I was debating between 3 and 4, but I think 4 would be more fit. People are very nice here, and they will take care of your orders. The place is relatively clean. Food quality is ... quite average, or slightly below. But it's cheap and fast, so I think about it as fast food and it's quite good for that standard. I also adjusted for the area of Allentown. I ordered for pickup and got my lo mein dinner special quickly and was offered a choice of soy sauce, duck sauce or mustard sauce. There was a plexiglass wall with a two way door to receive your food and the cashier speaks to you through a speaker. There is no dine in seating. There are signs to wear a mask and social distance on the two benches as well as posted on the door. read more

Staying at motel 6 in Allentown. Found on Grubhub. Food was delivered fast, hot, and it was DELICIOUS! I'm a truck driver and have been all over. I can honestly say that this is the BEST Chinese food I've ever had. I know that American Chinese food isn't authentic, but this restaurant does our version perfectly. All the different flavors pop. Doesn't taste like everything was warmed/cooked in the same pan. Excellent food and delivery driver was super nice. Definitely recommend if you're in the area. read more

The best vegetable lo mein I've had in any Chinese take out a lso the house noodle soup with only cicken was amazing on a cold night like tonight ( 02/23/15 ). Their egg and spring rolls beat any take out place I have encountered in Lehigh valley. It's a small family owned business and for the price your paying you are getting a great meal. Sad to hear that some reviews were not positive but it's not easy running a restaurant and sometimes things happen in the highest rated places that no one ever makes a comment on. This place makes great food. Their wontons are delish! The soup is delish & their beef & broccoli & chicken & broccoli are good as well.

China house has now lost a loyal customer. They gave us the wrong order and did not offer delivery to bring us our correct food. We had to go back to the restaurant to pick up our correct order, and they threw a fit we did not bring back the original wrong order. (Still never once apologized for their mistake) then they proceeded to not give us the food because what I paid was less then our actual order ($4 less). I left the house in a rush and did not grab my purse (since I was already annoyed I had to run back out to pick up my correct order). The business was very unprofessional, I think they could have lived without the $4 since I was unconvinced and had to run back out. Even after we left we still didn't receive an apology. Beyond disgusted with how they treat customers, especially since we went there often. Would not suggest this place to anyone! read more

I normally don't write negative reviews but I'd be remiss if I didn't warn my fellow consumers about my experience with China House. I've eaten here occasionally over the years and always found the food less than mediocre, so it's usually an "any port in a storm" situation. Last night's take out, however, makes starvation far more palatable. The fried rice was half burned (charred black) and half was cold and raw. I tasted ...I guess I'll call them "flavors", that I have never tasted before, and I don't mean that in a good way. The Gen. Tso's chicken was unrecognizable. If I was blindfolded I would not have been able to identify this dish or even that the meat was chicken. I always give a place a second and third try before complaining about poor service or food so I did not write this review on a whim. This place has been getting consistently worse and worse with each visit. read more

Well let me tell you my dear viewers these people are theives. I placed an order for delivery many times and there was either to much rice not enough vegetables or meat. I usually tip delivery drivers however the first time i ever ordered from this restaurant before i.could even hand the driver the total amount he seen how much money was in my hand and asked me where his tip was. I was not amused, like who does that. So any other time i would order from there the same delivery driver came and i wouldnt tip and he would spit on my lawn. So yesterday i ordered from there again and i paid by credit card and i signed the receipt, my husband looked the bank account and told me that they over charged us, a ten dollar tip. Now that is complete crap. I plan on going to the restaurant tomorow and complaining. Wish me luck read more

The sesame chicken and general tso's chicken tasted exactly the same and looked exactly the same minus the sesame seeds on one. The Lo Mein had soapy/chemical taste. Driver delivered the food and dropped it while getting it out of the car. He "felt" it to make sure nothing spilled and said it was ok. Shrimp and vegetable mei fun is the only thing I would order other then a spring roll or vegetable roll. Its really good. Only place that makes it just the way I like it. Fast delivery and even faster pick up. Def my go to Chinese take out delivery place other then peking. read more
