I have a few meetings I can't miss so I relied on a delivery service. I don't think it had anything to do with the food quality though. I ordered general tso's combo plate with a veggie roll. Additionally I ordered veggie lomein for tomorrow, more on this in a bit. The dish looked like Generals chicken, but had a weird smell. I tried a piece of chicken and was put off by a chewiness one doesn't expect with chicken. I thought it was just that piece so I tried another. Nope, gross chewy texture. The sauce wasn't spicy at all, but sticky sweet. Also, the rice had a very weird flavor. Blech. So much for that craving. The egg roll was actually pretty good if somewhat soft. The flavor was pretty decent. This is where we come back to the lomein. A single egg roll and 2 pieces of chicken aren't really enough so I was very grateful I ordered an additional dish. Sadly, the lomein was seriously soupy. Just over flowing with soy sauce. Just ..gross. Well, it's not the best health wise so I'm glad for the result. I am now completely off Chinese food.

There was a vague chemical-ish taste to some things -- not in a very bad or dangerous way, just some very subpar unnatural ingredients that are exposed. The food was nice and hot, and I didn't get sick, so that low bar was easily cleared. Also, the person at the counter was friendly in a business-like manner -- the comments about poor/unfriendly service are clearly balderdash. But, the food could really be improved. I can't imagine it's the best Chinese food in Mebane (not counting the handful of Chinese-ish dishes at the non-Chinese Asian Harbor, which is excellent), but maybe it somehow is. If given no other options, sure, I guess I'd eat there again, but it's not ideal.
