I'm surprised the reviews are not better. This is one of my favorite Asian buffets. Some of my favorites on the buffet are Mala Pork, Pepper Chicken, Spicy Chicken, Beef with Mushroom, Honey Chicken, Sweet and sour Pork, and Chicken with Broccoli and Garlic. I also really enjoy this Asian style salad which has cucumber, red onion, tomato, cilantro, and a sesame oil dressing. A selection of ice cream is featured in addition to the desert offerings. Prices are reasonable. Lunch is currently $13.00 all in including tax and drink. Dinner starts at three. I think it's only a few dollars more but, I'm not sure. Proudly, I am a repeat customer here. With good reason. I know when I eat here, I am eating very healthy. There is a lot of food to choose from. Sea food, chicken and other meats, rice vegetables and more. The location is fantastic with plenty of parking. The staff is very professional and mature. Cold food and building needs to be cleaned badly prefer to a different place in town where the food is hot

This is a great spot in Beaver Dam if you are looking for a buffet style meal, the price is pretty reasonable and increased but (makes sense due to inflation). My friend Kiet as you can see in the picture is Ming's #1 fan. The wide range of food from sushi to noodles to desserts and fruits makes this place so nice. The only reason why I wouldn't give this place a 5 is because of the ambiance is not my vibe and I don't really like that it's not always the cleanest place to eat at. The seafood isn't the best and I've gotten a few stomachache but I don't expect it to be gourmet. Ming's Garden ! ! ! This restaurant is absolutely amazingly fabulous ! Talk about variety at the buffet table. For a very reasonable price, you could not ask for any more quality, variety and comfort of convenience. The quality of the food depends on which cook is there. There isn't much uniformity of the dishes of each time I visit. That's the downside. The food can be very greasy too. It can be very good but if it's bad you might spend the rest of the evening in the restroom. Sometimes the muscle shells are over cooked and rubbery. Other nights they are made perfect. It's my favorite place to dine in Beaver Dam though. I just wish it wasn't so much hit or miss. There are several things to choose from including American cuisine such as pizza, hot apple pie, and many flavors of ice cream. Some of my favorites are the breaded shrimp, the hot cheese crab salad, and the egg rolls. You will get a much better deal eating in rather than the carryout. read more

Outstanding food, every time. No better Chinese food around. Every time I come to Beaver Dam my wife and I eat here.

Coming here with a friend reminded me why I don't eat buffets. One plate full and I could only eat half. So, I did not sample that much and Never made It to the soup and salad or dessert tables. It was About $8 for lunch including your drink and they certainly had enough to offer. I did appreciate the fresh shrimp (peel and eat) and it was nice and cold. These rest of the food I sample was hot and average as far as any other Chinese Buffets I've visited. If I do go back I think I would order off the me it's they do have a full menu to choose from and I would imagine you can order for carryout too. read more

We stopped by for lunch on a Sunday. I loved the selection of food. I ate so much that I didn't have room for any dessert. The honey chicken was delicious and I kept going back for more. Next time we visit, I'll make sure to save room for dessert. I love that this restaurant is downtown too. Gives you time to walk off all the food you ate and enjoy some shopping. There is also a nice seating area located at the corner where Ming's is. You can enjoy the metal artwork and take a picture with the beaver statue. read more

That was the best Chinese buffet I've ever had. Not that I've had a lot of experience. I have to admit, due to bad food at other Chinese buffets, I tend to avoid them. But my Mom told me about Ming's Garden Chinese Restaurant in Beaver Dam, Wis. It's her favorite places to eat. So, since I couldn't spend Mother's Day with her I took her out for lunch the Friday before. And I was very impressed. The food was fresh and delicious. The variety of items was very impressive from your typical Chinese-American delights like sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken to Japanese sushi to Korean kimchee to American pizza and sliced ham. My favorite was the egg foo young - it was by far the fluffiest I've ever had. The polite staff cleared our plates as soon as we finished and kept our Pepsi's topped off. Being a vegetarian at a chinese buffet is a bit like being a fisherman in the desert..despite chinese cuisine having a lot of meatless options, there is always a stupidly low amount of meatless options at the buffet tables. Surprisingly, even the Egg Foo Young had pork(usually I can count on this). My other 2 typical options were there per usual - Vegetable Lo Mein and Egg Foo Young. Between these two things, I thought the food was pretty good..unfortunately thats all I can really judge anything on. Both tasted quite well for it being 'end of buffet time'. May not be the best Chinese restaurant but has a good buffet. I have heard people say bad things but overall not bad. Bathrooms are not all that clean. Not the exact best selection and the price is a bit higher than I would like to see. But I like a buffet and there are no other options in Beaver Dam. I love Chinese buffet but this place isn't very great. I only found one type of shrimp that was tasty and all the different variations of chicken went very good. Been here 5 years ago and it was horrible. But this last year i've been here a couple of times and the food has gotten better. 3 long tables. One just american food. One fried appetizers and soup and the other rice and entrees. Then a dessert table with cakes, cookies, banana pudding and salad items. Also ice cream in tubs. A lot of dark meat chicken thou. They keep most of the food stocked well. They refill drinks with pitchers with no ice. You end up with warm soda. Yuck. The staff isn't friendly. No happy faces and don't say much. Took my daughter here for dinner. As far as Chinese Buffets go, this one is way up there. The decor is typical, but the food is outstanding!; I could eat here all the time! The price for the dinner buffet was high, considering if is the same food at lunch and breakfast... The prices could be lowered and I am sure they'd still make a profit! The food is that good. The staff speaks little English which makes understanding the check-in/check-out procedure confusing... I also get the feeling the manager is always watching the customers like they are about to slip some chicken fried rice in there purse or pockets... So that's kinda weird. The food here is of about the about the same quality of many Chinese buffets - it's just okay. There are a few better dishes though; the mei fun and crab rangoons are my personal favorites. Sometimes I just order mei fun to go since the buffet can be a bit expensive as they recently upped their prices and there isn't an extensive selection. Your drink is included in the price though so that does offset the cost a bit. Certain members of the staff aren't always the friendliest either, not overtly rude, but they don't come across very welcoming. When I lived in Beaver Dam I would frequent this place and as far as buffet's go, it was very good. I went there during a recent visit and the service has taken a sharp decline. The wait staff seemed bothered we even walked in, and the waiter we had was extremely rude. If I wasn't with family I would have walked out. read more
