My mom and I go after church on Sundays. She had to go to the bathroom really bad so I asked one of the workers he told her yes but to hurry. All of a sudden this Tall worker started telling my mother off telling her this bathroom is not for customers and on and on he went. My mom held me back from going off on him. We did it. We found a Chinese food delivery that is pretty darn good. Yeah, it shouldn't be this hard in NYC but consistency has been a challenge. We order the regular staples many know and love like General Tsos chicken, orange chicken, sweet & sour chicken, egg rolls, chicken fried rice and garlic chicken. Everything comes in good portions and has options for rice that is helpful. Each time we've ordered it arrived on time and hot enough that it doesn't need any reheating. It makes fine enough leftovers too when you over order. We've tried so many different Chinese delivery places and while they're getting 5 stars (since it's our fave) it's still only delivery Chinese. I ordered from C&Y through GrubHub and the order was delivered to the wrong address (with a wrong photo and everything!) When I called up C&Y to ask about a refund, the guy who answered the phone told me to ask GrubHub instead. Except he didn't just tell me. He ranted at me for a couple of minutes about how it wasn't his responsibility. I was polite the whole time, and tried to explain that I didn't know who to contact about it. This didn't stop the guy from going on and on about what a pest I was being to him. So...goodbye C&Y. Picked-up some takeout from C And Y Chinese on Sunday afternoon. A very solid Chinese take-out option with massive portions. Quality: My first foray into take-out Chinese in Park Slope was a success. C And Y Chinese, which also is known as Food Lin, was about all you could ask for. I went with my standard order of General Tso's Chicken and it was very good. Solid pork fried rice, a hefty portion of chicken, and a decent iteration of the sauce, though a little more heat would have been nice. Even more impressive were the Crab Rangoons, which were larger than usual and absolutely stuffed. And while the prices may look a little higher, the large quantities make up for it. Quantity: Very large portions, the combo easily makes two meals and the Crab Rangoons come with eight large wontons. Value: $10 for the General Tso's Chicken Combo. $6 for Crab Rangoons. Ambiance: C And Y Chinese is located along 5th Avenue in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn. It is a small location with the kitchen making up the majority of the shop. They do have about a half dozen tables in front, though it was clear it was mainly take-out. Even on a nice day it was very warm inside the restaurant, so it would not be my choice to dine-in, unless as a last resort. Crowd: Two people were eating their food at one of the six tables inside, but most of their business was take-out. Service: Be aware that the online ordering options don't show the whole menu. The tofu was made in the wok which was great with a perfect match with the mushrooms, simplicity is golden to me. I also had shrimp rolls which is rare for me it was made nice and crispy once again not any greasy contents . I ordered the sweet tea as well when I get I home water it down with some fresh lemon perfect. The place is clean as well which is important to customers as I stated in previous yelp reviews.
