Went last night with a party of 7. Service was great! Bbq was delicious! Sat on the restaurant side since we had small kids.

Greeted when we came in. Fun local restaurant bar the patrons are always nice to see and say Hi to. The food is made to order always great. The place is clean and in the bar area there are TVs and music. It's a nice place to have Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. Veteran's special for breakfast. Check out the place you'll be back. read more

First time at this place and I was not impressed. The waitress forgot to put our order in and had to come back to the table to ask us what we ordered. There were only 2 tables occupied at the time. When we received our food my steak was overcooked and my boyfriend's chicken fried steak was salty and just thrown together. Over all experience was terrible. The WARMEST BEER in town! We hadn't been to Hooches in a while primarily because the customer service was terrible. We decided to give it another chance because I was craving their Liver and Onions, big mistake. We walked in and sat at the bar, and ofcourse the A/C was out on that side of the bar. We ordered 2 beers which were room temperature (warm). My husband asked for a glass with ice so he could chill his beer! We were hungry so we proceeded to place our order for the Liver & onions dinner. All I can say is yuck! I kid you not, the liver was rotten, not fully cooked and tasted terrible. Your soda was absolutely horrible, and the fish and chips were completely soaked in grease. The Scorpion Burger had no flavor at all. Even the chips for the chips and salsa were undercooked -- it felt like eating raw tortilla dough and don't get me started on salsa. Overall, the food was very disappointing. read more

The service keeps getting worse. I've been coming here for years and the service keeps going down hill. The thin young lady with the tattoos Will walk by you until you wave at her to get served it's like the bar tenders walk around with their heads down. On a quick road trip, i discovered this bar and restaurant. I absolutely loved the atmosphere here. The bartender was friendly and energetic, the patrons seemed to have a good time, and the vibe was right. I ordered some wings, and they were great! Plenty of Bleu cheese as well. The drinks were flowing, and they had free peanuts! Just like bars in the old days! The service was prompt. I would have loved to stay longer. If you're in the area, check them out. If you have never tried BBQ PORK TACOS, you have really missed something great. At Hooches they have a Monday Taco special. $2 Tacos, Pork, Chicken and Ground beef. Trust me. Extremely disappointing service. We arrived at 3:03 PM and left at 3:14 PM without being acknowledged once. The only male bartender--who also appeared to be serving food--looked directly at us but never offered a menu, a drink, or even a greeting. Yes, the place was busy, but being completely ignored while staff were clearly aware of our presence is unacceptable. We were staying at the Avi Casino and wanted to go off site to eat. We were fortunate to find Hooch's 95 Bar and Grill. We found the atmosphere relaxing, the drinks perfection and the food delicious. The owner and staff were very friendly. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area. read more

A few friends and I went in about 1030a today.5/7/25 There was a table of three ladies finishing their neal. No one greeted us so we waited almost 10 min before a woman came flying quickly by without looking at our way saying I'll be with you in a minute. After a minute she came walking quickly by throwing menus on the table without looking at us saying I'll be back. She only smiled and looked at us to take our order. The woman that brought food out wasn't better she stood at the end of our table reached over people. When I stuck my fork in my food there was a black hair in it. I asked the waitress that took our order to please take it away. I lost my appetite. The woman that brought the food out came back to tell me no one with black hair works there. My husband and I walked in there for a couple beers and burgers. We walked in the restaurant side at first this was the first time we've ever been in there. Mowing on over to the bar where we saw two bartenders. Made eye contact with both of them. No one said anything. Five minutes went by made eye contact with one of them as she walked by and she still said nothing. I Live two miles from this place. I SAID I WOULDN'T BE BACK BUT GAVE IT ANOTHER TRY.....It's in a great location . Problem is the area where the pool table is and the area near the dart game. The stink is horrendous. The bathrooms both men and woman are filthy and this is the reason for the smell through that entire area!!! We were there yesterday and there was vomit on floor by pool tables. We arrived at noon. The dart board area had dog feces. The cleaning gal was pissed. This red haired bartender told her to go get another girl in back as she's doing nothing to clean. This place has to do better as we were there for 30 minutes and left as the stink was very bad. The owner was there walking around in restaurant area. I asked to speak to her and she was too busy. If you can't keep the obvious area clean I can't imagine their kitchen! Won't be back ever!!!!! Fantastic Bloody Marys!! So, this place is a "must go" for some of my family, they rarely miss on any trip to the area. I've given it a try a time or two and it's not too shabby. Food portions are big and hearty. You won't leave here still hungry, that's for sure. Lots of great breakfast options. Generic food selection with generic food quality and taste. however. Hooch's Special (smothered in gravy) is definitely large enough for 2 people. Gravy is pretty good sausage gravy, nice and thick, flavorful. Early Bird Specials are the way to do it though. They are offered Mon-Fri and there's a great list of options from eggs, oatmeal and French toast, all for under 6 bucks. Regular meals run from about $6-14. The lunch and dinner menu looks pretty large and plentiful with some great looking typical bar-food options, however I've only gone for breakfast. Ever. LOL! Burgers, pizzas, salads, sandwiches, nachos, eggrolls.... one of these days, I'll head over during a different meal. Outdoor and indoor seating, live band on St. Pats Day. Definitely a pretty cool bar atmosphere; casual, relaxed. Service is hit or miss, but mostly pretty friendly and talkative. Tends to be on the slow side for meal delivery, but that gives you time to order another round of those fantastic Bloody Marys! CHEERS!! read more

