Called for an appointment on Thursday and Friday morning the chimney guy was at the apt ready to do his job. It took him about an hour for cleaning and inspection and he told me that the fireplace was not used much in the past and it just needed a good cleaning and lookover . Rate was reasonable and the advice he gave me for proper maintenance and care was very useful ..Was thinking about having the fireplace sealed up so I wouldn't have to deal with it anymore when the new tenant moves it but the chimney guy told me , it would be a shame to not have a fireplace especially during the winter time and a fireplace in a condo apt is rare and very cool , so fireplace stays put . We were only alerted about it from our oil company during routine seasonal maintenance. Steve and his crew were very nice and informed us of many things we didn't know about. For example we didn't know that a cap on the chimney of an oil system is not needed, the cap is used for gas system chimney. Steve was honest and clear, the cost and the information was very valuable to us. I would highly recommend them.
