Great customer service is truly caring about your customers. We ordered a woodstove and pipes for the chimney. I was working with a sales person. She gave us a lead time for the pipe install. That day came and went, but no one called to say they would be late by over two months. We had to call them. Then we were told the stove & piping would come together and be installed together...again the pipe guy came out without the stove. He installed the pipe and it was over twice the cost we were told it might be ($2900 more), but he did do a great job. When we called about when the stove will arrive they didn't know and said they would call us back. Days came and went... Finally our sales lady called us back and said it might be in a few months. When we complained that no one let us know and why no one told us? she said other people are much more understanding and we were basically bad and not nice customers! Then she laughed at our house situation.. so the pipe guy must have told talked to her behind our backs! She cared little that we really needed the stove for heat and we are now at the end of December...SO If you don't care about Honesty, Integrity, or when your stove will arrive or how much it will really cost- then this place it for you. But if your interested in a sales team that really cares about you then I would go elsewhere. It's not about the break in the supply chain...it's about a break in the sales team that should be communicating with their customers. When your spending over 10K for a product then the sales team needs to really up their game and get proper sales training.. not snub & belittle their customers. read more

I'm very happy with my purchase of a Harman pellet stove through Chimney Sweep. It was a bit pricey, but the stoves are top of the line, longer lasting, with built-in features around safety issues. The saleslady was thorough and patient, even with my pickiness about the hearthstone color. I also liked that they were up front and communicative, especially about the wait time (as the products are in high demand). I'm not a texter and also got a prompt reply to email with questions. Someone came out to the house in good time to take measurements based on the odd structure of the historic house. Although his assistant was very cordial and friendly, I would have given 5 stars if the young man had been less bossy, which I did not appreciate, particularly in my own home. (I'm guessing he would've been less curt to a male customer.) To be fair, he is an outside hire, not directly employed by Chimney Sweep, so that doesn't reflect on them as much. I have been dealing with Chimney Sweep for about 30 years. Today I picked up a hearthstone craftbury. They made sure I had all the parts that I would need also went over installation of the stove and piping. When they brought the stove to my truck they checked over the stove making sure it was in good shape. They even helped me tie it down. For me this place is out of my way considering I have places in my neighborhood which I could have purchased the same but this place goes out of its way to assure the customers are happy. read more

There cheaper, more knowledgeable and 800x more pleasant to deal with. They also will spend the time it takes to help you with tech support. I was dealing with a coal and pellet co. that also sold stoves,heating equipment and many other items. The first stove I bought which included installation ruined my hardwood floor as a backboard was used as a floor stand for the stove. Other damages was also incurred that devalued my home. Later I decided to switch to a pellet stove. With in three weeks the motor went and I had no heat. I inquired if the motor had a guarantee and they said no.A new motor 3 weeks old, hardly used and no guarantee so I was stuck buying another motor. When they installed the stove they drilled a hole through my wall for a stove pipe that was short and just stuck through the hole only a few inches. I soon discovered the entire side of my house changed color from the exhaust and it took me forever to clean the side of my house and that's not all. I decided to go back to coal and as the stove was removed I discovered they had drilled right through a support beam. Is that all,not quite.I was refused a shipment of coal that heap had paid for. My house was cold and I begged for fuel as my house became just about uninhabitable.So my wife went to heap and heap started an investigation, but in the meantime my family was suffering the consequences.finally heap came through to the rescue.Thanks to a great program that's much appreciated.they gave us a list of companies but told us we have a Company in Middletown I believe you will be very satisfied with. I said Middletown is out of the question, too far to travel.But l eventually decided to make the trip. I started thinking, I hope this works traveling this far.As I entered the door at Chimney Sweep Energy Corp. I was made to feel right at home, the hospitality was unbelievable. Immediately they welcomed us to Chimney Sweep and started a conversation. I was told how to go about installing the gasket.the gasket was given to me along with the cement and because of the times we were going through there was no charge.We were told if ever you need fuel and we are closed come on down anyway and you will be serviced.I inquired about a future stove and they ran me through the procedure of installing a new stove. I was totally amazed at the professionalism of their work what you can expect and also the fact that they care about you as a valued customer. It kind of reminded me of Conrad Hilton of how he started with a small store,who survived the depression and eventually bought the Waldorf Astoria. They saw a little old lady walking up the hill and his father said to his son Conrad she is yours and she drives a hard bargain, but remember we have to have a good deal to survive but she deserves a good deal also.At the end of the deal they were both happy and at Chimney Sweep Energy Corp.they seem to have the same business philosophy and will do everything to ensure that you will not walk away dissatisfied .When heap told us about Chimney Sweep l didn't realize it then but it's one of the best trips I ever made.Finally we met people who are trying to make a differences and upholds and brings back the times when America had virtures and values and I know at Chimney Sweep they uphold these values for all their customer.one day I bought a rickety old rusted stove pipe with more holes then Swiss cheese.Chimney Sweep told me we have just the right thing for you and your problems should be greatly reduced.When they showed me the pipe I couldn't believe what I was getting heavy duty and of proffessional quality.Again like Conrad's father said you deserve a good deal.All I can say I will never regret the day I walked through their doors and met the professionals at Chimneys Sweep and I just know their moto is all about you.All right have I talked enough not quite as I jumped into my car the lady I guess she is the owner was walking from the show room to her house and as she passed my car I noticed she put her hand to her mouth and blew us a kiss for my family. GREAT EXPERIENCE!! I have been a customer of this business for many years and I am very pleased with them and have even recommended them to family and friends. (Interesting that the review below is from Stamford, CT. I know for a fact that Chimney Sweep and their installers do not go that far away from their location. I am guessing it is a fake review.) I bought a Jotul fireplace insert from them and had it installed. I barely use any oil to heat my home and I am always so warm and comfortable. It was installed with a liner which was expensive, but worth it. A friend of mine had another company install his insert because it was cheaper and it turned out that the liner the other company used was indeed, cheap and it fell apart! He had Chimney Sweep and their installers redo the bad job the other company did and they wish they went with Chimney Sweep in the first place. It is a family business and the folks there seem to really care and enjoy helping people which is hard to find this day and age. read more

