Got a large dessert to share. It's a pretty typical rolled ice cream shop flavor-wise. They had eight ish base flavors to choose from. They do have a lot of mix ins and I like that the mix ins are included with the price for the size you get. We opted for vanilla with Oreo's and cookie dough on top. They give you these silly little wooden spoons which would be fine but because of the way they make the ice cream, it's harddddddd. My spoon snapped in half and when I asked for another, she said it happens all the time. That being said they mix the toppings in REALLY well so the flavor of the ice cream ends up being fantastic. I have a peanut allergy and they were kind enough to open up a new machine that wasn't currently being used to making my ice cream to help decrease the risk of cross contamination. Cool place! First time having rolled ice cream, did the number one which is Oreo mixed in with their vanilla base and topped with a brownie. I was not expecting the brownie to be so dang tasty, not pre-made tasting, but soft and slightly gooey fresh made brownie flavor. Wish I would have down the brownie wirh the base and topping. Perhaps next time. We got the mega size to share, we could've easily shared with a smaller size (one adult two children under 8) it was a LOT of ice cream in the mega size! All in all, you pay for the experience, and it wasn't a let down! They also had games to entertain the kiddos, and they were mostly in working order which was a pleasant surprise. Finally done myself in downtown Hilo and thought that ice cream sounded delicious. Let's try Chillville. So really cute little space where you order at the counter and wait for your ice cream. They have three bench lack tables inside for you to eat your ice cream. If you decide not to take it out. Service is very friendly. The menu gives you lots of options, I ended up getting vanilla ice cream with Captain crunch And strawberry sauce topping. The ice cream and the toppings tasted nothing like I had expected. You are very very, very good especially the ice cream delicious creamy and fresh. I definitely will be going back. It's not necessarily the lowest price in town. The Ke how do you know how to spell Kiki like kids Kiki right Keiki size was $9 but was definitely worth it. It was more than enough to satisfy my craving for ice cream. Definitely recommended. The Good: delicious fresh ice cream in a very chill environment and friendly service. The Bad: as with most places in Hilo, parking can be really challenging. I'm so glad Chillville has opened in Hilo! It has been a while since we've had any decent ice cream parlor in town, so this is a wonderful new addition. I really like their mocha base rolled ice cream -- it's so rich and creamy! I feel like it's creamier than other rolled ice creams that I've tried. I also like that they have a wide variety of toppings to choose from, so you can try different combinations every time you go. The inside is also nice and air conditioned and there is ample seating and lots of board games if you wanted to stay and hang out with friends. Another added bonus is that you get to watch your ice cream be made right in front of you! They also do events, which is cool, BUT we have shown up to their store hungry for ice cream and they were closed due to being at events across town. There's a good range of flavor choices, including vegan coconut that (surprisingly) wasn't overly sweet. Then there are the mix ins, toppings, and drizzles, all of which are extra, so be prepared to spend more than you might have anticipated walking in. There's quite a bit of empty space that would probably be better filled with 2-3 small tables, but the place is neat and clean. Apparently you can't lean on anything though. My husband and I went to Chillville at about 8 pm and the place was freezing. Maybe to help with their service of rolling ice cream. They provided nice seating and provided games that I haven't played with since the early 2000's. There was a variety of interesting flavors and mix's. I got the strawberry chocolate flavored ice cream with cookie dough and brownie topping, drizzled with what was supposed to be ube condensed milk. But it looked like regular condensed milk. Aloha is alive here! I called last week after reading some reviews. My daughter's birthday was today and she asked for an ice cream party last minute. I spoke with one of the owners, Jake, who asked for the date and details and said they were usually closed on Mondays, but that he would speak with his wife and see if they could get some staff in. This was the sweetest and kindest offer! I really wanted to know if they would be okay with 20+ people dropping in at once, but we were able to turn this into a little private party for her! We met Allison, Jake's wife - she and their other staff were so friendly and warm. So fun to watch them create the ice cream mixes and rolls. Many fun flavor combos! My favorite was my son's chocolate, peanut butter, mochi, whip cream and sprinkle toppings. To my surprise they also had tons of games available for free play. A great idea once the kids were a bit hopped up on sugar. We just brought some super simple deco and this was the perfect little party for our 4 yr old. The kids didn't want to leave!
