Didn't know it was carryout only, but we came from Beaver Dam, and wanted to try it anyway. We were not disappointed! I have to say that this was one of the most delicious meals I've had in a long time. I got the chicken with green beans, and it was simple (in a good way), fresh, and very tasty. So many times I've ordered Chinese dishes elsewhere, and they have a lot of "filler" ingredients and veggies that weren't on the menu. That's not the case here. It was just fresh tasting green beans, delicious tender chicken, and a yummy mildly spicy sauce. Simple and perfect. My partner also liked what he ordered (Kung Pow), and I think their egg rolls are some of the best I've had, as well. Best Chinese food I have ever had. we won't get from anywhere else. owners are super nice.

With them being the only place open in the Beaver Dam area during COVID-19, I was hoping that they would have good food. I ordered Chow mein, pork, and General Tso's - extra spicy. The chow mein was flavorful and hot in temperature. The General Tso's was fairly spicy, and nicely sauced. The staff is extremely nice, and they got my food out quickly with how busy they were. I have lived in the area for almost 10 years and just recently tried the restaurant through a group meal at work and was pleasantly surprised. The inside is bright and clean, the employees were friendly despite having to pick up a 15 person order. Everyone enjoyed their food! The lunch specials are great and you get a lot of food. Well worth a drive from Columbus, the best Chinese food in the area, even better than anything Madison has. Portions are huge, lots of take home, also the owner and her daughter were so friendly and cordial. We will be back whenever we have the craving for Chinese. Would be even better if they offered combination dinners in the evening. read more

Lived in Watertown for six months and this is definitely the best Chinese food in the greater area. Great spring rolls, crab rangoon, and chicken and broccoli. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is SO friendly! They also serve very fresh fruit (delicious oranges) when you eat in. Definitely recommend for a quick lunch to go or to meet up with friends. She goes out of her way to make everyone feel like family; and like me, she remembers a vast majority of her customers. The food is WAY better than the previous two owners. My guy and I stopped in at the China House for a late lunch a couple days ago.... he had Sechuan Chicken, I had Sesame Chicken and steamed rice. Our food was exceptional and delicious. DISAPPOINTED. Went for dinner and when we placed our order, we were told that the kitchen wasn't making a certain dish at that time. It was too complicated to make and they were tired. This is the third iteration of a Chinese eatery at this location; following Chen's Kitchen and XIao's. The new owners have completely remodeled the awful and drab interior of the prior two joints. It is now more of a restaurant with booths down each side and a counter at the back. The lighting is absurdly bright neon tube though. The good news is that the food is very good, judging by the carry-outs. Steamed dumplings were very good, with their own sauce. (The sauce lacked chopped onions and garlic however) Basil Chicken was excellent, with plenty of fresh cut basil and loads of chicken. Double Cooked Pork was very good with actual cut bamboo shoots and just the right amount of spice. House specials range from $10.25 - 12.95, while regular chicken, beef, chicken, pork and shrimp dishes are in the $8.95 - 10.75 range. There are also seven vegetarian dishes. Lunch specials - there are 28! - range from $5.95 - 6.50. Given the paucity of decent restaurants in the area, I gave it 5 stars. read more
