Converting our wood burning fireplace to gas without having to loose our 140 year old mantel was a project sitting on my list for about a year and had I not found NYC Fireplaces I don't think it would have ever have happened. From the start their team was responsive, knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with. They also helped me navigate all of the steps needed before they could install anything like confirming the flue was pulling properly and making sure the gas line was installed in the correct location. Even when it seemed we hit a wall with the gas line I was able to conference in Luca from NYC Fireplaces with the plumbers to find a solution. The selection of gas log sets is great, the finished product looks fantastic, the people are a pleasure to work with not to mention that the pricing is very reasonable. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone. Next up, perhaps a fire pit in the backyard if I can get my wife onboard with the idea!

Time to update my review for Home Depot…read more What I like about this particular Home Depot is that it has a huge parking lot and close to many of the stores and eateries here. Walking in can be overwhelming. Trying to figure out where to find the items you want to purchase. Was shopping for a light bulb to replace the one in the fridge. Had to ask staff which aisle to find the light bulbs. Staff knew exactly which aisle and how to get to the aisle. It's like a going through a maze here. LOL. Felt like a Seinfeld episode-trying to find car in parking lot. It's just searching for a light bulb replacement for the fridge. Oy Vey! I need help. Luckily, I found a staff member (Look for staff with a Home Depot apron) with a name tag of Pablo. He was so helpful. He showed me where the appliance lightbulb exact location. Oh No! which color bulbs to select? Frosted/soft white to clear and even one that is yellow color bulb. I want to raid the fridge at 2 AM with no bright lights glaring at me. Pablo went over the different types and when to use. Selected the Soft White LED and headed to check out. Just follow the crowd and look for signs to check out. There was a long line at the checkout area. Staff directing customers to a self-out screen. It's all self-checkout counters. It can be pretty overwhelming trying to locate items here at Home Depot. Yes, one can spend a chunk of time going through the aisle. Tip- Flag down a staff with a Home Depot apron for assistance.

I come here the most , not because it's the best Home Depot but because it's the closest to home…read more It has a easy to get to parking lot. There's also some food options around the area and a Trader Joes. That's going to end now after a recent horror experience. I ordered multiple LED light fixtures for pick up the next day. I came into the store and they had it all packed in the shopping cart. I checked my list to make sure all were in the cart and I went to load them into my car. As I grabbed the boxes I noticed 2 of the same lights weighed differently as I picked them up. I shook the lighter one and it was empty, just a cardboard box. I immediately went back inside and showed them. They went to speak to the associate who packed it and he obviously said it wasnt empty when he put the order together. They told me there's nothing they can do. I'm standing there baffled by what they are telling me, and clearly they are indirectly calling me a thief and a liar. I beg them to check my car and security cams. They did neither of those and said they will look into it and call me back if they find anything. I honestly should've made a big scene at the store but I already had a long and rough week. This was adding to my run of bad luck. I was ready to take a big L and lose out on $30 for the missing light. Luckily online support is more competent and might I say shown more customer support than the employees at this branch. They were able to refund me for the missing light. Terrible experience here and I don't think I can ever step foot back here as I have zero confidence that they will work with me if any problems occur with my future orders and purchases. Also, I never received a call from the store. Maybe even an apology would be nice.

Like many others have mentioned, I would advise not to do business with this Company. Here is my…read morestory. I called this morning at 9:30 AM and left a message that I was interested in a gas fireplace insert. Since I did not hear back for a couple of hours (which itself was a bad sign), I decided to visit the showroom. My mistake. When I arrived, the door was locked so I rang the doorbell which looked to have an intercom and a buzzer which would allow the door to be unlocked from inside or have someone say they were coming to let me in. I waited for a couple of minutes but I did not get a response. I rang again and again didn't get a response. I tried to open the door thinking the buzzer might be broken but that the door might have been unlocked. I looked at the signs and confirmed that the showroom was supposed to be open. At this point, I was thinking that I drove 20 minutes to the showroom only to find it was closed. After waiting for another couple of minutes, I tried ringing a third time. I thought I might have heard the intercom or the buzzer so I tried to open the door. All of a sudden, the door flew open and I was confronted by what can only be described as a deranged man with a face contorted by anger. He got up in my face yelling at me to "stop shaking my door." Before I could even get out a single word explaining to him that I had been waiting for 5 minutes and was a customer just trying to visit his showroom, he screamed at me to "get the f/k outta here." I actually thought he might get violent. The entire episode lasted for less than a minute. He actually did me a favor by yelling me at to leave. If you are reading this, you too should listen to him and never enter the store. After reading some of the online reviews, I'm assuming this person is Victor, who has been variously described as unreasonable, obnoxious, condescending and rude. I can only add that the person that confronted me was an angry, miserable person with psychological issues. I can't imagine the headaches someone would have if they did purchase anything from this Company and had to deal with this person.

I chose a multi tier adjustable gas flame product with remote control, and the price quoted for the entire unit and installation was extremely competitive. The installation was completed speedily and efficiently by an experienced professional and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Things are different now, a number of popular eateries are practically neighbors, a brand new luxury apartment building came just last year, and the gentrification of this area is seeing more and more residents flocking here every week. One thing noticeable right away is how big this building is. Most places in the neighborhood rely exclusively on street parking, but this PC Richard & Son has its own spacious parking lot. If people aren't parking, then they're walking from the train station, which is only a couple of blocks away. Inside there are a number of eager associates that are interested in helping anyone and everyone (#2) find what they need. Having dropped by for random things from microwaves to AC units to cords, I've always been approached by someone new practically every time. It might feel somewhat overwhelming for new patrons, but I've come to expect this sort of stuff. Unfortunately, the biggest plight that this location faces is usually the location. Not all the associates are going to be patient and informative, some feel like they're rushing folks without paying much attention to their needs. Prices are on par with appliance / furniture store, so things can go into $$$$ territory real quick. There are deals practically every season and a ton of promotion during their slow months. I always recommend price checking over the phone and calling ahead of time to confirm inventory. ___________ (#1) And at night, it was Dreams and it's many predecessors. (#2) Because ... commission?
