Food was fresh, enough flavor to finish my meal, but not left with a need to ever try another dish again. I had the Three Flavored Kung Pao, Skrimps, beeg and chicken. I ordered delivery from My Home Chinese Restaurant, and I will say they handled it well. They perfectly packed everything, allowing for food ventilation and it was still hot when it arrived to me! I will try them again because there are so many positives in the execution and preparation. The chicken pieces were plump and juicy, with crisp outsides and the shrimp were equally well done. However, the sauce for both lacked just a bit. Neither the lemon sauce for my Lemon Chicken or the honey mayo sauce for my Crispy Walnut were delicious. Both felt lacking in the spice and flavor department. All the elements were there, just need actual editing in these two recipes. They lacked any real flavor and the Crispy Walnut Shrimp sauce was a bit too watery. I wasn't too happy with my fifty dollar meal from My Home, however, they are so close! One of my favorite Chinese restaurants to order from. My favorite is the Mongolian beef but today I wanted something different and ordered the orange chicken...it did not disappoint. Big chunks of battered perfectly cooked chicken in a tangy sweet orange sauce. Each entree comes with a side of steamed white rice. This is my favorite Chinese takeout spot in the area! I love a family-run business and the fact that they deliver is so ideal. There are no greasy combo plates here - only full-sized, quality entrees. Every entree we've ordered is always delicious, and I recently tried their Ma Po Tofu dish and it was a hit!!! I've honestly never ordered anything from here that my family didn't like. It's always a hit and one of our go-to comfort meals. The restaurant itself is small and cute, they also sell boba. We ordered the kung pao chicken, my home special, salt and pepper fish,, and combination fried rice. The my home special dish did not look anything like the picture, it was too much watery brown sauce that tasted weird and lacked flavor. The Kung pao chicken tasted dry and old and the flavor was also lacking. The salt and pepper fish was too salty and too much batter with little fish filling. The fried rice had very few shrimp and whole pieces of meat , guess they were too lazy to dice the meat. Overall, the food lacked flavor and tasted homemade like its name. I read the reviews before ordering my food and now i think I won't go by reviews. I ordered orange chicken and fried rice. They charged me $4.00 extra for fried rice. This was the worse fried rice I have ever had. It looked and tasted burnt. It tasted like they fried the rice in old dark oil. Also, what sort of Chinese restaurant doesn't give fortune cookies? Been a long hiatus away from this place. Simply put this place is in competition with other local businesses and haven't found a need to drive here to get my Chinese fix. Well today came here because Peking China had a fire and is currently closed. Ordered 4 items and luckily I checked my order before leaving this place because I got the wrong order for one of my items. The king pao shrimp somehow was confused and was given some sort of breaded shrimp that looked like sweet and sour. I came in and the guy tried to convince me it was correct. I told him no it was wrong and he took it back and redid the order. To me order accuracy is so important. Who has time to return to replace an item. Yay or nay? 1/2 Best Chinese food I've had in the area. The only thing that wasn't great was the consistency. One time when we ordered everything tasted fresh and delicious but on another visit the quality was much lower. My family mentioned to me that on one occasion when they went to pick up the order only one person was there. One person was taking orders and cooking everything. Being understaffed can definitely cause issues with consistency so I hope they get more people to keep the quality consistently good. This is my first time trying out this chinese food and wow. I must say that I am impressed. The taste of the food was amazing!! I ordered shrimp chow mein, shrimp fried rice and 5 pc egg rolls. My daughter is usually very picky with the chow mein, however, she loved these. That's how I know they were good lol it had the perfect flavor and not too many veggies which i loved because I usually have to pick those out for my daughter lol I didn't order without veggies because i like the veggies. Anyway, shrimp fried rice was also amazing, i did feel it was a bit heavy on the sodium but it was not too over powering. I got the veggie egg rolls and i was not impressed....idk but the inside was too mushy for my preference but other than that the food was great! I will definitely be coming back. Prices are low if you order over the phone or in person, and their food has the right amount of salt and oil. Not too oily or too salty like nearby competitors. I used to order from this restaurant quite often and after receiving my order last night I was VERY disappointed. We ordered the "Home Special" through Uber Eats. The dish did not depict what the description said or pictured on menu. There was a weird rubbery item that I have never seen before. It grossed me out and we ended up tossing in trash. Never ordering from here again. I was unable to get a refund because apparently Uber eats determined this matched the menu item. Have no idea how this reflects the item description/picture.
