The food at this establishment is by far the worst I have ever tasted. The rice is not fried, it is soggy and filled with soy sauce, no egg, no vegetables. My husband and I ordered scallops and steak, they were like chewing bubble gum. None of the seafood is fresh! My daughters ordered shrimp and steak, the shrimp was old tasting. And to make it all worst, they drench your plate with teriyaki sauce to cover it all up. Maybe my expectations were too high but after visiting establishments like Benihanas-Michigan & Atlanta, FujiYama-Jacksonville, and Wasabi-Douglasville, GA this was by far the worst food ever. Wasabi is always a go-to with my family when I'm in town. I always order the hibachi steak and shrimp with fried rice because I love it. This particular time my steak was a bit overcooked, but usually it's cooked perfectly. The restaurant was full this day and there was a 10 minute wait. But the service is always great and the staff is accommodating and friendly. The hibachi steak & shrimp comes with mixed vegetables of carrots, onion, and zucchini. I was impressed with the decorum and there were a lot of people sitting inside the restaurant. I ordered 4 veggie sushi rolls and veggie tempura. My order totaled $22, which I thought was pretty inexpensive. Come to find out, I was actually given one more roll than I'd asked for. I didn't realize that until I got home but at least the roll was vegetarian! Avocado & cucumber roll, avocado roll, sweet potato roll and a veggie roll (carrot, broccoli, avocado and cucumber). Overall the food was pretty good and it came with enough shrimp sauce and soy to last for two people. We got a LOT of food for the price. The location is decent and it's easy to find parking. Staff are completely awful. One of the teenagers is standing behind sushi line, where they're preparing food, eating. The dad is up front by register getting on to one of employees to the point of the lady just crying. He still going off in their native tongue to this poor woman. They don't like white people. They are not remotely concerned with filling orders or even helping people who door dash. Rude and unprofessional. Ever since Wasabi opened its door since like 2010 it's been a solid place to get some sushi in a sushi desert town. Nine years later and the only sushi restaurant in town continues to keep up the good work. I stopped in here after watching a movie with my family while I was in town Mother's Day weekend. We were sat very quickly. My boyfriend ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi, my sister ordered the veggie fried rice, my brother ordered the dynamite roll, and I ordered a jaguar roll and a spicy tuna roll. The food took a bit to arrive but I noticed there was only one sushi chef and the restaurant was very busy. The sushi was great! No complaints. My sisters veggie fried rice was huge. I couldn't believe a plate the side of her face was only $6. Overall a solid place to check out! I also think the prices here are fantastic. This might be me being too used to the Miami restaurant mindset but our check for 4 people was about $45. read more

The sushi here was good. The quality of the fish in the roll was fresh, no fishy aftertastes. I ordered the white tuna sashimi and it was oddly cold. It was so cold it almost felt like it just got thawed out. I felt like the rolls were generous once it came to the fish, too. Overall, i would maybe come back again. I have been going to Wasabi for YEARS! I love their food. They have a great selection of sushi at an affordable price. They closed down to take out only when COVID hit and unfortunately they said they will remain a take out only restaurant which is unfortunate. However, I still highly recommend them. The restaurant is disgustingly nasty. It has grease and dust all over the front entrance and the decor. Food is pretty good. The amount of sald has decreased a little more everytime I go in. I literally can count pieces of lettuce. Kind of shocked they are still open after being blasted online for having bowls of rice sitting outside by cars to cool. Quality of food has also decreased. A couple rolls I've ordered are not the traditional rolls (I ordered a philly roll with is traditionally made with salmon but they use imitation crab).
