Best service and excellent food. I'm there twice a week. They see me walk in and know my order.

I'm living here 13 yrs now. Amy ( owner ?) works very hard, in a small space. They're the only ones in town that directly deliver. However, ever since Covid, supplies have been short, & seems each time I've called in the 6 years hence, she's either always out of something, or simply doesn't carry it anymore- like brown rice! Also, while her menu prices ( take-out, mind you) have increased exponentially, almost each new time I've ordered , the quantity as well as, sadly, the quality is just not the same ! Just as an example, her basic pint -yes, pint of Wonton soup went from a reasonable $1.75/$2.25- to currently $4.60 ( less wontons). Another, on same block charges $3.55!! CG's " small" appetizer of spareribs have only 4, instead of the previous 5, & now cost $ 10.25!!! ( was like $6.00, when I came up here). Their neighbor competitor ( same block )- $9.15!! So, like grocery stores, paying more for less! No more brown rice at all. ** Now, if it were just economics, that'd be one thing, but the whole taste of the food is different; less! It's like Amy's not even bothering to bring her " A game"! That, to me, is most disturbing! Frankly, there's a lot of competive choices in the area. So, ok, the current lousy economy, prices, gas for deliveries, & problems are a real issue. If one chooses to eat out, then that's the reality . But, as a business, I'd think, given the proximity of the competition , I don't understand why you wouldn't do your absolute best, to stay ahead of the competition, & offer your best meals, given the cost to the customers ? Frankly, it's not only frustrating, it's plain sad! After the last experience, made a note reminding myself- nope, not again, not worth $$$ - for takeout!! read more

Gross! Pu pu platter was disgusting! Spring roll was slimy in the center! All the fried food had more fry than food in it! What was supposed to be ribs didn't taste like pork ribs! Whatever meat was on the stakes was bland with red sweet thick sauce The white rice was off white! The pork fried dumplings were eh... What a huge disappointment this dinner option was. I hope you like veggies. Ordered about $50 worth of food there, one of them was beef and scallops which we ordered with "a little bit of vegetables. Needless to say when we got home we got this! China Garden is neither good or bad, it's just meh. During the recent closures our favorite Chinese place was closed down temporarily and China Garden was open. We ordered what we normally would: lo mein, sesame chicken, egg rolls, etc. It scratched the itch but was not the best food we've ever had. read more

Worst delivery service ever Called in our order at 6:30 last night and were told 45 minutes. At 7:30 we called again and were told 15 more minutes. At 8:00 we called again and were told it's on the way. At 8:30 we called again and were told the "new guy" got lost and they would remake our order an have the husband deliver it. We were so disgusted by now we lost our appetites. At 8:50 our dinner finally came. We have ordered many times in the past and after last night we will NEVER order for delivery from this restaurant AGAIN. You have OFFICIALLY lost a long term customer FOREVER! P.S. China Garden is the only place that delivers but never had a bad complaint except they hardly put any pork in their fried rice. But last night I placed my order at 5pm and still no food at 6pm so I called and was told it's on the way. The driver showed up at 6:30pm and never apologized and tried to give me the wrong change. So never again will I order from a China Garden again, I'll just have my husband pick it up from now on! Remember when businesses actually tried to give their customers quality service? I have been ordering from this place for over a year now. Tonight I placed an order at 7pm. At 8pm still no food. I called and asked when the order would be here.... the response I got is mind boggling! "Oh, my driver does not want to come there. We're very busy. I didn't have time to call you. We no have Chinese delivery guy we have Spanish delivery guy tonight and he does not want to drive there cause we very busy"!!!!! So you let 1 hour go by without so much as a phone call to tell me our dinner would not be coming because "your driver" doesn't feel like coming here! You're for real? WE WILL NEVER ORDER FROM YOUR MEDIOCRE ESTABLISHMENT ANYMORE! Having 1 driver on a Friday night was your first mistake. Ordered from here the last few times because Bamboo Village stopped delivering. It's never been great- just convenient. However tonight was the worst. We couldn't eat the pepper steak because the meat had a silver, shiny skin on it- not only looked odd, but tasted awful. The vegetable dumplings stuffing was so mushy they were inedible as were the egg rolls. $50 and we ended up making chocolate chip cookies for dinner because all of the food had to be tossed. A real life samurai cooks food here its that good. For real the food is good ,great porportions and sometimes if you miss lunch special and plead with them thell give it to you anyway. Ordered delivery and it came fast ... the dude that delivered it was very happy that i was eating his food and hopefully that was for a good reason and not because he did something dirty to it. read more

I always order delivery from them. as I'm a huge fan of pork dumplings. They are definitely the best in the area!

They are always busy which is a good sign of that this place serves good food. We use them every week and once the large container of rice was missing, we called and they sent it right over. I have had four meals at China Garden. I would not have written this poor review if I did not get ill from the meal I had last night. All in all I had two so -so to poor meals at China Garden, one good, and this last one which tasted like garbage. This last meal made me ill. I ordered Buddha's Delight. It is supposed to be a vegetarian meal. The strong taste of oysters in the sauce leads me to think otherwise. The dish consisted of a few snow peas which tasted like dirty dishwater, one or two slices of mushrooms, a few strands of sea weed, a few foul tasting slices of green pepper, onions that seemed to pick up the taste of a dirty cutting board, then lots of baby corn, more baby corn , and frozen peas and carrots. I'd say the dish was mostly peas and carrots. The taste was disgusting. After a few bites, I could not eat it. I had an intestinal problem this morning from the little I ate. I won't go back because of last night's sickening meal. I had given it four chances. Two were so-so to tasteless, one tasty but the waiter was totally grumpy and then the last meal which was foul. Yes, there are good reviews and yes, my dinner companions enjoyed their meals. But I won't go back. read more

CHINA GARDEN Restaurant This is a small modest restaurant with few table but all around is nice and clean.Don't expect big fish tanks or shiny fancy chairs and tables.Why me and my family are using just this small place for over 10 years?First of all this is a small family business.So you you will meet the owners who will do BEST FOR YOU.They are nice,friendly and after few your visit they will probably remember what do you like.Next thing is there is no wall between you and kitchen so you can see how they make your food!! So you can be 100% sure your food is allways made from fresh and no left owers! It's a very RARE place also because CHINA GARDEN is only one Restaurant where they cook and serve food with no MSG (MonoSodium Glutamate).So we never been sick anymore like from other 'restaurants'before.So you will eat for few dollars GREAT AND HEALTHY FOOD.Try General Tso Chicken od Chicken or Shrimp Luo Mien nudles!!Those are our favorites!!!
