Rice was made where the grains were loose and the other ingredients blend in well. The eggrolls were nice fresh and crunchy. General Tso Chicken was fried well as it was still crispy walking home. For what it is, this is a great regular Chinese spot. Interior has an old school vibe which is kind of cute. Friendly staff, good hot food, and I can grab a meal for myself and my partner with everything we want for less than $30? You can't beat that for anything. We just ordered dinner from here & I must say it was delicious. I had the vegetable fried rice & chicken wings, my fiancé had the shrimp fried rice with fried shrimp on the side & my daughter had nuggets and fries. The food was slightly good but after 2 hours I had a massive tummy ache. I have eaten there before and had the same experience and thought I could give them another chance. I live down the street from this Chinese restaurant and this place has been the only Chinese take out we've been to. The food is pretty consistent and has decent size portions, not to mention the price is always right. We usually order sweet and sour chicken, chicken and broccoli, egg rolls, and pan fried dumplings. The dumplings are legit the best, and the egg rolls are very fresh. This place is worth ordering from for sure. They also send an extra soda if you order more than 30$ read more

I'm giving 5 stars for the two dishes that I had, not a full sized family meal or anything of that nature. I had the egg drop soup with crispy wonton strips and lobster fried rice. This was a take out order, and both came in pint sized containers. The fried rice was delicious and not excessively greasy or heavy. The flavor was perfect! The lobster chunks were plentiful. The egg drop soup was delicious as well, and tasted even better with the wonton strips. Washed it all down with a pint of sweet tea... The staff was friendly, and the food was ready in a timely manner. The establishment itself is pretty small, but it certainly makes for a great late night meal when you don't want to hit up the nearby bodega on the corner. read more

5 star!!! This is now my second visit to China Delight. I travel through Brooklyn often for work, and my hotel is right near this restaurant. My first visit was great, and I wanted to try it again on my latest trip. First time was eating in, and today was take out. I ordered the chicken and broccoli, which was recommended by the very nice cashier. It was absolutely amazing! The chicken was perfectly cooked, and juicy. The broccoli was also perfect with a small crunch, but so so tender. The sauce that it is cooked in rounds this dish out to perfection. The rice is good, and the eggroll is so fresh. Needless to say, I ate the entire meal! It's a big portion too! I did have the Sweet and Sour Chicken on my last visit. It was absolutely yummy. If you want a consistent meal that is guaranteed to please, this is your place to go. All for just $9!!! I cant wait for my next trip to Brooklyn! China Delight is my first stop. :) read more

Perfectly adequate and hits the spot when you're craving easy NY Chinese food.

Pretty much a very easy take out / delivery spot. Food comes quickly and doesn't taste greasy. Vegetables taste fresh & firm and not soggy which is exactly what I need. I got the sweet and sour chicken with steamed broccoli and pork fried rice with a pork egg roll and a banana Snapple LOL. Everything was great, no complaints. There were real chunks of chicken within each sweet and sour chicken bite, and definitely not too much dough which I can't stand. Honestly that Eggroll tasted fresh and not hard or stale like some egg rolls do. When I went to get my order the lady knew exactly what I got and was also very friendly and polite. I'm pretty satisfied and will definitely keep going as a local neighborhood customer. No reason not to give this place five stars. read more

My husband and I really enjoy this place. I know it's a hit or miss with Chinese food but the food here is really good. Very clean, fresh food, with fair prices. What I did not like, the prices on the menu is not up to date and appear on cheaper than what you actually pay. I ordered the curry shrimp & vegetable with brown rice. The food of course was made to order, the shrimp taste fresh, the veggies were cooked, the curry sauce was also good. The brown rice cooked well which isn't easy to make. I ordered from the lunch menu, your meal came with a choice of a soda or egg roll. I choose the soda. The price on the menu for $6.00 this price included tax. I was charge $7.00, when asked why I was charged an extra $1.00 I was told that's price. I of course brought the menu price to her attention and was told the menu is wrong. Just a suggestion but maybe you should charge your menu. The food was good, so I'll definitely come again but ummmm make sure you prices match. read more

I have been going to this Chinese restaurant for app. 10 years. While it serves "average" chinese dishes, this is my primary choice as they are a few in the neighborhood. Every time I've been there, the lady seems to know all the customers names and dishes by heart. And I often hear her speaking Spanish with the customers (I should have mentioned she is Chinese). I have personally went in with not enough money, and she did allow me to pay the next time I visited ( which I did as she is very friendly and trusting person). Very affordable. I live nearby this place, and love it for its neighborhood feel. Several regulars frequent this place, and the people behind the counter seem to know them by name and order. Many times when I've been there to pick up food I have observed that the workers usually know a customer's order at the time they walk through the door. Very friendly. There is nothing extraordinary about the food itself. Just your typical Chinese restaurant. My favorite dish is the Sesame Chicken. read more
