My review is not for service, it's for the great and kind people that own and work at this business. I have to say that I've been going through a lot lately and my faith in the kindness of this world sometimes wavers although I do my best to be kind to others. It's people like the ones at G&M Auto Body that restore my faith in humanity. I ended up stuck right across the street from them (in the middles of the road) right after work on my way to get gas not realizing how low I was and the car stopped. Dave (I found his name out later because I went back to thank them again) came out and asked if he could help push my car to the side and I thanked him very much and asked him If he could please help me. He went and got 3 more Men to help push me but the car wouldn't go into neutral, it ended up starting back up and I though I could make it to the gas station (1 1/2 blocks away at that point.) I told them I would try and got half a block before it turned off again. Miguel came back out after seeing me still there with a gas can and took my card and walked to and from the gas station for me bought gas for me and put it in as well. In the middle of the street! While I was parked there and before they helped me people were pulling up on me with my hazard lights beeping their horns and driving around me looking at me angrily and I was feeling bad because it was one more thing added to my stress in life. I am beyond grateful for their compassion and will be recommending them to anyone I know that needs car repairs etc. I'm even going to post their card at my job for my coworker. A big thank you to Dave & crew at G & M. I discovered them when they took care of the damage to my mom's 1989 Toyota. Her car was pristine and they were able to find parts needed to repair her vehicle. After that I've stopped by for minor issues on my vehicles. Today, they completed a repair on my SUV which was run into while parked. That vehicle is a 2002 model, and Dave was able to locate the part that the dealer no longer carries. Excellent quality work and value for the front left side on the hood dent repair and paint job on our Porsche Macan. Dave and the staff are friendly and helpful! It took 4-1/2 days to finish but we would rather them take the time to do a great job than rush the repair work. My 1987 Honda CRX was stolen at the height of lockdown and almost completely destroyed, Driver side collision with damaged A Pillar beam. Front wheel, fender and door were all destroyed. G&M was recommended by our long-time mechanic at Precision Auto in San Bruno. Originally, I brought the car in for a frame pull and to assess the damage and determine if the car was worth keeping. Thankfully Mark was very supportive and was confident the work could be done to restore the car to 100%. The story is quite a long one of a year waiting on parts and timing, but at the end of it Mark and the crew at G&M really pulled off a miracle! The frame is now 100%, with even rust damage being completely restored. He was able to line up the aftermarket fenders and new door to near perfection (see pics). This car DROVE home! I can't express how grateful I am to G&M for their patience and expertise, and absolute amazing craftsmanship. Big shout out to Mark for his updates and patience with this crazy project. I will definitely be returning after DMV re-registering is completed to do a factory paint job. read more

I didn't end up using g & m because AAA deemed my car totaled, but if I HAD used them I know they would have taken amazing care of me and my baby. My cousin recommended Mark to me after I was side swiped by a ford 250. I was in my Lexus RX 300 and luckily my big girl car kept me safe but sadly she got super damaged from nose to tail. I didn't think she was in such bad shape, she was still driveable but had that scar. I called to make an appointment and spoke with a woman there, Alon I think her name is.... and apologizes if it's spelled totally wrong. But Alon's compassion, patience and kindness helped the entire time through this situation. I've never gotten in a car accident my entire 31 years being alive so I was so overwhelmed. My insurance wasn't helpful who I initially filled the claim with, and finally when the other drivers insurance contacted me they were more responsive but still not as great as Alon. Though I wasn't able to work with Mark, Alon and the other people at G&M I know just through their patience, kindness and diligence that they would have done a spectacular job on my car. I know that if I have any body issue in the future that I will absolutely 100% come to them, regardless if insurance is involved or not! read more

I needed to get a water link fixed. They kept putting me off on getting it fix. I have been there 4 or 5 time and kept telling me that they could not take my car. Had work done thru these guys when I was in a accident. The other party was at fault so AAA paid for everything. They fixed the damage from the accident but when they returned my car the radio needed to be reprogrammed and my remote to unlock and lock my doors stopped working. AAA ended up paying for the remote but my whole experience tells me that I would NOT trust these guys to fix my car with my own money. I'm kinda regretting having them fix it with triple A paying. I just don't feel they are as trustworthy as I like. read more

Great experience. AAA called the shop and Ylan followed up with me within the hour. Brought the car next day, body work began the day after, and 7 business days/$2500 later, I picked it up - washed, waxed, cleaned, everything. Would give it no stars if I could. Came here to get my 6 month old NEW car fixed a few months ago. It came back destroyed!!! Here is the list of of destruction done: 1. Panels were not snapped on properly and were no longer aligned with the car. 2. Windshield trimming was not fitted and just slapped on and it was pointed out to us when we had the windshield replaced recently. Explains why the car was so loud even with all the windows closed. 3. Paint on the car came back grainy like sans was thrown onto in when the pain was wet. 4. Plastic trimming on all the doors were not completely glued on and needs to be pushed back in place. 5. Entire car had scratched all over the edge on the panels. Appears like when the panels were removed they were pushed around on the ground. 6. My engine idle feature doesn't work anymore. 7. Panels doesn't seem to align anymore since the smooth lines are no longer smooth. This is just a list of the visual things I can see. I am scared to see what is hidden that I don't see like the shotty way the windshield was put back together. I think this explains why a small pebble hitting my windshield resulted in an instant 2 foot crack. This place is Diamond certified by AAA. Don't let these ratings trick you. read more

I am so grateful that Mark tried his best to get a best discount thru his network for OEM parts, you're awesome Mark, really appreciate your help and great sense of humor! A little story about how great they are; there was some mixup on the repairs that were to be done to my car and it needed to stay an extra day. I only reserve five stars rating for those who exceed expectations. G&M Autobody certainly did when I had my Tesla repair completed in a shorter time than estimated and at a reasonable price. They even washed my car and detailed it when Tesla's own service won't wash customer cars anymore! From the beginning, they were courteous, professional, and straightforward. AAA recommended this body shop to me. Really close to where I Live, so I went and had My Jeep worked on here. I had a piece of steel go thru the front pumper, which I hit on the freeway. They have repaired my 2003 350z and 2009 Prius, the quality of the work is excellent! Actually when the bumper was painted on my Z it looked better them when I bought the car brand new! This is a very positive review, the highest recommendation I can give. I say the following from the bottom of my heart. I needed some auto body repair work done back in November. I brought it in and was made to feel very much at home. I have lived in San Bruno for 20 years and these guys have been here much longer. I was tempted to give my business right there and then. But my practical wife intervened and insisted I take the car into another auto body shop for a quote to see if we could save money. The quote came in a few hundred dollars higher (approximately $1000 to approximately $1300). G&M also said they could do the work faster. This time, with an informed choice, we went back to G&M. The car was delivered on time. The service was sensational. I was so so impressed. People are quick to complain. But when things go right, someone needs to tell the world the good news too. Today, that is me, putting the word out for G&M. I wasn't the biggest spender of all time. There was nothing remarkable about my situation. I doubt they would remember me and why should they? My bumper was hit in a shopping mall parking lot three months ago, and I was putting off dealing with the hassle of getting it repaired. A friend told me about G & M Auto Body, and I decided to bite the bullet and get it fixed. I dropped off my Acura MDX, fully intending on washing it beforehand (it was really dirty!). The shop was conveniently located off of the 101 in San Mateo, and the office was clean and inviting. G & M took care of everything for me. From dealing with the insurance company - to bringing my car back to better than original condition. They even cleaned my car better than the neighborhood car wash would have! What was especially appreciated were the little touches - like fixing some body trim that was coming loose, and pointing out that I should have my brakes looked at.
