This is the only Chinese restaurant in the area. Lunch special choices are limited to 3 dishes: chicken with vegetables, spicy beef or chicken and Green Pepper beef or chicken. I got the spicy beef. Generous amount of soup and served really hot. The flavor was confused between egg drop and hot and sour. It's ok for a hot soup. The beef slices were tender and generous slices.. i wish the flavor was more "Chinese" because it just tasted like a stir fried beef with veggies and a touch of soy sauce. Not spicy nor lack of nuances of Chinese flavors such as ginger, sesame oil, oyster sauce or something. It was ok for lunch but it was underwhelming. If you want to get your Chinese fix or craving, you can come here. They were the only Chinese food in the area. The employees were ok but looked stressed. People were nice. Food was not. I ordered the spicy chicken lunch special. This came with seasoned rice and I chose an egg roll as the side. Also got an extra order of steamed dumplings. Spicy chicken: the chicken itself was decent and not really spicy. The worst pet though is the meat to veggie ratio was about 1:4. Way too many veggies for the amount of chicken you get. Seasoned rice: the rice honestly just tasted like rice. Not much more to it. Egg roll: the egg roll was pretty bland and a little undercooked in my opinion. Steamed dumplings: I think this was the most bland dumpling I've ever had. They do not taste fresh and only have chicken in the middle. They give you some soy sauce with garlic in it. By far the worst thing I had here. All in all I think I would go here last out of all the Asian restaurants in the area. I don't feel like there was effort in the food at all. Having gone to this restaurant since I was a child, and my father going here close to when it was first around, as well as being regulars you would expect you wouldn't have to deal with one of the owners to start patronizing us for something we had almost no involvement in, in a completely outside matter unrelated to the restaurant at all. He was intimidating and frustrating, especially that he made us look through our camera for something that wasnt even there. It's been a cold and rainy week, what better comfort food than Chinese take-out? Drive thru menu was clear to read and person on speaker box was prompt to greet us! We ordered Wonton soup, Eggrolls, Pork Fried Rice, Pork Lo Mein, and Shrimp w/ Vegetables (a lot of shrimp for the price!). Everything tasted great! It was hot, fresh, and seasoned well. The take out containers are reusable so keep them for extra Tupperware. The staff was very friendly and service was quick. Apps were good but all entrees had an obscene and inedible amount of garlic that tasted like it was bought at Walmart after the expiration date. I love garlic, but not gross, not in excess, and not in meals that it doesn't belong. I've never tasted garlic in general Tso chicken or lo mein but they were literally inedible. Pork fried rice was decent and steamed dumplings were good however there was no gyoza sauce, just regular soy sauce which was a little disappointing. Ate here for the first time the other night. My husband ordered the shrimp lo mein, I got the beef and broccoli with rice, and we shared the crab Rangoon. Overall the meal was good, it was a nice change of pace from the other Chinese places we frequent so I know we will be back. They obviously have a lot of regulars because while we were waiting for our food at least 4 people came in and the cashier knew their orders by heart, such a sweet and welcoming feeling. Our meals were wonderful, portion sizes were big, rice was cooked perfectly, and it had a good amount of flavor. The crab Rangoon was a bit odd. I've eaten a lot of crab Rangoon in my day and I have never seen the inside be yellow and we're those carrots and onions I tasted? I didn't see any crab or imitation crab, just something that looked and tasted like carrot, so if that's the case that's a little concerning. I probably won't order that again, but that's not going to stop me from coming. Loved the food loved the staff and will definitely be back. read more
