dining experience escalate up to this point. I hope the owner and manager of the restaurant reads my review and takes action so this doesn't happen again. Next time I will definitely not allow this to happen again. In conclusion the food tasted very good but did not arrive sizzling hot; the ambiance was pleasant but lacked the Mexican background music, and the service was definitely lacking, but I'm willing to give this restaurant another try honoring its generational history.

Combine that with uncovered sweet tea attracting flies and a general lack of cleanliness, and you've got a recipe for disaster (not the delicious kind). This experience isn't a one-off. It's been a steady drop for about a year. Fermenting salsa, a clear sign of unsafe food handling, is the final straw. Fresh, refrigerated salsa takes about a week to ferment as in the video. I witnessed the same thing six months ago and vowed to never be back, but I fell into the trap today yet again. Who's running this place? Are they simply unaware, or willfully ignoring the issues? One of us would have gotten steak had corn still been on the menu. But they very recently removed it? How can you be Tex-Mex and not sell corn? Baffling decision. Service was fine. Quick. When all the employees shouted "Welcome to Moe's," I genuinely felt welcomed. And this made the big difference in my perception of this restaurant and their entire culture. It seems to me that everyone is welcomed at Moe's, no matter the color of their skin nor their socio-economic status. And genuinely caring about your customers is something that is lacking in many restaurants and should be top priority in the selection process of their employees. Moe's first started in Atlanta, Georgia in the year 2000 and the letters of their name stand for "Musicians, Outlaws, and Entertainers." They celebrate the unconventional. With the belief that you don't achieve greatness unless you "stir the pot." This Moe's Southwest Grill is conveniently located in the Bridges Shopping Center, next to the South 6 Apartments at the Bridges. It is housed in a beautiful, modern red brick building with their restaurant sign high above in yellow, red, and black colors. High above their two glass door entrance thete is another sign that reads: WELCOME TO MOE'S. Once one steps inside, a sound is heard and all their employees with a big smile shout "Welcome to Moe's." The interior design of the place has exposed black ceiling, large yellowish tile floors and lots of orange and red colors to help create a happy dining experience. It also has lots of windows all around their interior brick walls with posters featuring AUGMENTED REALITY (AR), which can be experienced via the Moe's Rockin' Rewards app. On the right side of the restaurant there is a low wall that goes all around and in front of the ordering counter to lead the way to the large menu on the wall and then to the counter where you tell their employees what you want and you watch them make it right before your eyes. I ordered The Stack with Grilled Steak as my protein and many other items along the way. I invite you to view my photographs that accompany this review. I made it a Meal and got a side of Queso and a Regular Drink. By the way, the Chips are free with your meal, they are made fresh daily, and are thin and crunchy. And if this wasn't enough, their drink machine is one of those where you can choose an already known drink or make your own by adding many flavors. I found this restaurant to be a clean, lovely place to enjoy a Mexican meal in a happy and fun environment. And I highly recommend this restaurant for it's uniqueness and friendly service, as well as for its variety and quality of food.