Do NOT believe the sign that says they have brisket. Whatever we got was not real brisket. Inedible. Disgusting. Thin, chewy, dry, and had a very off flavor. My husband couldn't stand the cornbread either. He said it was like cardboard. The only redeemable thing on the brisket plate we got was the coleslaw. That was surprisingly delicious. read more

First of all the food was definitely not worth the wait... unless your getting buffalo wings but in reality what bar doesn't have decent wings. I got a pizza to go a year ago and it was fantastic! A year later I ordered another large pizza and it has shrunk to only 14" and had hardly any toppings. Not sure if the price dropped, don't remember what I paid before. But $25 for a pizza that cost probably less than $3 to make is rediculous! read more

Went to Hooch's 95 first time and it was extremely loud in the bar/lounge area. Food was okay with flavor. Decided to go back for lunch and my husband and I ordered and shared the beef brisket platter. Beef brisket with sauce had a nice flavor. Again, the lounge music is just too loud for us. read more

Breakfast was fresh, hot and delicious. We couldn't have asked for better service! Staff was genuinely welcoming.

It took us two tries to eat here. The first time we tried we sat at the bar and could just barely get something to drink...the waitress was busy and we were somewhat pressed for time so we cut our losses and moved on. The next time we tried we had more time and were willing to wait out the delays to get food. I ordered the cod and fries. My food was actually pretty good both the fries and cod were tasty, crispy, and served nice and hot. The issue was not the food it was the atmosphere and wait. It seems a lot of locals eat at Hooch's and they take up a lot of the waitress/bartenders' time and energy. At some points, it felt like we had accidentally walked in on someone's house party and we were low on the priority list when it came to service. I would go back for the food but will not be going back because of the atmosphere, I will leave Hooch's 95 to the locals. read more

I haven't yelped in years and I have to say something in hopes of saving you 2 hours of your life and your hard earned money. This is a bar, that has some food. It's not a restaurant that serves edible food. Everything is microwaved and old. You can tell bu taste and smell it is past expiration dates. Do not order the chicken fried steak. It was not fried. It was not battered. It was a microwaved piece of expired meat. There was no words to describe it. We ordered 3 at our table and a 3 were the same. Microwaved chewy musty (I am not even sure if that is the right way to describe it) piece of meat. Out of 11 people 3 meals were somewhat edible. Waitress was great but seemed overworked. While bartender runs around and only checks on her regulars tables. We would have loved to order a few mimosas and bloody marys but never got the chance to. read more

six of us came for a late lunch and I could not have been more disappointed, I had the brisket plate, four thin slices two of which were half fat. the smallest amount of Cole slaw ever, two bites. Three of us had the full rack of babyback ribs, I must say some of the meatiest I've ever seen but served cool and the thick half undercooked. the two pulled pork sandwiches were good lot's of meat and tasty. Stopped here passing through town. It's a pretty big place but it's a dive. TL;DR- skippable. Let's face it, we're still in a pandemic but they don't seem to understand that. Bartender with the alien tattoo on her chest had a mask hanging from her ear but didn't wear it once and kept leaning in to take our order. Older lady owner wore no mask whatsoever and didn't take the hint when she got inches away from us and I kept trying to lean far away. Take the hint. I don't know you and you don't know me so back up and mask up. They bleach their tables down but there's no distancing in the bar and the place fills up. I can confidently say I have no reason to return to that town anyways but if I lived there I'd certainly spend my money at a place who took your safety seriously instead. Wine- they possess it. It's swill. You're not going to get anything nice here. Food- Caesar salad is ok, grilled cheese is something on par with what your 16 yr old babysitter would make, fries weren't crispy enough and very salty. Restrooms- eek. Wash your hands twice. It's a cheap place but you're better off grabbing something after the CA state line instead. read more

Amazing barbecue here, some of the best ribs I have ever had. As good as the best places in Memphis and KC. Coleslaw and cornbread on point.

Great bar food with our favorite being loaded tots & bourbon wings yum! Nice outdoor patio too.
