Worst Chinese I've had. Fried rice is mid. Super small grain and is just not right. Texture is awful and taste is below average. Lo Mein. Mid. Beef is radioactive and flavor in general is just bad. I'm only giving them two stars because the service was friendly, and quick. And the price is pretty cheap for the amount of food you get. But they get a low rating because I found a piece of cloth or napkin or something of the sort mixed into my orange chicken and it absolutely grossed me out! I wish I had pictures, but I quickly threw it away. The place is tucked in the corner of the plaza, with plenty of parking. It's not really a place where people sit down and dine-in, as there are only like three tables. It's definitely a to-go spot, where most customers call in to order then come pick it up. I walked in and was greeted right away by the friendly staff who told me to take a look at the menu. I decided on a large beef & broccoli, the dinner combo with fried rice, orange chicken, and an egg roll, as well as crab wontons. The order came out pretty quick (maybe 15 minutes). They have napkins, utensils and sauces, and wonton strips displayed on the side counter for you to grab as much as you need on your way out. The crab wontons were the best part and cooked perfectly. They tasted great. The fried rice was just okay, and the orange chicken tasted good. I thought it was fresh, but after taking several bites, I see this gray flake in my food and take it out to inspect. I rip it, and see small fibers, so I assume it was a napkin or cloth of some kind. Either way, it grossed me out and I couldn't eat anymore, because why is it deep in my food. It's unfortunate because I was hoping this would be a good spot for quick Chinese to-go, but I honestly may never return. Try at your own risk. read more

It has a predictable menu, and prices were commensurate for the area. Unfortunately, those were the only things scored average. The General Tso chicken lacked crispness, flavor, and spiciness. This was my second time giving this restaurant a try and I'm not impressed. I ordered teriyaki chicken and the chicken texture was off. I didn't finish it. Pork fried rice was dry and needed any type of sauce to make it palatable and lacked flavor. The egg rolls had a mush filling. I've never had an egg roll with a mushy filling. I love the crispy egg roll wrapper, so I squeezed the mush out of it in order to eat it. I also questioned the amount I was charged. So as I'm walking in I already sense an unpleasant smell, my order was ready for me at the counter. I left a note with my online order that I'm paying inside so the transaction wasn't lengthy. I couldn't tell if the lady had an attitude or not but I'm not one to judge. Honey Chicken: The honey chicken wasn't bad at all to be honest. The only thing missing was flavor. When you think of honey chicken you think sweet, you think flavor bursting, but unfortunately this is not the case. Very good chicken though. But needs to be prepared better. Beef Lo Main: Ok this menu item will for sure not slide in my book. My first bite into it was very dry. I tried a piece of the beef and it was very unsatisfying. This is just a plane jane Chinese take out joint, no bells, whistles, you won't hear angels sing when you put the food in your mouth. What you will get is as good as it is going to get in rural GA and that is good enough for me. The only thing I didn't like was their egg rolls and that is because I was spoiled by the place I went to in Marietta, Hell if my Mom made egg rolls they wouldn't match up tp the old place. Now on to this place they give you a ton of food don't charge you a lot of money and are nice people to deal with especially during this time of year when the world is crazy the holidays are at our throats, and everybody just seems in a daze. We ordered and received a well cooked meal: House special Low Mein House Special Fried Rice Boneless ribs All were great the egg rolls were ok on taste but they have a ton of other things for my family or order to take the place of Egg Rolls. Looking for good Asian food and I found this hole in a wall place. They cook the food only AFTER you place your order. So food is fresh off the wok! The Mongolian beef was actually pretty tasty. The menu is standard Chinese takeout, if your getting a lunch/dinner special you have specify or they will charge you regular price. Im a fan of there fried wontons and wonton soup. My son loves their need broccoli and lomein. Call ahead for no wait time and don't loose your ticket number if ordering at the counter. If you do, its hell to prove you already payed for your order. (I lost my receipt and ticket #, in the 10 min I walked around the grocery store) they tried to get me to pay for my order again. Complained about chicken and they all of a sudden could not understand English well enough to make the order right. I ordered chicken and Chinese vegetables and requested brown and spicy sauce. I was not disappointed! The pork fried rice was pretty good and so was the egg roll, but the main dish was perfect. I paid $6.15 including tax so I'm a happy customer. It was enough for two meals (I have a small stomach) and so cheap--yay! The kitchen is visible from the order counter and it looked really clean. Made a food stop here on our road trip north. My parents had been here before so I didn't think to check yelp first. Bad idea. We got the kung pao chicken, beef with garlic sauce, and shrimp fried rice. I don't know what went wrong today, but everything was pretty bad. The kung pao chicken was WAYYY too salty. As soon as I put a piece in my mouth I spit it out. It was like a pure salt ball. Chinese food already has a baseline of saltiness, but this was too the extreme. The beef with garlic sauce was somewhat redeeming, but the flavor was definitely off. Not spicy, not garlicky, a little sweet, a little soy. The sauce was also really viscous, almost a jelly texture. Even a little fruit fly flew into my fork and got stuck (ew). At least they added a good variety of veggies. The shrimp fried rice was practically just fried rice. Trying to find the shrimp was like a treasure hunt. And we got the small! It should not be that difficult... To top it off the rice was bland. They should've used the extra salt from the kung pao chicken in the fried rice. On an unrelated note, it seems like this place is really popular and mainly for take-out. While they do have a few tables set up, everyone that came while we were eating ordered to go. Oh those poor souls who think this is good Chinese food, and it was a LOT of people. Yes, of course it's greasy. If it isn't greasy you should ask for your money back. I also seen someone complain about Chinese food being salty -- consider that someone is complaining about salt content in MSG-Laden Chinese food. Give the place a chance, and expect it to be exactly what it is. Solid chinese take out. (I usually get sweet and sour chicken, or sweet and sour pork, or spare ribs. All great. Decent Chinese place for Camden County. It's a big portion size for the price-size of 2 meals for me. It's roughly $8 for lunch. The cheese wontons are great. I usually get General Tso's chicken, spicy chicken, or the sweet and sour chicken. The lady that is always taking orders is nice. I am a military spouse and have lived here for 5 years. I've been coming to China King since we first moved here and it has always been fast and delicious. When it comes to grabbing a quick but amazing dinner on the fly, with hungry kids and husband waiting, they never cease to accomodate my needs. I order and then leave my place in St. Mary's and I never have to wait. In and out and back home before u know it. Unlike some of the other greedy places in town, they offer their military discount 7 days a week. That means a lot since this is a Navy town. Also, the 2 girls that take food orders are very pleasant and knowledgeable off the menu items. The language barrier isn't an issue and they always double check your order in your presence before u go. Service with a smile goes a long way for me. The only thing that could be better but would probably cause their revenue to triple and overwhelm the place, would be if they had DELIVERY! I've been pushing for it but it looks like an indefinite maybe. That said, China King has become a Camden landmark and continues to nourish our hungry and our cranky, tired, busy, hungover, outnumbered, peckish for chinese, or just plain lazy citizens with warm comfortable deliciousness in a way that only they know how.
