I'm not getting the negative comments after three visits. I'm sure there were some start up issues at first but cut these guys a break - it's Needles, not Phoenix. All of our visits have had friendly service and good food. The mini tacos are interestingly unique and the french dip was tasty. Added bonus is that they offer mashed potatoes and gravy as an upgrade from fries (I hate fries). We have not tried dinner yet but plan to soon. By the way, this place is ultra clean with a full bar. I recommend giving them a try. They also have large private rooms for large parties. read more

Enjoying a delicious mushroom Swiss burger at The Chilling point, can't decide which is better... this amazing burger or the delightful service provided by "Laughlin" or Christine, not to mention getting to enjoy some ESPN on what I assume is 2000 inch TV. If I had to find a complaint and it was hard to do so it would only be that I had to drive all the way to Needles California to enjoy such a wonderful meal. Just ate at the Chillin' Point in Needles. I do not recommend this place. The hush puppies that were so good the last time we were there, are now made fresh the server said but are horrible. They are huge, more like a donut, sweet tasting. The fried shrimp tasted like they were out of a box; the cocktail sauce was chili sauce; the tarter sauce we couldn't decide what it was; they advertise cod on their menu but all you can get is catfish; the salad greens were wilted and old. What a nice surprise! Just passing through Needles and booked a room at Best Western next door. Got a 10% discount at this restaurant as a result. I had the .. western bacon cheeseburger (called something else here), and it was sooo good. Wife got the shrimp and chips which was also good. The potato bacon soup was awesome, and the fries particularly crispy & delicious. Everything was great, tho. I nommed my sizable burger in like three minutes. Thinking about coming back for breakfast before hitting the road. We'll be back through this way, and will eat here again. Oh, and also very nice servers working on this Thursday evening. read more

We ate here last night 8/5/2023. Food was ok however the service was so bad. We have 2 diabetic patients in our party. It took them forever to serve the other order of the diabetic patient. They serve breakfast all day and one in our party ordered pancakes. That one really took forever as in we were all done eating and they have still have not served the pancakes. Pancakes finally came but no syrup or butter. We asked for both. Waitress came with syrup but no butter but said she will come back for the butter. A good ten minutes after and still no butter. So one from our party got up to get the butter. The waitress finally came with 4 cubes of frozen butter. The waitress was very apologetic and mentioned that she will take off from our tab the two orders that took forever to be served. Our bill came and not only were the 2 orders not taken off but a 20% TIP was added to our bill. I understand we are a party of 7 and that 20% tip will be added but after all the bad service they provided, good customer service would dictate that something differently needed to be done here. No apologies , nothing from the manager about the bad service they provided but was just stern about the 20% tip charge. I do not recommend this place. There are other restaurants in Needles with better food and service. They could be better. read more

We love staying at Best Westerns Motels/Hotels. Their 'free' breakfast is a wonderful addition - toward our overall experience. The Colorado Inn - Best Western at Needles CA. uses 'Chilling Point Restaurant and Bar' for their 'Free' breakfast offer. Best Western uses this restaurant as their 'free' breakfast option. Chilling Point food has surpassed any breakfast we've had from BW. Do yourself a favor, use this place for any option you will need while traveling. read more

Amazing food amazing staff specially Kylie Needles California is really starting to build up if you want to really really good food work from Orange County you need to come here. Restaurant is spotless and there is where perfection ends. The first time we went in was just after it opened so was pleasantly surprised by the food. Not so pleasantly surprised by the price or the service - but good food is worth it. Went back tonight, the onion rings and zucchini have changed taste wise (not price) and they suck. The hamburger arrived wrong for my companion, it was a western burger so there's barely anything to mess up. Also it was ladies night so I ordered a Long Island ice tea and it was so awful I left it untouched after the first sip. We waited to be seated for a while. We had to get our own menus 10 minutes into waiting for someone. As the manager just looked at us grab them. The person that was seated behind us already received there drinks prior to then. 15 minutes later we had to ask that same manager if we can get someone to order our drinks and our food. Since we have a table of hungry kids big and small. The place did look clean. Right after we finally ordered our drinks and meal same time ordered. The people who was seated right after us got there food already. Seems like they forgot about a group of 8. 4 of them being hungry kids. The food then sat for another 10 minutes without anyone grabbing it at the kitchen. Mind you we are now the last person in the restaurant. This place sucks for customer service. We went there for the Friday night fish fry. The waitress was wonderful and so on top of everything that is the only reason that I am giving it for stars. The fish appeared to have a crispy batter on the outside but the inside of the batter was undercooked and very mushy. They offered to give me their other style of fish. Poached eggs were nicely medium (I'd forgotten to ask for soft). Husband had scrambled with hash browns (yummy) and all the meat. He was happy.
