Hunan beef
Gordon K.

Average Chinese food from frozen vegetable stock; freshly prepared after order. Prices for lunch specials are lower than any I have seen. Egg rolls seem to be made there as opposed to using frozen ones. You get soup and egg roll with the lunch specials. But, I am not wowed. Happy China is very clean and decorations are not gaudy. This is a good place for lunch and has all the typical fare. I have tried the Hunan beef and the almond chicken. Hunan beef is very sweet and contains a bit of heat. Almond chicken has a mild garlic taste, is not sweet at all, and has no heat.

Excellent American style Chinese food. Friendly service, cozy dining room, plenty of parking. We'll be back!

Take out only. Sign on the door- no other way of knowing. Not fun to discover when you have a starving 2 year old in your arms.

Food was okay. When I asked for napkins, was only given a small thin napkin. I asked for more napkins, the cashier rolled her eyes at me!

Always polite and delicious - we have been customers for years. Especially like the sweet and sour soup.

The restaurant itself is also fairly large with a lot of seating a few TVs and a nice dark-wall ambience. In the past, I've had Gen. Tso's chicken with fried rice, which I highly recommend, but today I wanted to do something different so I went with Kung pow chicken, which ads nice fresh vegetables and peanuts to a spicy chicken mix. It's a bit less sweet than General Tso's. I also had egg drop soup which was pleasant and mild as an appetizer. I might want a bit more rice delivered with my meal, my friend today asked for a second rice serving with his dish, and mine was a little short on the very pleasant fried rice. We had terrific service from our waitress, she was helpful and attentive and friendly. After your meal explore the grocery store. There are a lot of unique food opportunities in the cavernous grocery store, and, believe it or not, there's a ping pong tournament space in the back. A fun and fascinating visit.

Closest Chinese takeout to my house, annotated menu to order on the phone, which in this romanticized scenario is a landline. Food is ready incredibly fast. They don't ask for a name for your order, they simply read your aura when you walk in. They do have a few tables to eat inside, but I'm sure the majority of their business are phone orders. It gets the job done. Dumplings are always a must-have for me. They're great steamed or fried. Also, who do I have to beg to just give me the MSG? Life is too short.

They were steady but there was still a table available for us to sit. The service was incredibly friendly and efficient. We both got the lunch sesame chicken with soup and added on an egg roll. The sodas are in bottles but not overpriced at $2.50 each. The total was $38 not including tip for two of us which, in 2026, is reasonable. I got the hot and sour soup and my husband got the egg drop. I didn't try his but he said it was wonderful but the hot and sour may have been the best I've ever had. It had just the right amount of kick, the mushrooms were big and fresh and perfectly cooked, and it was steaming hot! The egg roll was fantastic, and if you are a hot mustard fan definitely ask for a ramekin instead of the packet. It's super hot and made my nose run but the flavor was incredible. The sesame chicken had very light breading, was juicy, large in portion and piece size and all white meat. I think I managed one bite of fried rice before I was full but it was cooked perfectly. Some of the reviews complained about the lack of music playing or art on the walls but truly the friendly service more than makes up for it; I don't go out to eat to listen to their background music, anyway. We will make a point to come back any time we are in the area.

My moo goo gai pan had barely any chicken in it. There were huge chunks of vegetables and it was way too starchy. It was like they were trying to compensate for the lack of protein in it. I haven't ordered from them this year, but I did tonight. Listen the economy is rough for everyone but I paid $15 for this chicken and they used maybe 1/8 of a chicken breast in it. Not cool. Hate to leave the negative review, but I need to warn people that they're using filler food to complete the orders and charging more. What's not cool anywhere these days is paying more and getting way less than just a few years ago. All of us are working hard to earn money and it just feels so disappointing to not get what you pay for, especially when you're paying more than you used to. I don't know who to blame for this. If I wanted a carton of vegetables I would have eaten a frozen bag for $2.50 tonight.
