I have to say that I've been going through a lot lately and my faith in the kindness of this world sometimes wavers although I do my best to be kind to others. It's people like the ones at G&M Auto Body that restore my faith in humanity. I ended up stuck right across the street from them (in the middles of the road) right after work on my way to get gas not realizing how low I was and the car stopped. Dave (I found his name out later because I went back to thank them again) came out and asked if he could help push my car to the side and I thanked him very much and asked him If he could please help me. He went and got 3 more Men to help push me but the car wouldn't go into neutral, it ended up starting back up and I though I could make it to the gas station (1 1/2 blocks away at that point.) I told them I would try and got half a block before it turned off again. Miguel came back out after seeing me still there with a gas can and took my card and walked to and from the gas station for me bought gas for me and put it in as well. In the middle of the street! While I was parked there and before they helped me people were pulling up on me with my hazard lights beeping their horns and driving around me looking at me angrily and I was feeling bad because it was one more thing added to my stress in life. I am beyond grateful for their compassion and will be recommending them to anyone I know that needs car repairs etc. I'm even going to post their card at my job for my coworker. Her car was pristine and they were able to find parts needed to repair her vehicle. After that I've stopped by for minor issues on my vehicles. Today, they completed a repair on my SUV which was run into while parked. That vehicle is a 2002 model, and Dave was able to locate the part that the dealer no longer carries. I have actually been here a many times for estimates when I was involved in accidents from my…read moreinsurance. I never actually did any work until my car was involved in an accident making it not drivable. The car was actually towed here and the staff did not bother to reach out or acknowledge that the car has arrived at their shop. I actually had to call in to see if they did any estimates or begun any work on the car. I then signed and submitted all the required paperwork from them to start the tear down and repairs. A month has then passed where they had my car in their possession and insurance already approved the tear down and repairs. There was no communication whatsoever on the status of the repairs and I called asking for an update and received no response back. I actually went in person to check on the status and my car was nowhere in sight at the shop. I spoke with Fernando and he told me they are working on the car. Fast forward and patiently waiting 2 weeks later I receive a call that my car was ready for pickup. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the lady at the front desk who was very rude and did not acknowledge my presence. After paying them my deductible and having them retrieve my car, they simply left my car key in the seat and walked away. Customer service here definitely needs improvement. After picking up my car from Auto 360, I immediately noticed issues. The pre-collision system had stopped working, and the wheels were creaking. I brought the car back the very next morning and spoke with Fernando again. Surprisingly, he didn't seem shocked to see me return and gave the impression he already knew about the problems with the repairs, yet still let me drive off with the car in that condition. I do give them credit for the body work, as the paint matching and blending was on point. Another month passed with no updates. When I followed up in person, I was told to give them another 2 days, as they sent my car for an alignment. Eventually, I did get a call saying the car was finally ready. In my experience, it seems like delays might be tied to issues with insurance reimbursements, as they submitted multiple supplements to my insurer for additional approvals. If you are considering bringing your car here, be prepared for a long wait and double-check their work thoroughly. Hopefully you have rental car coverage or else the wait will be unbearable. If something isn't right, don't just leave a review here. Speak up and hold them accountable. To their credit, as an apology for the 2 month delay, they replaced my bald tires and performed an alignment as a courtesy.

From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, stress free, and fairly priced. A&W is a family-owned business, and Anwar and Waseem were outstanding to work with. They were professional, communicative, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was done right. The quality of the repair was exceptional. the car looks as if it was never damaged at all. What really impressed me was the attention to detail. Even though they are clearly very busy and have no shortage of customers, they returned my car spotless inside and out. They went above and beyond my expectations in every way. They probably don't need another glowing review given how much business they get, but exceptional service deserves recognition. I am new to the Bay area, and truly don't know anyone, so I was recommended this body shop by a local religious leader. Before I was done describing what happened to my vehicle, the guy cut me off and asked where my car was located. I said Palo Alto, and was going to add that I could get the car towed if needed, but he cut me off and said that I was too far. He said I should call body shops in Palo Alto, which he would know were out of my price range (I drive a 2011 Toyota Corolla) if he allowed me to finish. I was going to ask if he had any recommendations for affordable body shops closer to me but he hung up on me. Again, can't speak to quality of car repair, but you shouldn't be treating anyone this poorly, let alone potential customers.

There was no free re-test offered if the car failed smog the first time, but I felt that was reasonable given how labor-intdnsivd it is to get there older cars smogged. I believe Shiva performed the smog himself. The service was okay - he kept being pulled into other tasks from other mechanics working in his shop and that delayed the smog a bit. I also noticed that he and another mechanic started working on something else in my engine bay while they were smogging it and I speculate that they may have been tightening some loose bolts for me, so that was nice. Overall, I feel like this place charged me very fairly and came across as competent.

I have been coming to Kevin since 2020 for services ranging from brakes, alternator replacement, tires, oil changes, etc. Time and time again, Kevin and his team has delivered exceptional service. They are transparent and do not "upcharge" you or persuade you into purchasing more service than you actually need. I often purchase my own parts and pay for just labor. They charged me $30/tires, which, $30 is their minimum charge for labor. All four tires cost me $120. I went back there to have my tires looked again because my tire pressure light came on. They found a small nail in my tire. They patched it up and charged me $30 for it. I took my wife's car in because she had the same issue, the tire pressure light came on. They found two small nails in there, patched it up, paid $30 and be on my way. They would drop their current project and work on your car while you wait. If it's a minor thing, they would fix it right away. If it's a major issue, they you might have to leave your car there. I haven't had any issues with them since I first bought my car in. I would definitely recommend them if you need a minor fix up or something checked.

Okay, truth be told, I never actually brought my car in. I called them because my check engine…read morelight on my 1991 Mercedes 420SEL was on. I needed to get it looked at because it was due for Smog. I talked to a guy named Eddie to see if they could take a look. Mind you, I called 2 other places and they told me they don't work on cars that old. Eddie said he'd decode the check engine light for me. Apparently there's no OBD port on this car, so decoding the check engine light is not as easy as plugging in a tool, or so I was told. Long story short, he said if I was only concerned about passing Smog, I should try disconnecting the battery to clear the check engine light, then just bring it to Smog Check Center to see if it passes. Lo and behold the car PASSED! Next time I actually do need service for this car, I'm definitely bringing it in to Eddie and European Motor Werks. 5 stars for giving me some free, useful, advice and saving me a ton of time.
