I've been coming to china gate since middle school (31 years old now) and it's my preferred Chinese fast food spot! Chowmien noodles are always tender and sweet. Beef and broccoli also tender and beef is so delicious. Orange chicken is the "BOMB"! Can't comment on the rest of the food picks because these are my usual picks besides the fried rice, of course. I have tried the teriyaki chicken and potato with chicken, it's really good. Customer service is always a pleasure. Always welcoming. And of course enough chairs and tables to sit with family and friends to enjoy your meal. Reasonable pricing as well. I always spend less compared to other places. The cook needs to reassess his cooking. The food taste is ok, however the food is over cooked. The rice is dry and the chowmain is over cooked. It's just way too cooked and soft and it will not fill you up. I've eaten in many Chinese restaurants and the chowmain is never this over cooked. Hopefully the management speaks English and takes the criticisms to improve the store, because it has potential. I'm sorry but they need to improve the cooking or they will close down. This is the best place for you if you want Chinese food! Although it doesn't have a really good rating, but I still tried and it did not disappoint me! I have always been to Panda Express before coming here and let me tell you, everything is fresh! especially the orange chicken, and the portions are much larger than Panda Express for a cheaper price! The food's always fresh and hot as they keep cooking these dishes time to time to make sure it is fresh as you order! Sign says they close at 9 every day, walked on at 8:30 and everything was already packed away and clean up for closing was almost done, which to means they closed way earlier then their hours state. It's really sad that the food quality has gone down SO MUCH. It has swapped ownership recently (about 3 years ago?) and its never been the same. It used to be SOOOO DELICIOUS. Horrible!!!!! Do not buy!!!!! Paid $45 for a wonton soup and a combo plate! I ordered through postmates. 1 shrimp puff 1 beef chow Mein 1 shrimp fried rice 1. I received regular fried rice, noodles only chow mein. Coconut shrimp some other shrimp and I guess a mixture of whatever soup they had me threw it all together. Shrimp puff description is barbecued pork, shrimp rolled in bacon and deeper fried in batter that was no where to be found as well I have attached pictures of what totaled to be $8 for shrimp fried rice, $7 for wonton soup $7 for beef chow mein in which ultimately was a stupid combo plate worth probably $6.99-$7.99. And I was charged as if they were separate orders. Plus all the fees postmates charge and the delivery fee. Horrible. Wish I can give zero stars.
