Chili's is a great restaurant or a quick meal on the go that feels a little bit more like a sit down meal. It is a public atmosphere so if you are OK with that, it could be a great place to eat I'll the other hand if you're not into drinking alcohol, there are plenty of spaces away from the main bar area where one can sit and not worry about being around the alcohol. We just left this Chill's, ugh. the food was nothing to brag about!!! My husband n I had chips with meat salsa, and poor quality bone in chicken wings. It was eatable but certainly far from the best!!! What bothered me more than Anything was the short, long red haired hostess that had cat or dog hair all over her dark blue shirt. Oh my goodness, it made it really hard for me to eat thinking about the pet hair on her shirt and more than likely falling off her leaving a trail. We waited at least 30 minutes after we got our drinks before she finally came back to take our order, didn't bring a straw for our drinks which was no biggie, after she brought our food out that was the last we seen of her till we decided to leave, had no napkins, never came back to see if we needed anythang, never brought our check, had to go ahead and just check out at the table and get a texted receipt. I went to chilis in Van Buren Arkansas and I thought I was having a good time, but when the bill came the bartender charged me for 2 checks, and after I told them about it I was told that one would be refunded, they say it was a mistake, but upon looking at my bank statement they charged me anyways and now they say it will take 7-10 days to get my money, AND they still charged me double what my bill should be, the manager SHANDRA wasn't any help and when I call the corporate number it says they'll get back to me in 48 hours. If you ever decide to visit this location, be prepared to get RIPPED OFF, I believe they did this because they knew I was from out of town and just passing through!!! read more

Tonight's dining experience: We DoorDashed our meal from Chili's Van Buren, AR. Let me start by saying our Dasher did everything right. We received a Philly with meat only-no cheese, no onions, no nothing. The loaded fries came without cheese.and half-serving of ranch. The store manager had the audacity to blame me by saying 'the computer says you removed those ingredients'. Nope, didn't happen. In the end, we were expected to drive to the next town over for the order to be corrected. I've never felt so disrespected before. My family and I sat down and waited for our service for a while. The restaurant was very slow and our server didn't greet us until I had to go to the hostess. They said there wasn't any grill options available so we had to change our order, they didn't let us know before hand, the waitress told us the hostess was supposed to let us know. We ordered drinks, waited a while until we got up and left . When we were leaving we told our waitress we're going elsewhere while she was delivering food. I'm not angry about eating here but i am going to leave an honest review. I will never stop here again because of the food and service we received. Our server was nice, not going to complain abt her. It seems they were short staffed and our server doubled as the bartender also I think. We were on a roadtrip from the east to west coast and stopped here for dinner around 9:15pm. We waited abt 4 minutes before being seated bc there were no hosts. After being seated our drink orders were taken and brought and then we placed our food orders which included starters. While the chips and salsa came immediately, the loaded fries were not at the table after 15 minutes. We asked for it at that point and after another 5 minutes, our server showed up with them. She said I just grabbed one that was sitting there in the back. Well they had definitely been sitting in the back bc the fries were cold, the cheese was melted and had been sitting there for a long time, and we'd asked for jalapeños on the side but they were all over the fries. After another 20 minutes, we had to ask where our food was. Abt 5 minutes later the food came. I had ordered the pasta carbonara (see the pic) and not only was it lukewarm/cold, the presentation was terrible. Plate looked like some stuff had been scraped off the side and it had dried on already. I've worked in food service for a long time and I would've never served a plate looking like that. The rest of the food was ok. We asked for our desert to go and it took abt 15 minutes for 2 pieces of cheesecake and my friend stood next to the bar and waited for it. Went to Chili's in Van Buren last night to celebrate my birthday. No, we didn't tell them it was my birthday. But my husband and I were unhappy from the beginning. Just to get menus and drinks took extra long, we had to ask for napkins, then when we asked for a setup, that took even longer, and when they did bring one, they brought only one. We had to ask for small plates to share the triple appetizer plate, which seemed like a surprise to the server, as well. We also ordered chips and queso - pretty sure the queso was a bit of cheese from a can and last night's chili dumped in it and stirred around. Totally unimpressed with the taste and the texture, and it looked even worse, sort of brownish gray with unidentifiable lumps. The chips were good, though. Regarding the food--the southwest eggrolls have been my favorite for years, and I always order them. I'm pretty sure they've downsized them, and they just cut them on the diagonal to make them look better. They were tepid at best, and in fact, so was everything on the platter. The sliders were two dry little burgers that my husband couldn't eat more than one. This man will literally eat almost anything, and he only ate one and left the other. After a server brought the appetizer, the original waiter stopped by to ask if everything was fine. My husband nodded and said yes because he knew I wasn't going to be nice if I was speaking. We're of two minds on whether to speak up about service and food in a restaurant. If I think it's awful, I say so, because I believe that the service and food never get better if customers don't speak up. My husband believes that it's not worth doing because they won't change anyway. I know the pandemic problems hit every restaurant in the nation--and that Chili's is no option. The waiter mentioned that it was the first time he'd had to deal with an entire section. Mind you, there were only three tables with customers. Any kind of service problem is based on a lack of training, so I'm not blaming him--I'm blaming the management who didn't train him very well at all. read more

This review is more for the food. The service was adequate, not fast or too slow. The house salad I ordered ( with avocado added) was not fresh, lettuce and spinach were limp. The avocado was very ripe with brown spots. I had the chicken enchilada soup, it tasted like it had been sitting too long. My husband had the original chicken tenders, he said they were "anemic ". I couldn't get who was actually my server...it was not closing time yet (9pm) but every one was fixing to leave...the manager brought my food. It was California flatbread. Looked like everything but flatbread ... the plate was covered with tons of melted cheese, bits of bacon, few diced chicken and discolored avocado over a saggy dough. Arrived for a lunch and was seated immediately. Even asked us what side we'd like to sit on. Waitress was friendly, food was good, served as ordered, and arrived in a timely manner. Overheard a dining patron unhappy with a steak they ordered, waitress took it back and got another. They took the order off the ticket and apologized. Very well handled, even though the patron didn't reciprocate the attitude. I mentioned the ziosk in my checkin. Handy little device for the table, would be helpful for refills and desert orders, and I paid my bill from the table with it. Nice addition to the restaurant. However, its quite annoying to any of us that aren't playing games. Table behind us was playing and it was VERY loud and disturbing to my tables conversation. read more

Dine in service and food are almost always great. But don't expect much if you're getting a to-go order. I ordered a salad. Literally Caesar lettuce, grilled chicken and avocado slices only. For $10.51 (including the extra .75¢ charge for avocados) I got maybe 10 small bite size pieces of chicken & 3 slices of avocados. Geez you can go to the Sizzler and have steak and food bar for less than that. Let's just say they skimp a lot on the to-go orders..... But inside service and food are usually good. I get the salmon alot at Chilis. First time at this location. Salmon was good but "mashed" potatoes weren't exactly mashed. They had alot of chunks in them I couldn't chew because I just had surgery on my mouth. That's why I ordered "mashed". I also ordered the coleslaw that was just awful. Beware....as of 8-25-09 this is a dry county!! They don't serve alcohol in the county. However, the wait staff was very nice and friendly. They were prompt and courteous. Chili's is our favorite place to eat in our town. (Van Buren, AR) We can always find something we want to eat even though our tastes are different so we never want what the other one is having. We've taken guests there to eat on a few occasions also. We also order food to go from Chili's quite often and it's always hot and fresh when we get it home and only one time they left something off our order.
