the staff is friendly and the take out order was prepared quickly. All new face's running the restaurant now. This used to be my go to place for years. The chicken with vegetables has gone down hill. The food was delivered quickly. Unfortunately, that was the best part of the meal. Everything was greasy and had an old taste to it. Egg rolls were pure grease and even dark in color. Boneless ribs were dry and tough. Wonton soup was pure grease and dry wontons. Didn't even finish the meal and threw it away. read more

It's Christmas Eve night and wanted something hot, tasty and good so I called China Express and ordered the Sesame chicken combination platter with white rice. Lady on phone says pick up in 7minutes and confirmed the location of the store. I pay $10 and picked up my food and went home. Rice was stale and warm, chicken wasn't hot or fresh and it wasn't white meat or any meat at all. It's was all dough. I then called China Express to verbally express my disappointment. We were looking for Chinese one night when the Husbeast was working late and I was home sick. This used to be our go to place, so I rang them up and placed an order for 2 General Tso combos, much to the husbeast's consternation. The meals were tasty, both had fried rice and an egg roll and a helping of General Tso's chicken that was MORE than enough for me, and the husband was a member of the almost clean plate club. I am a first time customer. The egg roll was good, but the beef lo mein was grainy, as if sand was mixed in the food. We threw it away.

Was working at the hospital nearby and just ordered fried dumplings and spring rolls. The dumplings were a complete mess, burnt on one side and soggy. Spring rolls were edible but could tell they were from a box from the freezer sections at the grocery. I was disappointed but figured they just aren't good cooks. I went to China Express this afternoon at 2pm and ordered one of the lunch specials. Picked up the Snowpeas and beef which came with pork fried rice, a spring roll, and an ice cold can of Coke . All of this was under $7.00 and everything was delicious and very filling. The Snowpeas were plentiful and tender. The beef was a nice amount and also very tender. I loved that there were a nice amount of water chestnuts in the dish too. Definitely a great meal and a nice price. I will definitely be going back again! read more

The layout is odd. Looks like something out if Breaking Bad where you put your cash in a little plexiglass drawer to give them. Understand it is probably due to COVID but not very indicative of the actual food. The food was great for a reasonable price. Coming from Los Angeles and Phoenix I didn't expect to find decent Chinese Take Out here in a small town like Tarpon Springs. OH MY GOODNESS WAS I WRONG. China Express is as good as anything I had in. L. A. (Wilshire and Western) and Phoenix (Paradise Valley (Mr Cooks)). And yes for those of you in the know, I used to eat downtown at Paul's Kitchen, On Luck, Man Fuk Low and some of the other popular places near the Produce Market in L A. So you can expect to get very good quality at China Express. My fav is the Eggplant with Beef, #120. I'm not sure why some of the ratings here are so low but I've eaten delivered food from here several times in the last three years and have never been disappointed. If you don't know what to order try the Dragon and Phoenix. H15, Chicken and Shrimp with vegetables. Really good. The only downside is they don't do a good Chop Suey. In fact its not on the menu. Other than that I will continue to eat hear very often. These folks work hard at producing good Chinese Take Out and this is one Greek Boy who is very happy with their offerings. read more

The food has always been fresh, hot and delicious! Delivery is prompt, and I have not had an error on any order!! Their Mongolian Beef is amazing! The food is best for a Chinese take out in Tarpon for sure. However they really need to clean the place up put the tables back in place take the plastic down and act professional. Pretty good food. What's awesome though, is they have this "deal" where for $25 you get an entire box of food. It's enough for about 5 people, or 3 meals for 2 people I would say. It's a bit far if you don't live close, but definitely a great deal, and one of the better New York style take out joints in the area. read more

We have take out dinner nearly twice a week from China Express. Last night we ordered the $27.99 Family Meal Deal. Here's what we ordered: Large Chicken & Broc, Large Chicken Egg Foo Young, Large Rice (your choice), Large WonTon Soup, 2 packs of crispy soup noodles, 3 spring rolls, 2Liter Coke, fortune cookies and they always give you an order of chicken nuggets with any purchase over $20. I LOVE their food. They are super fast and family owned (which I love to support). I have two sons who are bottomless pits. There is so much food, we had dinner last night, we will have lunch today and still have Chicken & Broc to spare! I seriously don't know of a better deal on great food. read more

I knew something was wrong when I placed the order they said ready in 5 minutes. Lo Mein was mushy and shrimp were soggy. The shrimp toast tasty odd, like old pork so we had to throw out. Lastly we were sick all through the night. Need I say more. Be cautious with this place. read more

Called in for a special order of one of their items, could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Substituted two ingredients to a dish and they did not skimp. Chicken friend rice was wonderful in amount and quality of chicken and veggies. But it lacked a little flavor. Nothing you couldn't dock up at home. Also ordered teriyaki beef and was pleased with overall quality and flavor. They offer free delivery so I will definitely be going back in addition to the quality of food they serve. WARNING the young man who works the register is extremely rude!!!! I was at a friends for christmas day in Tarpon Springs and this was the only place open. We decided to go to China Express and get some lunch. Needless to say I completely regret going there. A younger guy was taking my order and being extremely rude. Talking in chinese to another cook smiling and insulting us as we were waiting. Even after the poor service my order wasn't even right and the kid was telling me thats what I ordered. Thankfully i had my friend there who had assured the kid I orderd white rice instead of stir fried!! The food was greasy and disgusting!! I don't know if this is normal, but he then began to handle my food without gloves grabbing my chicken and then pouring grease on with a spoon!!!
