I must say the food is always fresh even the fruit and salad bar area... my favorite is rice and cabbage and pepper steak... clean establishment with workers nearby to assist as needed ... issue last visit with a female cashier but on today a male cashier assisted and gave great.. great lighting... calm atmosphere... and very roomy with soft music. read more

Run of the mill buffet. It's smaller one but it's also cheaper. They have the usual selections of buffet food, I was surprised that they even had sushi. I liked their lo mein, some places have the spaghetti-esque noodles that I'm not a fan of. They also have the tubs of hard ice cream that you can scoop with a variety of flavors. We stopped by for lunch and it's only $6.99, can't beat that... They have all of the standard Chinese buffet offerings. They have a small sushi section that's nice and fresh but nothing's labeled. At first everything was fine. The food is good and the restaurant was clean, staff was well in attendance clearing the tables. That all changed when a family came in and their youngest wasn't happy and was constantly screaming at very high sharp notes. I thought the Atom would split. They eventually appeased him with a tablet but instead of screaming unhappily, he would scream with glee at what ever he was watching. To add insult to injury the couple behind our booth apparently didn't like each other because they decided to put their phones up so high it was difficult for me to hear the people I was sitting with. So we were forced to listen to phone noise. Wtf is going on in this country? No one has any manners or are they that ignorant? I decided not to mention mine and my tables dissatisfaction because I was afraid of being shot or beat to death in the parking lot. We are up here in Jersey for another few weeks and had planned to go back many times but now knowing the restaurant allows such behavior by patrons we will be going somewhere else. Good choice on a rainy January night drive that ended up unexpectedly nearby. Food was decent but not as large as the usual buffet, which means fresher selection overall, price unbeatable so it was a surefire hit with me. I enjoyed the shrimp dishes especially the spicy one with onions and peppers, the green beans gently quick fried with almonds which I love were prepared very well, I really was surprised how much I liked the butter cabbage too. I seriously cheated on my carb ban at the dessert bar, I had only planned on a taste of the green tea ice cream and butter pecan, but it was so good I wanted to get more. Fresh sliced oranges and really delicious grapes were a nice ending. I'd recommend on a spur of the moment for dinner, I hear the lunch is a great value too. Finally they re-opened! Went for dine-in dinner today on a Tuesday. Price is still very good $11.99. Can't get any better, everywhere else food prices have gone up. Food quality is as good as before COVID. They have steam crabs, fishes, sushi bar to name a few of the dishes. How we missed buffet. Staffs are friendly as usual. Establishment is cleaned and has a well stocked buffet offerings. Service was really quick and attentive with the drinks. Food tasted like average chinese food. The orange chicken was dry , but quite tasty. The dinner menu seems to have more seafood options ( especially the crab ). The spicy shrimp and the clams with bean sauce are to die for. The American portion of the food was meh to below average . Most of it was fried foods. The desserts were also nothing to scream about. The desserts were not fresh and mushy. Can't ask for much better classic Chinese buffet at a Saturday dinner price of $17. There was plenty of food options ranging from standard Americanized Chinese cuisine to more generic options like baked chicken, pork roast, bbq chicken, pizza, and salmon. There's decent sushi and a good dessert selection. I didn't love the other clientele (large families and screaming children) but I'm not sure what could be done about that. Overall, it's a good spot. The place is kind of a hodgepodge of random restaurants that were probably here before this place. Dirty carpets and ripped both seats. The men's bathroom needed a serious cleaning as well. They didn't have a huge selection of foods but what they did have was pretty good, I wouldn't miss it if I could never have it again -- but pretty good. Fried shrimp, fried chicken balls, fried chicken, lo mein, coconut shrimp, peppered chicken etc. Lots of finger foods like fries, pizza, chicken as well. The sushi area was just disappointing though. Don't come here if you want sushi ... 3-4 types of rolls and two of them are California and Philadelphia rolls so they shouldn't even count. The fruit was all fresh and was replenished rather quickly. All in all if the place got a real good cleaning I'd say it was a 3.5 star place. I am baffled and shocked at this restaurant's 3.5 star rating. I am not a picky eater and of course, I don't expect much from a Chinese buffet. However, the food here is below average-- probably worse than the food you would get from a dingy Chinese take-out place. The options of food choices you have are rather underwhelming, and the quality of the food is even more underwhelming. First of all, the Kimchi they offered was mixed with Italian dressing. But why?! I am not really sure as to what type of concoction they were going for, but that's NOT kimchi. Out of the little choices of food offered, the best would probably be their fried chicken. However, it doesn't make sense to come to a Chinese buffet for its fried chicken. The stuffed clams were too soggy, the regular clams were cooked with an unusual sauce that just DID NOT taste good. The list can go on but I'm sure my point has been made already. In terms of the atmosphere of the restaurant, nothing made the environment seem "oriental". They had a total of two paintings hung on the walls-- one with horses frolicking around and one with a random house on a lawn. The lack of decorations were rather depressing and you probably wouldn't be able to tell it was a Chinese restaurant if it wasn't called "China Buffet". Used to go here all the time especially for lunch. I remember when this place was like $5.99 or $6.99 for lunch and around $10 for dinner. The food is good with decent amount of choices but now that the prices have raised so high they are the same price as another place that includes hibachi. Since this location didn't have hibachi I'd rather go a few blocks further and pay the same price for a place that has hibachi. They need to either drop their prices so that they are cheaper than the hibachi buffet or offer other items that other places don't. Many places used to offer snow crab legs but not anymore. Maybe this place should think about doing this since they can't compete with all the other buffets that offer hibachi included. If they offered snow crab legs included in their buffet price they could charge even more than the hibachi places in my opinion!
