Been to see Dr Lai about 6 months ago for a siatic nerve on one of my legs. it was causing a lot of pain that I had to stop after about 20 minutes in any activity. In one visit she stopped the problem. Recently I visited her for a numbness in both my feet that happens every evening. The numbness was almost completely gone again in one visit. Quite unbelievable but 2 for 2 is a good score. You may not be so lucky but I surely would recommend her. She also accepts some insurance which is a bonus. read more

I regret to say that this place is a scam. The positive reviews are likely fake. My insurance confirmed that Dr. Li Li Lan is in my network. My insurance also outlined how payment for in-network treatments/payments specific to acupuncture work (I pay a co-pay each visit, that's it). When I arrived for my first appointment Dr. Li Li Lan it became abundantly clear, almost right away, that she was unhappy that I had insurance and wanted me to pay for everything up-front and out of pocket (there are signs all around the entry that say they give discounts for cash patients). Over the course of half an hour Dr. Lan changed her story several times about how payment for my treatment would work. FIRST she said she never got a referral, but that they took insurance--only I would have to pay full price out of pocket and work with my insurance to have them reimburse me later. THEN I called my insurance so that they could resend the referral, and when I asked her to confirm the fax number she ran to the back for 5 minutes, and only came back once the front desk phone started ringing. She finally gave me the fax address, to which my insurance confirmed they already sent the referral and had a receipt to prove it. Of course, my insurance resent the referral, and as Dr. Lan and I watched it come through the fax machine, she clearly became agitated. THEN she claimed I was out of network (?) and to perform acupuncture on me through insurance would be insurance fraud (?). Yet, of course, she said she could still treat me, only I had to pay the full amount out of pocket AS IF MY INSURANCE REFERRAL WASN'T IN HER HAND, and AS IF SHE WASN'T IN MY NETWORK. The whole thing was extremely suspect and suspicious. I followed up with my insurance company and filed a complaint--because again, she factually is in my network, and the referral covered all of my treatment minus a co-pay. This was so disappointing. I was really looking forward to getting treatment from here because it is so close to my house. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND putting yourself through the experience of being scammed by this place. To top it all off she wanted to keep my intake forms (that included my SS number) for her "records"--but I'm not even her patient. She hurriedly tried to take the forms with my info on them away from my reach once I started getting up to leave, in a manner that, yet again, added to the whole suspect quality of the whole encounter. read more

I thought she was a great Dr until I go to my second appt and I along with another woman were waiting outside, with the Dr being a no show. In which the lady informed me she has done this several times to her. So I left a message on her answering machine saying I hope everything was ok and to call me so I can make another appt, giving her the benefit of the doubt. Its now been a week later and have yet to receive a call back, apologizing for not showing for my appt nor to schedule another one.
