I am from Springfield, MO and found this place as a place to get the Springfield Style Cashew Chicken I have been craving. Based on reviews, we tried this out. This little establishment has great service, was clean, and the food we got was good, but the cashew chicken is NOT Springfield style. It is battered chicken, not breaded. The sauce, while good, was not what was expected. My husband had a combo with sweet and sour chicken and a chicken and vegetable. It was good and as expected. The fried rice was very good as were the egg rolls. We each had a cup of soup, the egg drop and hot and sour. Both were delicious. Great little spot for Chinese, but not for authentic Springfield Cashew Chicken. read more

I don't understand why they refuse to make modifications or substitutions for anything. I've tried a couple of times to order General Tso's tofu and asked if I could have it with rice noodles instead of rice. They say no every time. Then I ask if I can just order a side of the tofu and they say sure, then still charge me full price as if I was getting the whole dish. I love the food and its always delicious! Been coming here for years. has always been my go-to spot for Chinese food. Just wish they would allow substitutions, or side orders without charging the full price. read more

Walked in to order and the woman at the counter was very kind and quick. Food was finished in about 10-15 minutes. The food was pretty good. One of the better places I've been to. Noodles were smokey and delicious, although I wish they would have more flavor..The side of fried rice was hard, but the flavor was there. The steamed rice was perfectly cooked. The general Tso's Chicken was delicious and not at all spicy. Overall a good experience and will most likely be back. read more

First time here. I was in the area, which I'm am not usually. I live about 30 min away. The food was good. If I lived nearby I would throw it into my rotation for sure. There were several take out orders coming in and out while I was there. The staff were all very nice. The rice that came with my Kung Pow Chicken was cooked and seasoned nicely. Been here a handful of times over the years. I don't care for it. It's a small drafty place, and it gets cold when the door opens. The food is okay, but the trouble is sometimes it's inconsistent and I've had things that were overcooked (Sweet and Sour Chicken) and all dried out as if they had been under a sun lamp all day. read more

We came for the first time Christmas Eve and we were pleasantly surprised! The orange chicken was our favorite and the cheese stars were great too. Not the typical red sweet and sour sauce for dipping. The service was fast and they were so nice. The inside is intimate and clean. We will definitely be returning to try other dishes! read more

I really love this food for the price point. They are always prompt with your take out and every order is filled correctly. My only reason for giving four instead of five stars is there mild medium hot range of spicy is not very accurate. The hot is more like mild, period. I really wish they had a more spicy version of general Taos chicken but nothing seems to even be remotely medium. Still love the chicken fried rice and all the dishes, just not a spicy option. read more

We ordered the chicken and broccoli, mandarin chicken, plain chow mein, and vegetable fried rice and my kids lovedddd it everything was so delicious! I tend to be pretty picky with takeout but I finally found a place that has delicious takeout for a fair price! Ordered the broccoli chicken with steamed rice to go. The portion size of the broccoli chicken was good. However the rice was the smallest container I've seen -- maybe 1/3 of a cup. Not nearly enough rich for the meal. I asked to have some more and they charged another $2 for another micro container. They should provide enough rice for the meal instead of making you pay more. I'd rather pay a little more for the meal with enough rice, than to be surprised that I need to buy more rice. Shady business practice. I won't return. read more

I would ask you to try the house specials the Mama Tangs chow mein and Mama Tangs fried rice. Coming with chicken, beef, and shrimp! My personal favorite is the Mongolian Shrimp. The prices are great for the size of the meal! And if not to busy your order is done 5 or 10 min. And if you want an even better deal go in the morning to get the lunch specials. Almost didn't try this place because the reviews weren't very strong. However, so glad that we did because it was fantastic! Small place but service was quick and kind. Crab Rangoon was crispy and fresh Pork potstickers sooo goood! Shrimp fried rice was basic Veggie Rice noodle was light and delish! General's chicken - the best! Crunchy but not drowning is sauce. Freshly prepared, and an ok place - but what we both got was not at all as described on the menu. Garlic sauce is described as a spicy brown sauce with garlic - what you get at every Chinese restaurant. What I received was a clear sticky sauce, much more like sweet-and-sour than anything else, but the server said it 'was' the garlic sauce. The happy family was also not in the described brown sauce. 9/2021 the food tastes ok, but the serving size seems smaller and they have increased all their prices. They have started allowing for dine in again. They usually get the orders wrong some how. I used to love this place but post COVID, not so much. You can't dine in during all of their open hours. Nothing like showing up to dine in only to be told you can only have to-go. I don't want to sit there 20 minutes waiting for a to-go order. Why stay open until 9pm and not allow dine in past 7:30pm. Their posted hours on menus and online don't align to their operating hours. If you're going to change your operation tell your loyal customers. We've been going here since they opened but lately I'm nothing but disappointed. read more

We have had lunch here several times and are very impressed with the food! The lunch specials include a cup of soup, an egg roll, your choice of entree with both rice and noodles! We have never been disappointed in the quality or quantity of our meals. Service is very quick and always with a smile. The dinning room is clean and bright, a very quiet and comfortable environment. I do not easily hand out 5star ratings but after a few more meals and trying a few more menu items I will probably revise my rating! I ordered tso's chicken, fried rice and crab Rangoon. I was pleased with the chicken, very flavorful. I was disappointed in the crab Rangoon. It was mostly cream cheese.
