Probably really a four star but our server Lauren was so great that I'll throw in the extra one... My family got into town later on a Sunday evening and Chuy's was near our hotel and, more importantly, open. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated promptly, not really a problem at 7:30 on a Sunday night but there were still many occupied tables. Our server, Lauren, showed up with a basket of chips, fresh salsa (that had a little kick) and a tasty cheese sauce. All were refreshed before our order arrived. Got to say, while I didn't expect the food to be bad, I didn't expect it to be as awesome as it was. The boom boom chicken enchiladas were really something special. My wife's veggie enchiladas were also excellent. Lauren checked in regularly without being intrusive and kept our drinks full. Very chatty and pleasant. Perfect balance for a server. The restaurant was clean with eclectic decor. I particularly liked the tables that reminded of my grandma's kitchen and the padded booths that were reminiscent of bumper car seats (IMO.) Throw in reasonable prices and this restaurant was a winner all around. Will definitely go again the next time we're visiting family in Fort Smith. read more

We stopped by bc most places were closed or super packed due to the holidays. I will say we had a very pleasant experience and the food was tasty. We were greeted by smiles and seated in a booth by the bar. Our server was attentive and professional. He brought Chip's and salsa then brought Jalapeño dip when he refilled our salsa. We had the steak burrito bowl, Tacos Al Carbon and chicken enchilada. The temperature and flavor of everything we had was quite tasty. The salsa was a bit spicy but we liked the lime in it. It was like a pico salsa. Oh, the queso was too yellow for my liking but it wasn't bad. Bathroom was brightly lit and had shreds of tp every where but that's on the customers too. Food quality excellent but service awful. It hasn't always been like that But Brenda messed up all three orders and then she was MIA. We had to stop other waitresses to help us and go to the host stand to get to go boxes ourselves. Then we asked the hostess for to-go unsweet teas and she brought us sweet tea. The rest of the wait staff was hustling and on point with their customers it appeared. No manager was visible. The host was charming and since it was just me, I was directed to take a seat at the bar. I greeted right away and served up chips and salsa. The chips are fresh, thin, salty and delicious. The salsa was also fresh but a bit spicy for my taste. The creamy jalapeño dip is on point. I ordered the taco and enchilada plate, I forget what it was called. The taco and rice were good. The beans didn't taste homemade, but they were ok. The enchiladas sauce was too chili powdery. I like it more like chili sauce. Didn't care for the sweet tea either. I would come back though, you just have to try stuff to see what you like. read more

Everything was good delicious have eaten here many times since they opened. I enjoy chuy's in every town. I find one.

Macala was very good. My daughter messed up her order. The little rat didn't order it special with queso as it comes with con carne standard. Macala said no problem and got her a new plate with the different enchilada. A+ service from her. Good was good and we got full. Would recommend and especially if you get Macala. read more

Service is always great and the staff is so polite! Love the way the place is decorated. Especially the dog photos all over the walls. I have celiac disease and this is one of the restaurants I can trust. I normally have the veggie enchiladas with rice and beans and never seem to have any negative reactions. I can't say that for everyone that has celiac, but I am pretty sensitive to cross contamination. Anyways - Highly recommend! read more

If I could give a lower review...I would. My 86 year old lady friend went to eat there today and ask for a table and she was told you only have a table for two and that she has to sit at the bar. She was broken hearted and just left.....shame on such rudeness. Will never support such behavior. read more

The "manager" or one walking around with his iPad was so incredibly rude to my family and I as we were set in the bar area by the hostess and immediately asked why we were seated there. The man had the audacity to put his hands on my father's shoulder and repeatedly and increasingly louder asked us who gave us permission to sit down. I will never darken the door of this facility as the food was fine but the service and the way my family was treated was piss poor. I don't care in the slightest if they succeed in this town or not. The restaurant is in a good area and the restaurant employees are nice and listen. There food is good, but they have to much sauces and they are too tart tasting. But they do give you a good amount of food and I recommend trying them to see if you like them. They are worth the time to try. read more

If they would chill their drinks/glasses, they would taste a lot better! Their drinks are somehow lukewarm even with ice.

My husband took me here for our anniversary. The place was not busy so when this happened I couldn't believe it. First we asked for a margarita. When they brought it I said we want the ice crushed. He said they don't have that kind and even got someone else and they said this was the only kind. We explained that we were here a few weeks ago and had it crushed and he asked if I wanted it frozen. Sure I said. They brought it and that was what we asked for then. Then we ordered our food. 3 other tables got filled. When they started serving everybody but us I asked what's going on. We were here way before any of the other people. The guy apologized and then started bringing our food when they brought me mine. They put everything in it that I asked them not to so I asked the guy I ordered this plain and he goes. Yes it's on the ticket and took my food back. It took forever to get the plate of food and it was cold When we told them this was ridiculous. The only thing they did was give us a check. so I asked to speak to the manager and they said he'll be there in 10 minutes. I left my phone number for the manager to call me that has been almost 2 hours ago and no call This place really sucks. read more

Being a Texas native that now lives in Arkansas, I was pleasantly surprised to see a Chuy's being built. I tried to go for dinner but the place was so packed out I ended up just trying again at lunch. Very glad I did, food is excellent and so is the friendly staff. read more

Giving them some grace being it was the first weekend of opening and around 7ish on Friday evening. Downside this place is not set up for parties over 4 for best not wait for a family event if wanting to try it out. Once seated 45 min after waiting we had a fantastic waitress who even though was exhausted from working several doubles still yet done an amazing job to get our food and drinks to us much quicker then waiting for a table. I will say we learned some very disturbing policies during our evening meal, one wait staff is the one that washes everything your using in the restaurant so not only are they serving you but they are responsible in making sure you have what is needed for your meal as well and too top it off all tips placed on a card are then placed in a total at end of night and a big percentage is split between bar and bus crew. So after this wait staff has done all they can to earn your satisfaction they then are required to split earnings. My one point if this is too say when your finished eating take your conversation and visiting outside so the next group can be waited on so this person doing all they can for you is able to earn as much in one shift that they can considering g the factors played into their income. To say the least our waitress rocked and oh the food well it was decent considering it's the opening week hopefully over time it does get better read more