I already knew the model I wanted - Ariens Deluxe 28+. I ordered over the phone, paid with credit card, and it was delivered to my door at 1130am. I went to this establishment looking to purchase an insert for my fireplace and looked at units around the 6k range. The salesperson was condescending and inpatient with us and a total turn off. We have a home about 40 minutes from their location and we were told that we could send the measurements to them because they could not come to our house and measure. The salesperson greeted us with "who needs service here". No hello, how may I help you? The rest of the staff had an equally dismissive attitude. We were respectful waited our turn and listened intently to what our potential salesperson was sharing with us but in the end, he was not interested in us as customers. We are going with another company Northstar. The moment we went into the store they were polite and friendly and did not make us feel like they were "othering" us. The other company is coming to measure for a $300 fee something that is reasonable and expected. Chimney Sweep needs to sweep its customer service or maybe they just don't need business. read more

My ariens 28" deluxe snowblower ws showing signs of wear.. hardly moved forward at all, and very slowly at that .. clearly the friction wheel was worn to the point of imminent failure. I am that the type who will undertake repairs to my equipment whenever I can .. youtube is a great resource for how-tos... after viewing a really well thought out and clear one for replacing the drive belt and importantly, the drive disk, I determined it was a bigger project than I had the time or inclination to tackle. I had noticed a few months ago that Chimney Sweep is an ariens dealer when I was there on other business so I stopped in. They couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and accomodating They had John pick up my snowblower the next day (they offered to pick it up the day I stopped in but I needed it for a predicted snowstorm the next day so I asked them to come the day after it, the storm arrived and I called and they picked it up that afternoon after I had used it for the storm, a day sooner than scheduled) Brad called me the next day and told me he had the machine apart, the disk was all but down to the metal and the belt probably should be replaced as well. I authorized the job over the phone. I stopped in the the next day and spoke briefly with Brad, who had done the work, and he told me it was done. I made arrangement or it's return. It was delivered later that day... tried it out before I put it back into the garage .. was all cleaned up, lubed, adjusted and when put into drive had more power and speed than I recalled. Perfect job and outstanding service... when the day comes for another service and hopefully further down the road when I need a new machine, no question , Chimney Sweep will be my first choice . read more

Chimney sweep is one of the best dealers I have every dealt with. We bought both a wood burning stove and a pellet stove and were very pleased with both. Our recent purchase of the pellet stove has saved us a lot of money and their assistance in buying one was excellent. They take as much time as you need and answer all questions and concerns. I know people that have bought other stoves only a year ago and they are already falling apart. We have owned our stove for 3 years now and it still looks brand new. I would also not buy pellets from any place else because they sell a very good grade of pellets. My son has bought them from other place cheaper and they seem to just burn right up. I would recommend that anyone who is interested in buying any type of stove go to them first. I definitely would give them an A-1 rating. read more

They are very knowledgeable about their products and they seem to have it all. From wood or pellet stoves to the accessories. They also have snow blowers and lawn equipment. You name it. Last winter was snowed in for 3 days waiting for the plow guy to show up. Decided I didn't want to rely on someone else to clear my driveway. Went in to Chimney Sweep in Circleville for a snowblower... got the biggest one I could get, a 32" Ariens for my 400-500 foot driveway. Worker named Brad delivered and took a lot of time to show me how to use the thing. Very patient fellow, probably answered the same questions at least 10 times. That was at the end of last winter. Came time that I actually had to use it- 2 times this week- because of all the drifting snow. Had to look over the manual on how to start it up again, but did my whole driveway in a bit under hour, not bad. Had a couple technical questions and so went in to CS twice this week, spoke to both Josef and John at different times. Both were very friendly and took the time to talk to me, even though there were a lot of people there probably buying things. Josef even took me out back to show me something on one of their demo models. I will be bringing my blower there for service because I like that these guys have taken the time to answer my questions. So glad I bought this, feel a sense of freedom that I don't have to rely on someone to plow me out anymore. one of the worst customer service experiences ever! Avoid these people at all cost, they do not care about their customers one bit and their attitude shows it. I had bought some black stove pipe from them about 6 months ago and they were very unhelpful and unwilling to answer any questions. Even after that experience, I went back to them because they do carry high quality merchandise and I was giving them the benefit of the doubt, hoping that salesperson was just having a bad day. So I went back. When I asked for my item, I was brought a used piece with the wrapping all crumpled up, obviously repackaged to try and resell it. I asked for one that hadn't been used, was brought another item of correct size but different description/nomenclature on the label, so I asked what the difference was and the salesman couldn't answer me! He subsequently brought me another item of correct size but again an altogether different description on the label. I pointed out that they were all labeled differently and wanted to know exactly what the difference was and he asks me "Why do you want to know?'!!! on what planet is that good customer service? Are you kidding me??? to top it all off, I was charged for a different item altogether, triple the cost of what they gave me and if I hadn't known the cost of what I needed beforehand I would have overpaid and no one at this establishment would have said anything. Stay away. If you do find yourself there, don't trust them, do your homework beforehand. Know exactly what you need and how much it should cost because these people certainly DO NOT know their product and they have the worst customer service I've ever encountered in my life. read more
