China Sea Is now China Garden... The food was pretty good, it was fresh and presented well for takeout. I got the sweet and sour chicken lunch special with shrimp fried rice instead of the plain fried rice that comes with the special. The cost was $12 and that's probably because I upgraded my fried rice to shrimp fried rice and the shrimp were the biggest that I've ever seen in fried rice. The food was fresh with a nice flavor. The egg roll was so good that it didn't even make it home. I called my order in and it was ready on time. The service was good, and they were friendly. The building is old so the dining area is a little old and dark...I'm not sure if I'd want eat in, but my take out experience was nice. The bathrooms were clean but had old fixtures. The only reason that I didn't give them 5 stars was because they didn't include any utensils or napkins. read more

The dining area has been cleaned and brightened up. It's awesome to see new life being brought to this well established eatery. I'm not a huge fan of Chinese food but my husband and children like it so we've eaten here several times. They are always friendly and the food is always good! The fortune cookies are fun too. If you place a to go order in the first couple of weeks of the new year they give you a very pretty Chinese calendar! I love that extra touch. It always reminds me of my grandmother. She used to have them hanging in her kitchen when I was a little girl. My favorite meal is their chicken fried rice and egg drop soup! Oh and their Chinese donuts! So good!!! My husband and son are a little more adventurous with their food and have eaten many different things off their menu. They've enjoyed everything! Hubby really likes their egg rolls!! Give them a try! Nice little place. Very small inside, decor is very basic. But the food is consistently good. The owners seem to be the only ones I have seen there, which means the food is always cooked the same way, doesn't vary because of different chefs. I think they really do more carry out than eat in, very few people are ever there when we are eating, at the most one other table. Just a little hard to see from the road for it is in a shopping strip that is perpendicular from the road, just look for the signs on the road and turn in. read more

Best Chinese food in our small town. Newer owners are always there so food is consistent. Last owners had different family members cooking without even results. The sauces are never "brown" tasting or overwhelming, just tasty. They do more takeout business than eat in. Owners seem a little distant until you engage them, they're nice people. read more

The food is okay and the scenery is okay. It's nothing special but fair for the price. Occasionally the chicken tastes more like plastic than actual meat. It's all around a better quick bite than going to McDonald's or other hueytown fast food, but not much better or healthier. I bought the Mongolian beef with egg drop soup and an egg roll. The Mongolian beef was mostly onions with a thick Mongolian sauce,the fried rice didn't have any veggies or egg in it and kind of tasteless the egg roll and egg drop soup were both great though and the staff was friendly plus the fortune cookie was fresh which I've found is hard to find in most Chinese places.
