We visited on a weekday, which was not busy at all, thank God. I went with my mom, who has never tried this place at all, even after living here for a year now, lol. Anyway, we had an amazing waiter. I forgot her name, but she was the sweetest server and was very attentive. They have a bar and plenty of tables and even have seating upstairs, which overlooks the restaurant. I ordered their Chicken & Waffles, which you can choose between a half chicken, chicken wings, or tenders. I was bummed cause they were out of the wings, so I opted out of the half chicken. Chicken & Waffles was amazing, and the chicken was really tasty and was cooked perfectly. Amazing seasoning and was very juicy, I definitely enjoted this chicken & waffles. This meal did not come with any sides, so keep that in mind, but this meal was more than enough that the sides would've been too much for me. My mom ordered the Southern Catsifh with mac and cheese, sweet potato, and cornbread. This meal was also really good. The fish was cooked well and seasoned well, and the sides were very good. I ordered another mac and cheese and okra to eat at the house, which I enjoyed very much. All in all, Eatz Uptown has great food, amazing customer service, and an amazing experience. I will definitely visit them again when I visit my parents.

If you're in the area, you really need to come here. It's better than Memphis, better than Little Rock, better than Asheville, North Carolina. We had the ribs, the catfish, collard greens baked beans and just kept going from there looking for a hole in the menu and couldn't find it. It's literally incredible. I'm walking out of here with 2 quarts of barbecue sauce. How are guide screeners you end up with such tender ribs with a perfectly executed crisp on the meat I don't know I've never seen it before and I used to judge Memphis in May barbecue literally such a hidden gem!

Located inside the Bolling Wilson hotel on the ground floor, in the front left corner of the building as you walk in from the street front. An updated traditional small interior, with lots of seating outside both on the porch and side patio. We were greeted walking in and opted to sit on the front porch since it was a nice afternoon the day of our visit. Service is professional, kind and attentive. Our server was prompt with our drink orders, appetizer and entrees, and checked on us enough without being overly intrusive. We enjoyed a leisurely meal in a beautiful setting. Starting with the Griddled Focaccia eith balsamic reduction drizzle. A great starter, simple, well prepared and delicious. I opted for the Mustard grilled Pork Chop with a Devils backbone Lager. The chop was nicely prepared but a little overcooked (dry) not bad but still overcooked. Good flavor and a nice presentation, however it was dry which made it tough to cut. The flavor and the sauce made it palatable though, just wish it had been tender and not dry. 4 Stars - All in all, still a decent meal with great service in a nice comfortable locale. 01236

BBQ tends to blend together after a while, but theirs stood out, good flavor without being overpowering, something for everybody. I got the smoked turkey sandwich and the turkey was so tender and juicy I almost ordered a second one, even though the first was plenty filling. I'd be back here in a heartbeat if I'm ever down this direction again.

It's a bit more upscale and the bbq is delicious, there's a good variety of meat selections and sides, portion sizes are good and the prices are reasonable. Prices are competitive with festival food concession prices but coming here you get served and get to sit comfortably in air conditioning! The cocktails and wine are reasonable too. Glasses of house wines are $7. Most of the cocktails are $10. Pints of beer are $5. We've tried many of the meats and sides over our visits and found some of our favorites to be the peppered bacon, dry rub wings, brisket, pulled pork and the house salad. The peppered bacon comes with pickled jalapeños that work really well. The wings are meaty, smoky and crispy. The pulled pork includes crispy ends. So delicious. A house salad doesn't sound like much but the portion is generous. They provide a selection of bbq sauces and I like to blend the Stoney Creek Original with the slightly spicy Memphis sauces together. We've also had combo platters including brisket and burnt ends and those were spot-on too. Sides of beans, seasoned fries, sweet potato soufflé and Mac and cheese are good too. Of the dining spots in downtown Bristol, this is our spot. It's a bit more upscale of a dining experience, the food is quality is consistent, prices are reasonable and service is attentive.

My grandchildren loved it so much that they wanted to return the following day for dinner. This visit did not go as expected. Food came out cold . Had been sitting out for a while. We barely ate our food as it was nothing like the previous evening. Seemed to be very short staffed , but our server did the best she could under the circumstances. I ordered fried okra as one of my vegetables and I never received it until we were ready to leave. Server said she put the order in 3 separate times , so it sounds like they were also short staffed in the kitchen. I had decided I would never return again or go to my local restaurant very close to my house in NC. As I was paying , the cashier asked me how our food was and I told the truth. She said the store manager would want to talk to me and make things right because they pride themselves on the quality of their food and their service. I was absolutely not trying to get free food but hoped by sharing our experience that this would help the restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and kind and I had no intention of posting a bad review giving the store the benefit of the doubt that maybe this was not the usual. I had eaten there a couple of times before on visits when I was staying at the Hilton Garden next door and everything was wonderful. I have had their dinners and breakfast in the past without any complaints. This trip I was staying at a Marriott near a lot of recommended restaurants, but I chose to drive to the other side of town to go there again after I ate there the night before with my cousins and everything was great. This store has an excellent manager who seemed very upset about what we experienced. I told him what happened and he was very apologetic and insisted on comping our food. I said that was not necessary and I did not expect that , but shared my concerns to hopefully help other customers have a better experience and to be sure this location in my hometown where locals work , would do better in the future. I had no plans to post a negative review, but after this manager went above and beyond and restored my faith in Cracker Barrel, I felt it was necessary to post a good review as any restaurant can have an "off night " due to unforeseen circumstances.

Not edible at all. Waitress brought another piece but never bothered to ask if that was better or how everything was. My grilled chicken tenders were pretty good, however, the sides (corn and green beans) were fair at best. Cracker Barrel has switched to the cheapest available canned vegetables. So sad, because I used to love their green beans. Corporate will never read or listen to complaints because all that matters is money, not quality. Honestly, done with CB unless I am desperate and there is no where else nearby.
