We were able to help ourselves to some delicious chips and salsa while we waited for our food. The chips and salsa were not spicy and absolutely delicious. The Old Fashioned and Margarita were amazing. The steak taco was really good. The carnitas taco was pretty good. The shrimp taco was amazing and a definite reorder next time. Overall, I'd give this place a 3/5 stars for the course, but they lost a star for the service -- when I called to make a tee time and the pro shop put me on hold and forgot about me (I waited on the phone for 15 minutes before hanging up).

Today I learned about the history, style, lore, importance of the beoseon. I had no idea! After the lesson (lectured in Korean and English), we had the opportunity to practice writing Korean on our beoseon with our black calligraphy pens and cutting out the shape of the beoseon. We then transitioned to sewing our beoseon pattern pouch. I learned that the pouch is significant because it stores the pattern from which your beoseons are made. For example, in olden days, part of a bride's preparation was to make 100 beoseons and bring them to her new family's home. Typically, she would gift each adult in that household 10 beoseons each. Today's experience made me once again appreciate my Korean heritage and fanned a desire in me to learn more. I look forward to more education and making of memories at this fine institution and program. (Note, I was ambitious today. I took back to back classes. The 2nd class was about the ear-shaped pouch. It is a simple but elegant, traditional, and practical pouch to carry money, ID, tobacco, etc.). Two thumbs way up for both classes today. The lecturer was top notch and passionate about her topic, and the staff on site were all welcoming and helpful. Today I witnessed an individual threatening multiple people even left blood on the partition slugging it at the mobil station in Littlerock clearly intoxicated he was never sobriety checked and allowed to just ride off on his motorcycle nearly crashing into a car parked at a pump in front 4 deputies. This agency is flawed and needs serious reform. When the store clerk and a reporting witness spoke to sheriff dispatch to describe what was happening the response was "that's everybody in Palmdale". Guarantee you the citizens of Stevenson Ranch don't experience this type degradation or indifference. Multiple times while both attending and serving on a local town council our resident deputy has stated nobody wants to work up here, I disagree deployment should be administered by the county supervisor period. Deployments favor the wealthy and are unfavorably tilted we don't need over staffing in low crime areas.

When people think about NASA, they tend to lean towards the space aspect fo the agency, but at its core the first "A" stands for Aeronautics. NASA has been at the forefront of everything aviation since its earliest incarnation (NACA). From research into basic flight to the exotic, it drives innovation that we the public may never see but experience every time we fly. The center is involved in many ongoing projects such as the Lockheed Martin X-56, X-57 Maxwell, X-59 QueSST etc. They also as other reviews noted the home for SOFIA. SOFIA is a heavily modified 747 SP that houses a huge airborne telescope. This way it avoids all of the moisture int he atmosphere and get better images. While we may never know the impact of these projects, its history is staggering The Bell X-1: The first supersonic aircraft that Chuck Yeager rode into immortality , NB-52B aka Balls 8 (see my separate review) the mothership of the jet age. Dropped so many experimental craft its legendary. The F-15B ACTIVE and just about every X Plane ever made. I could go on for hours. The portion of the center on Edwards AFB is generally off limits unless you have actual business on the base and there does not appear to be any tours of the Plant 42 location. However, the plane spotting in the area is fantastic and if you are lucky you can catch many of the aircraft conducting flight operations.

It is possible move about the multiple trails at your own pace self guided, or join tours (when offered) to learn about the Plants, Birds, Geology, and Art. Clearly she was side tracked but what was weird is when we returned, to tell her about the money, her bf (who she was on phone with) had shown up and some of his friends to hang while she worked. But we have to pay to watch our kids?? but this young girl working can have her bf show up and his friends all while not doing the best job while handling money?!!! Since she said she wasn't sure and didn't remember I took it as a loss. Only 3 adults and 4 toddlers 5 and under. I should've gotten $79 back but got $29. I didn't think to check because I was tending to my kids and when I saw the $20 on the outside of my change, I just expected the rest would be in the cash I got back but basically I lost out on $79 all because she was preoccupied. One more thing, please add covering over entire parking lot. In OC we have coverings over all parking but it's hotter In Palmdale so I'd say cover accordingly.
