Stopped by for a regular beef pho on a Monday afternoon. The place was calm but had a steady lunch crowd. It's a neat, comfortable spot for a solo meal, and service was friendly and attentive. The pho came out quickly and was fine overall - decent for the area but missing some depth in the broth, and the beef wasn't as tender as I'd hoped. I was happy they actually had the AC on and I could feel it! I really hate being uncomfortable while dinning. Our servers were attentive and steered us in the right direction on our dishes. My husband originally ordered something that had a dry rub. Our server made sure he realized what the dish consisted of. Which gave him the opportunity to change dishes. I asked for no bean sprouts and it was no big deal at all. My husband & I really enjoyed our dishes. They tasted so fresh, not oily, and even healthy. We were at Ocean City Odd Lots and decided to try Route 6 Pho since it was down the road. What a good decision that was. I ordered a Crispy Fish Sandwich with Spicy Mayo Dressing and my wife ordered Basil Sauce with Eggplant. The fish was crunchy, moist and delicious. The eggplant was tasty and full of flavor. The service was excellent and quick. I have to say that the video screen I was watching was a 12 hour youtube video of someone visiting one chinese food booth or shop after another. The place is clean, spacious and well lit. The service is nothing out of ordinary for an asian restaurant. The food selection is not overwhelming that you cannot make a decision, but their pho is spot on. This place is incredibly consistent with its quality and flavor everyone needs to try this place NOW. My go to is the seafood pho and the crispy fish bahn mi. The broth is incredibly flavorful and the crispy fish is cooked to perfection. This place also fries chicken really well. We ordered the popcorn chicken, Szechuan chili chicken, and wings in the past. It was never too much breading and perfectly seasoned and crisp. I've been here maybe 7 times. Was in the area and stopped in for lunch. Tried the pho and banh mi. Both are good for this far north. The pho was light and not oily but missing some of the deep flavors of authentic pho but still came with all the accompaniments of lime, chili peppers, mint and bean sprouts. The pork chop banh mi came with a healthy amount of pickles on it, but the bread was not a french b as baguette and more like a hoagie roll. The springrolls were accompanied with the traditional dipping sauce and pickled veggies and we enjoyed the butterflied shrimp. The pork chop over rice was good enough to devour by my husband. Nice, clean modern space with attentive service and good music. As someone who grew up eating pho in Vietnamese communities, I wish I could rave about the pho, but this was just ok. However, in the context of this being the only pho place for miles around, I'm happy that we have this as an option. The brisket was the best part of the Pho Special--very flavorful and tender. For me the appetizers were the best part of the meal. The spring rolls are really good and the fried wings are a must-get if you like fried chicken and/or wings. Wow. Perfectly crispy and paired with a sweet Grand Marnier-style sauce--a classic creamy sauce that is popular with Chinese banquets and a very inspired choice for this otherwise casual dish. I think this restaurant has great potential, it just needs some tweaks to the food and service. There is no other Vietnamese option in the Northern Westchester area, so this place can really corner the market if they get it right. We had reservations for four and when we arrived, they didn't have a table ready for us. I had called a half hour earlier to confirm, so they need to figure out how to fix this going forward. We were seated after a ten minute wait, so it wasn't terrible. It took another ten minutes until we got to order and the food came out pretty quickly. Getting our check also took fifteen minutes. They have a nice menu focusing on Pho and Banh Mi. The Szechuan menu entrees are almost all spicy dishes, so don't expect typical Chinese dishes here. That's the style of Szechuan, so I personally think it's great. Don't expect to get beer or wine. No alcohol is served. We had a couple of appetizers to try. We got: - spicy cucumber (PSA: be extremely careful if anyone at the table is wearing white: The chili oil will stain) - Summer rolls For entrees: - Pho6 Special - Crispy chicken banh mi A couple in our group had the green tea bubble tea and they are bubble tea veterans. Those drinking it said it had a different texture for the tapioca bubbles; they