Several minutes later, an explosion occurred which blew the glass window to fragments and flung parts of the metal frame eight feet into the living room. It was a mess. I called again and they came to investigate and clean up the debris. I don't know what caused the explosion and they didn't either. The reason I'm giving a one-star review was because of the promise they would research vendors for spare parts for repairs. They never made contact with me again.

His sound advice indeed resolved the issue! Not many places would take the time to offer up some suggestions and would instead go right to scheduling a service call. This type of experience should tell you a lot about Mad Hatter Chimney Sweeps -- not only were they very responsive back -- but they also operate a very ethical business that is not out to, may I say, screw you and maximize a sale. He said I could get some "illegals" to come and work on it for $1000 but they wouldn't be insured, blah blah blah. I had a friend who does professional brick work throughout the valley then come to give me a quote and he said my chimney was one of the best he's seen and that I definitely didn't need any work done on it right away. He said this was a classic case of a company seeing dollar signs and just wanting to up-sell.

Before calling Tingey we had tried to work with half a dozen other companies who would either not call us back, or would come out and charge us for their opinions but not finish the work. Jared was always so prompt, professional, and informative when I worked with him to get our plumbing fixed. Not only did he call me back when he said he would, he would also follow up quickly if any of the times changed for the team to come out (which they only did once by 30 minutes). Jordan spent a whole day at our house fixing our septic issue and during these crazy times of COVID he made sure to wear a mask, gloves, and sanitize everything thoroughly. He went above and beyond by noticing issues with our water heater as well as helped to diagnose other issues he came upon that were not even connected to the original problem without charge. I can't thank Tingey enough for helping us out in a time when we really needed it and being so prompt.
