Wow. I didn't expect to find Chinese takeout spot in a safe neighborhood to fit my ghetto ass palette. My friends and I from the Bronx always joke that if you're afraid to walk alone in a neighborhood, then you know the food fire. China City is defying that expectation. I only ordered the sesame chicken but the pieces were hunks of white meat with a crisp that wasn't overly greasy-- dare I say, even invigorating? Hello love handles. I've been to dozens of Chinese takeout restaurants all around Brooklyn whenever I'm looking for a quick and inexpensive dinner, and this place is the best out of all of them. Their General Tso's chicken is always delectable and perfectly crispy, and their servings are incredibly generous compared to 99% of all the other Chinese takeout restaurants. Being cold with an appetite only calls for one type of food; Chinese! Walking around kings highway and west 10th helped me spot "Chinese City". I immediately started to crave some chicken and broccoli. As you walk in, you start to notice that familiar Chinese scent. I made my order and it only took around 5 minutes to make. The order turned out to be a little bit less than $7 due to my Pepsi can. As I was enjoying my dish, I started to notice the significant amount of rice they give you. This helped me conclude that their portions are really small in terms of the actual chicken and broccoli they give you. Every other Chinese fast food restaurant I've been too has much bigger portions. As it came without a surprise, I left the place being as hungry as when I walked in. I would say this is so far the best Chinese take out I every had. Their stired Fried Shrimp Lo mein and shrimp Ho fun are my favorites. The shrimps are really fresh and they always give a great among of them. If you order the large portion, it is good for two people. They aren't cheap at all with the quitity. Their steam Chicken broccoli is also really good. All their stired fried dishes aren't greasy. Great for satisfying ur late night Chinese food craving. I recently moved to this area and I decided to go get Chinese food at 11pm. This was one of the few places that was still open so I decided to give it a try. I ordered two appetizers and two platters. Their cheese wontons and spare ribs are amazing. The two platters contained great portions and you can substitute the egg rolls with soda or soup. It is one of the few restaurants that closes at midnight. The lady was nice even though it sounded like she was screaming when she said my order was ready lol. This is a fast chinese food joint so I didn't have high expectations to begin with but if you can't even make chicken & broccoli over rice right you shouldn't be in business. The last time I ordered was by far the worst, the chicken was disgusting, broccoli was hardly cooked, even though I asked for them to be soft. Also there was hardly any sause and whatever sauce there was on it was in the form of jelly and the rice was not even cooked fully. This is the closest Chinese food place by me so hence I order here for the convenience when I get back late and don't fell like cooking and need something fast. They have the best beef and broccoli here! Their chicken wings and French fries are pretty dope too. I live close to this place so delivery time isn't too long. If you feel like dining in, there's also more than ample room for you to sit down and enjoy your meal. This restaurant can fit up to 15 people in one setting. I ordered a simple four chicken wings with fries it was 7:30 pm not even close to closing time waited about ten minutes when I got home maybe 3 minutes away I found chewy fries and n bearly fried wings very very disappointed only ate the two smallest wings. My conclusion is that they're trying to save money on the deep fryer and kept it at really low heat. So pissed that tgey could mess up something as simple as 4 wings with fries..... I haven't ate anything else from them and dont plan too anymore if your a restaurant accept the price of the gas bill !!!
