What can I say about Dr.Tang…read more.. First, to use the parlance of our times...not all hero's wear capes. Let me preface by saying that for the last 13 years I have had a major SI Joint and sacrum issues, which over the years had pushed my hips way out of alignment and for a decade plus, I have endured burning, numbing, shooting, and debilitating chronic pain that on good days is barely tolerable. I've been on every kind of muscle relaxer, pain killer, and a local chiropractor (decompression table, etc) for years. I've had MRI's, surgical consults from UCLA and USC that either wanted to fuse vertebrate or screw the SI joint into the sacrum. I've done trigger point, acupuncture, and applied more imported balms and pain ointments then I can remember. Everything was simply plugging a leaking boat with bubble gum and the pain has impacted my quality of life, my mood, everything. So, after a number of years with a local chiropractor who seemed more concerned with "turning and burning" the number of clients in the office, I knew I had to make a change. I searched local forums and YELP, and I came across Dr. Tang. Now he only has maybe 20 reviews combined between GOOGLE and YELP, so I was a bit hesitant but 100% intrigued, especially as some of the reviews prefaced that this is a tough treatment. What I really respected was that there wasn't any X-ray stuff to evaluate, just a fantastic doctor genuinely listening to his client. Dr.Tang's office is fastidiously clean and a quite business area. He had a framework of my issues per our phone conversations but really let his hands figure out where the problems were that have made my life a living hell for the last 13 years. He knew right away what the major issues were going to be, and he prefaced, as I expected that this was not going to be an enjoyable treatment, but it will be effective. Now for those of you that are looking for a quick neck crack or back pop, Dr. Tang is probably not who you are after. I've done that for years, and paid thousands of dollars for brief relief of pain only to have it return by the time I was sitting in the car. Now if you're someone like me, with a mess of chronic pain issues and structural alignment issues, Dr. Tang is a national treasure. I'm not being hyperbolic here, but this man put my body through the ringer, and I experienced pain that I can honestly say I've never felt before. I'm a pretty tough fella, but there were points where I thought I may pass out from it. Dr. Tang will warn you every step of the way that what he is about to do is going to be unpleasant at best, but for your own good. He had me at hello. Now for those of you with low pain thresholds or let's say, aren't very limber...he will put your body through the most intense, almost transcendent experience of your life, but it's for your own good. After a little over an hour with Dr. Tang, I can honestly say that the chronic pain and SI joint, old German Shepard hip issues I've painfully endured for a decade plus...was oddly, not present. It's been 24 hours since my treatment and for the first time in years, I actually don't feel like absolute crap. So far, no shoot pain, no numbness, burning pain... some sore muscles from the intense pressure, but actual relief. I keep waiting for the return of the pain but so far, I'm actually doing ok. I will see him again in 2 weeks for continued work just to follow up, but this man is absolutely amazing and I can't thank him enough for the most miserable hour of my life

She was down for and excited about any decision that I felt was right for me, my baby, and our birth - which didn't just communicate support but also made me feel empowered and centered in my own choices. My fiancé was pretty skeptical about hiring a doula - his family and friends had all had kids and no one had "needed" a doula - but he ended up SO thankful and grateful that Kristin was by our side. He can't stop singing her praises to anyone who will listen! Kristin was/is so knowledgeable and informative. Anytime there was a turn in the road, we immediately looked to her. She would provide some small education and then give her perspective, ultimately reassuring us that we were in control of what decision we ended up making and what felt most right for us and our birth. She stayed by our side the whole time - I truly don't know what we would have done without her! She took some photos, kept track of timelines, and helped make sure baby latched for the first time. Even postpartum she has been such a life saver. We're able to text her our freak out questions and she responds with the same attentiveness and care as she did before and during birth.