were less chewy and a bit tougher than you would expect. They need to fix this. Another in our group had the passion fruit punch and said it was very tasty and sweet. The spicy cucumber had a great chili crunch and is heavily doused in chili oil (and I think I also tasted sesame oil). The summer rolls tasted very fresh and light, but were rolled a bit too loosely and fell apart during your first bite. (Hint: try dipping them in the spicy cucumber chili oil instead of the peanut sauce). The crispy chicken banh mi was very heavy on the Mayo and the chicken wasn't crispy. The baguette was crispy on the outside and light on the inside, as it should be. This one also needs some work. I think the biggest disappointment was the Pho. While it tasted ok, there was very little flavor to it. The beef was flavorful, as was the pork. The broth itself did not taste like pho I have had in other authentic Vietnamese restaurants and was quite bland. They should be able to fix this. Overall, this is a very welcomed addition to the area and has great potential. I hope to go back in a few months and see how they have managed these recommendations. Remember to tip well. read more

It's a joy to find authentic Vietnamese food anywhere in this area. The joy is even better when the food is this good.... This unassuming restaurant sits in a patch of new foodie havens, this one attracting the hungry with the lush smell of pho and the prospect of a very tasty dinner. The room stretches back, long and narrow, ending in a small but pleasantly arranged Formica modern dining room. A few people seemed to be enjoying their meals; I opted for takeout. Takeout is a good choice with Vietnamese food. It doesn't seem to mind sitting quietly while all the plates are arranged and it reheats surprisingly well. Our bowl of pho came with extra bean sprouts, a few slices of jalapeno and a nice bunch of rich Thai basil. The generous broth was intense and lush, as it should be. I opted for the Pho6 Special which came with generous amounts of Angus eye round and brisket plus short ribs and meat balls. Wow. All tender, all distinctly tasty. Alicia, ever the saner of us, chose the healthy vegetable pho with tofu, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, and mushrooms in a dense vegetable broth. A very tasty choice. If that were the end of the menu, I'd still happily return for seconds. Instead this menu goes on with noodle and rice dishes. banh mi (sandwiches) and a whole page of Chinese (Szechuan) entrees.... I have ordered takeout and dined in at this restaurant and I was very pleased with both. Ive had the classic, braised beef and fish banh mi and all are delicious are are worth the 11-14 dollars you pay for them. The baguette is good and there is a good amount of filling inside-- the only thing better would be to have some chili oil available st the table to add inside, but there is sriracha and hoisin sauce tableside. The beef pho was pretty good and the mouthwatering chicken was tender and covered in delicious chili oil-- it would be perfect if they served it with some rice. Hostess was extremely attentive and greeted us and seated us quickly Our server took time to go over the menus and share popular dishes in each category . The pineapple fried rice had Vietnamese sausage and sweet pineapple chunks that were not super tart and very mild the sausage was amazing and the rice cooked perfectly. I discovered this place while visiting family in the area. Now I make sure to drop by every time I visit the area. The service is great but you go for the food. The Phó is excellent but it doesn't stop there. Every time I go, I bring other people for their first time and they love it. The spicy cucumber salad is a delicious start but everyone has enjoyed the different dishes from the fried rice to the Bahn Mei short rib sandwiches. My issue is I just love the Phó so much I found I have to stop by on additional days for lunch to try other things on the menu. Never had anything bad here. Great job. But in balance, my only complaint would be not enough sides (fresh herbs and beans sprouts) come out with the Phó compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. Love this place. read more

Amazing food. My friend and I go here weekly. We order the pork fried rice which comes with chunks of porks. Delicious!. And we have the Mongolian spicy beef. The appetizers are yummy too. Try the Vietnamese lettuce wrap stuffed pork dumplings. You roll these yourself. The steamed dumplings are so good with the hoisin sauce. We have also had the chicken wings. Who doesn't like wings?
