I took good care of the room and left it clean, with no damage and no excessive mess. When I returned the key and requested my deposit, the manager refused to return it. When I asked for a reason, he said, **"I just do not want to return it to you,"** and walked away. He provided no damage report, itemized charges, receipt, written explanation, or any other documentation to justify keeping my money. The condition of the hotel was also unacceptable. The hallway had a strong marijuana odor, the room was dirty, and the toilet was clogged. When I called for assistance, the manager told me that no one would come to fix it. During my first night, there was also a reported fatal shooting in front of the hotel, which made the entire stay feel extremely dangerous and unsafe. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Future guests should be extremely cautious before booking this property. The hotel felt unsafe, the room was poorly maintained, the customer service was unacceptable, and my deposit was not returned. **Protect your safety and your money before booking this hotel. I strongly recommend staying somewhere else.**
