I'm just writing an additional review for China Cafe. This place is definitely my go to for Chinese food when in Fayetteville. They have a couple tables for dine in but their takeout is always fast easy and the food is always still hot when I get home. They have an amazing menu with lots to choose from. The main reason I am updating my review is I recently started not being able to eat fried foods or raw vegetables and China Cafe has so many dishes that have very lean meat, cooked vegetables and very good sauce. The Mongolian beef is so delicious. Lean strips of beef, green onion and white onion in a very savory brown sauce. I've also tried their Happy Family which is a mixture of beef, pork, seafood and veggies in a brown sauce. I highly recommend trying this small little joint tucked away in a shopping center. We were greeted warmly. The dining area is a bit small but also rather homey feeling. Which is nice for a strip mall restaurant. It is decorated well and not over bearing. They have a large menu. They have a good sized lunch menu with excellent prices. The dinner prices aren't bad either. Downside. Everything is served in styrofoam except the hot tea. We started with dumplings which were very tasty. The hot and sour soup was delicious. I'm happy with that. We both got the General Tso's. We loved it. We will be back to try other dishes. read more

I am not sure why I was so hesitant to try this place. The food was fantastic. I ordered the Szechuan Beef, Kong Pao Chicken, Shrimp Fried Rice, Egg Rolls & Crab Rangoon - I have to say everything was really good! The Crab Rangoon (cream cheese wontons) were AWESOME . This is my new favorite Chinese Restaurant! Next time I will take pictures - we gobbled everything up before I thought about it. Cannot wait to go back. read more

SO BAD. we were looking for a good cheap chinese restaurant in fayetteville and it was not this place. found a bone in my sweet and sour chicken the rice is so weird no flavor the egg rolls were alright but had a slight soapy taste to them. the chicken was very disturbing and it had a slight pink look to it which was just not pleasant. just don't go here not worth the money. genuinely annoyed and disgusted. read more

The szechuan beef is stupid good. They were very fast. I ordered and then arrived early for carryout thinking I would have to wait a minute, which is fair. They were pretty much ready with it when I walked through the door. It was still hot when I got back and freakin' delicious! The food is good for what you pay for. These are the places where you eat quickly and get out or grab a food and head home. If your wanting the best service in the world and live music this place is not the place but if you want decent to good food to fill your stomachs this is the place to go. It's the best Chinese American in the area. When you order the portions are huge. When I get take out the leftovers last for 3 days. You need to try this place if you like Chinese food. Ordered takeout from here for the first time tonight and will not do so again. Delivery (via doordash) was a-okay, food was some of the worst we've had. We ordered egg drop soup (flavorless and off-texture), garlic broccoli (had other vegetables in it which is unusual, and I literally spit out my first and only bite), curry tofu (tofu texture was okay, sauce was the consistency of paste), crab rangoons (actually cream cheese wontons with very sour sweet-and-sour), side of white rice (edible, we'll use it to make our own fried rice), and plain lo mein (actually good). If plain lo mein is the best thing there...yikes. read more

This is some really great "basic" Chinese food..it would be EXCEPTIONAL but the staff is so rude and unfriendly it's really hard to support this establishment..I only come if one of the kiddos has a craving and we are time constrained. All of Their Fried Rice, Lo Mein, Kung Pao Shrimp/Chicken, Mongolian Beef is really tasty and good portions..it's honestly their complete lack of civility that makes you think twice about buying their food. We have gone here off and on for uears--their customer service NEVER gets any better! This place is just OK. Pros: Clean & fast service. Cons: No Brown Rice!!! The food is marginal, but edible. I've had way better, but this is the best Chinese that I've found so far in Arkansas. My big gripe is that when I asked if they had brown rice, they lied & said yes and when I got home the "brown" rice was merely greasy fried rice. Maybe I'm a bit of a snob, but in today's focus on healthy eating, I find it unacceptable for Asian restaurants not to offer brown rice. It puts the establishment in a lower class for me... This hole in the wall place has some really great Chinese food and some losers. The great stuff is the garlic chicken. Stay away from the sweet and sour stuff. The soup is too salty. The garlic veggies are excellent. Be sure to ask for fried rice or they'll automatically give you white rice. Prices are decent. Service is quick. After a long day of running errands and being new to the area, was craving good Chinese take-out. A quick look at the reviews and location drew us in for a try. While we intended to take it home, the cleanliness and cute decor was inviting enough to eat in. The plastic utensils were a bit discouraging but the food easily made up for that. For appetizers we had Crab Rangoon, fresh and not reheated - very yummy and Steamed Dumplings - a little watery but good. I had my go-to, Hunan Chicken. A very healthy and very fresh portion that was seasoned perfectly for me and the chicken, so tender it almost melted in my mouth - outstanding. My wife had Chicken w/ Snow Peas and again, very fresh and nicely seasoned. The Snow Peas were cooked but still crunchy and again the chicken was superb! I see China Cafe as our go-to Chinese take-out and would encourage them to upgrade to plates and cutlery - I think their atmosphere would support them as a nice eat in restaurant! read more

This little hole in the wall is surpringly good! It's a very non-descript little place in a Shopping plaza, zero ambiance but SUPER inexpensive & large portioned Chinese food. Our family happened upon6 because it's nearby--but it's worth driving across town for a Take-Out order. Their Combo Fried Rice must be in your order--but if you leave the restaurant without getting an order of Crab Rangoon--Your Loss!! The King-Pao Shrimp and Cashew Chicken are also terrific. read more

Just ordered delivery online straight from the company's website. I ordered at 7:54pm. They are not closed until 9:00pm. The order confirmation stated that the food would be here by 8:49pm. So, I figured I'd be their last delivery of the night. Nope. They just didn't deliver. At all. It is now past their closing time and I have called them 8 times since 8:50pm and no one has answered. No one has arrived at my door and since their business is now closed, that must mean they wont' be coming tonight. Awesome. I will be seeking a refund and will never purchase from this unprofessional business again. How lazy can you be to not acknowledge a delivery or to just straight up ignore it because you don't want to do it? If you cannot make it in time, call your customers to let them know if it is too late to deliver for you. Don't give false information to those ordering online who are waiting for dinner if you are in a hurry to close early and go home. Terrible business practice. read more

This is the best Chinese place in the city, by far! I looked for a good place ever since I left the city (San Antonio) and moved to Arkansas. They make the food fresh for you when you order it and it's fantastic every time. We haven't found anything we don't like and the prices are great. Also, when we have semi large orders ($30+) they give us little freebies. They recognize my voice when I call in and are always super nice. read more
