We moved into a home with 3 gas fireplaces so on occasion we need service. A contractor working on our home turned off the gas in our den fireplace. I knew how to restart my other two fireplaces, but the den unit was electronic. The service fee was $295 which seemed outrageous but let me continue. The tech, Geraldo (Jerry) came in. He wore booties from the front door to my interior. He laid out a quilted drop cloth and began the process of starting my fireplace. After getting the fireplace running, he shut it down and carefully removed the glass panel, disassembled the decorative logs, vacuumed with a filtered shop vac, then windexed the glass before reassembling the unit. At every turn, Jerry was precise and took incredible pride in his work. I had questions about operating the remote which he expertly explained. I asked how much training he received and he explained it was extensive. I absolutely marveled at how good the service call was. I hope the company realizes how good Jerry is and wish all my service experiences in life were similar.

I called Andy to get roller shades installed to block some of the sun out, but still let in some light. He was super patient explaining to me which kinds of shades let in how much light and helped me decide which ones would work best where. They were also really accommodating with setting up out install since our hours run late and we couldn't install shades during working hours. Right before the guys come to install the carpet, I ask them again, they measure my door and said yes the carpet will fit under the door! But when they are done with the work, my door is very hard to be close! Because the carpet is too thick! I call the office the next day and mention about the problem! They told me "the solution is to order a thiner carpet but since you already have it install, you will have to cut the end of your door!" Yep! The next problem is when me and my 3 young kids step at the edge of the carpet that is connected to the kitchen and bathroom, we often step into something pointy, at first we though it was some Lego piece or small piece of garbage! Until last night my son step on it again and hurt his foot! My husband look into the carpet carefully and find out more than 10 nails sticking out of the carpet! This time I email them about the problem and attached the photo! They reply to me this: "Well, the nails are supposed to be able to puncture the backing of the carpet in order to really hold it in place, so it'll stick out a little bit. If you want, you can hammer them down, but then I can't guarantee that the carpet will still be in place after a short time." I was very upset! I told him I have 3 little kids living in the house! And he reply this: "I understand your frustration. This is the first time someone has complained about the carpet. If my schedule isn't too busy I can send my installers to check and try to fix the problem, but I would have to charge $150. It has been more than 30 days since the carpet has been installed so I wouldn't be able to consider it under any warranty. As far as the doors go, it should have been high enough to close smoothly, but seeing how it isn't now, the only solutions are to replace the carpet or cut the doors, which we don't do as stated in the invoice you signed." I was very disappointed at the way they solve the problem with me! Basically is do it my self or paid for them to come fix it! I also research online about this problem, they said is common that the nails will come out! But is uncommon to put the trackless strips on a very traffic area! Yes! They put trackless strips at my entryway from the front door, in front of the bathroom and entry for the kitchen! And all of those area is where people step on the most! I can not believe the carpet guy who came to install my carpet have over 20 years of experience and still make those mistakes! John designed our state-of-the-art modern kitchen that showcased a gorgeous and prominent metallic gold hood that took center stage. Under the hood sits a flush-mount induction cooktop that provides an easy-to-clean cooking surface that is seamless. On each side of the hood, we selected appliances, with the help of Anthony, that complemented the modern space symmetrically. Based on the square footage of the kitchen, we not only had 2 islands but also a separate pantry for storage that had its own sink, second dishwasher, and another rubbish/compost disposal system. The refrigerator and freezer columns are adjacent to the motorized overhead cabinet doors. These cabinets are a very convenient location for our stemware and glassware. Under both islands, we have additional storage cabinets and if that wasn't enough, we have storage that goes up to our ten feet ceilings. We also chose to have integrated lights under the overhead cabinets and dimmable lights with sensors integrated in the drawers. Sean and Ajirth at Showcase Kitchens were both meticulous with the renovation. Sean came after framing of the kitchen space was completed to take accurate and precise measurements. It was at this first on-site visit by Showcase Kitchens that he found that our existing ceiling did not come out far enough to align with the cabinets. John and Ajirth worked on revising the design, which worked out better than the preliminary design. We were very thankful that Sean caught this when he was on-site. He was assigned our project manager and was very responsive and always in contact with us as well as the manufacturer. His coordination seemed effortless even with the language barrier and time zone difference. He assured us that every component of the kitchen was boxed, loaded into a container from Italy and made their way on the ship to NJ, inspected by customs before being unloaded onto a truck for the warehouse and then ultimately to our home. He was very helpful with providing the manifest and plans to confirm that we received our entire order without any hiccups. Sean also came back after the kitchen installation bearing additional accessories and saw the areas that needed adjustments by their specialist for this brand of kitchen cabinetry. He coordinated the work and the specialist came to make the final adjustments. Ajirth came prior and after the kitchen installation to ensure that a Showcase Kitchens representative was available throughout the process. He provided vital information to our fabulous GC (also referred by John) crew and his insight on the product line was instrumental to the design and install. We can't say enough about the services that Showcase Kitchens provided. They are top-notch and work tirelessly for their clients. The manufacturers they work with make exceptionally high quality products that will last for decades. Thank you for making our dream kitchen. Note to the scope of work: We were not only renovating our kitchen but also other areas of the house and the designer we worked with recommended Showcase Kitchens. We are so grateful she did. And we couldn't have achieved the results of our entire renovation without the GC that John recommended.