In receiving that generosity, I offered to treat him to lunch at this particular Chili's restaurant near my hotel at the Tanglewood Mall Roanoke. I wasn't feeling at the time and I knew Chili's was kind of pricey, but had delicious fare. My friend was hungry and I wasn't really at the time. We arrived here around 11:30am on a brisk Sunday morning driving up from Rocky Mount. The ambiance was as pleasant as I remember it to be. It was quiet and nice and away from the kitchen, where it is usually noisier than normal. We had booth seating with a window view and that was cool. The service was good, pleasant, and friendly. My friend and I spent about an hour here from start to finish. I basically ordered chocolate molten cake, since I loved these and is relatively inexpensively priced. It really hit the spot after finishing another 50km ultra marathon in Rocky Mount the day before and it was my reward for it. My friend decided to sample a sampler platter, where it looked pretty good and delicious. I also had a strawberry margarita with my chocolate molten cake just because it just made sense. It was a celebration of sorts and it just happened in this Chili's location in Roanoke, Virginia. I enjoyed these conversation and the overall time spent here. Too bad vacations have to end. It was a quick meal before my friend had to return the rental car and head to the airport himself. For the most part though, the meal was good, especially with the alcohol involved. I even got carded and being over 40+ years old. I guess I still look young or something. If you are in the Roanoke area and love to party, consider coming to Chilis, where the alcohol is good and their food is better. The chocolate molten cake is always a winner every single time. Check it out for yourself. The overall experience here at this Chilis restaurant at the Tanglewood Mall area of Roanoke, Virginia was typical in what you'd expect here. It was quiet on a Sunday since the NFL season was over after Ty Super Bowl. It can get loud but i was glad it was not. It is nice to have those restroom facilities to use on site as well. The restaurant itself was clean and had good air conditioning, even though it was mildly cool outside at the time (low 50's F). The strawberry margarita paired nicely with the chocolate molten cake that I ordered. It was smooth and definitely helped with the entire meal and conversation. My friend decided to have a 3 item simpler platter, which worked good for him. Everything was tasty and the service was good. At the end of the meal, we paid the lunch tab on the device on our table instead of having the server take the payment to a central pay terminal and do the transaction there. After hanging out and just enjoying Sunday morning in Roanoke while having lunch, we left and went our separate ways. For the most part though, it was a good meal with my friend. We both did the event in Rocky Mount the day before and coming to Chilis was a celebration of what the human body is capable of when we believe in ourselves. Hope to be back one day soon for another round of celebrations. But for now, it was definitely a nice time here at Chilis. If you find yourself in Roanoke, Virginia and want lunch or dinner, or possibly just drinks, consider coming down to Chilis here at the Tanglewood Mall. Quite magnificent and very nice on any day or night you might be here. This Chilis location is located at the Tanglewood Mall complex in Roanoke, Virginia. It's physically at 4212 Electric Road, Roanoke. They accept major credit cards, as well as cash. I think they do mobile ordering too, but you'd need the app for that. As far as parking goes, you have a generous helping of parking spots since it's attached to the Tanglewood Mall. If you are a fan of public transportation in Roanoke, bus route 55 will take you directly here from the 3rd street bus terminal In downtown Roanoke. And of course, there is Uber and Lyft to get you here as well. Best bet would be to get here early enough to secure your favorite parking spot and walk on over. Or get here early enough to enjoy the food and drinks that you were looking forward to all week long. I definitely recommend the chocolate molten cake. I think it's been a signature dish of Chilis as far as I can remember and they have it at all locations, I think. Definitely worth the price for sure and with some alcohol, it's definitely worth every penny. At least for this experience anyway. If you fancy a good lunch or dinner, make it Chilis if you're in the Roanoke area. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. Support local! B

Let me first start by saying I was a Moe's fan many years ago then I moved away and didn't have a…read morelocation near me. Now I'm in a new state with a Moe's so I was looking forward to eating at a once favorite place. Not this time. The attached picture is their version of a chicken bowl. And this was after asking for a little more rice!! I was afraid to ask for more chicken because I didn't want to have an extra meat charge added to the already expensive total. When did they raise their prices so high? For one veggie burrito, one chicken bowl, a small container of queso, and one small drink, I paid over $23.00. The burrito was black bean, rice and cheese only. You can see that the food temperature wasn't hot enough to melt the cheese. I was going to ask for lettuce until I saw that the lettuce had way too many brown pieces in it. There was no ice in the drink machine. I got ice from the tea machine. When I asked how to scan the app QR code, the female employee at the register told me I needed to scan my receipt to earn points. She accepted my money and then said she had to go to the bathroom so she called another employee to the register. I'm assuming it was an emergency. No receipt was given and the employee had already completed the transaction. So no rewards or points for this visit. Really doesn't matter that much because I'm not thinking I will be trying it again in the near future. I mentioned twice in front of their employees that this wasn't enough food in the bowl. Not a single one offered to add anything to it. When did they stop saying welcome to Moe's? That doesn't affect my review I just thought it is sad how the customer service had declined. The restaurant was clean but that's the only positive thing I can say about this experience.

Tacos were smashed, wrong meat and I paid for guacamole and queso and did not get it. I used door dash. Bags were ot sealed either. I never call about orders. Nick said call door dash and hung up on me. That's what I get for trying to get a resolution. Should have went to Chipotle.
