Food was ok, service was terrible staff is extremely rude. I noticed a service charge on the bill when I asked they said it was the "tip" 9.5 % not much but it's the principal of it all at least post the service charge on menu's l. Walked back to table and collected the $15 I had left for a tip and instead just gave them the $5.66 that blinding charged me. Will not be returning here and it was like a sunna in there. Arrive on a sunday at opening time. All foods were fresh. Pretty average to me. I Didn't take advantage to the hibachi grill which looked great. I usually dont know what to mix... Only one kind of sushi which was pretty fresh and just OK. Your average buffet. Nothing stood out for me, accept maybe the soups and steak. Loving the wonton soup. Sweat and sour soup was flavorful. I have to say some places need to take some advice from the service this place gives. We have been coming here since our son was born, and the servers alway greet us with smiles and kindness. They are always on top of cleaning up the plates and filling the drinks and we normally never have to tell they what we want to drink because they remember. The food is tasty at prime times, and has a good variety of selections for a buffet. Buffet is always clean and the bathrooms are clean as well. read more

Use to come here all the time with my family but the last two times they tried to make us pay for more. The first time she asked us if we wanted refills on our soda and we thought it was free but as soon as she brought the soda to our table she also handed us the bill with the extra charge of refills. The second she tried to charge me $10 extra when I paid with my card and I saw that it wasn't the total on the receipt and brought to her attention that it was only $84. The extra ten was not a big deal but the fact that she acted confused until I asked to see the receipt that she took when I handed to show her to pay. I have been here before and thought the food was so good but this time was not that same experience. The Thai shrimp & green beans were so salty that I couldn't eat it, the peanut chicken was so over fried that the chicken was tuff. The jello had a very strange texture not at all light and smooth. The staff, including the manager, they are extremely rude and unfriendly, they don't care one tiny bit about customer satisfaction! The food was disgusting ! I've been a customer here since they opened, although not sure exactly how long ago that was but at least during the early-mid 2000's including after a fire that closed down the restaurant for a few months then re-opened. It's a buffet obviously & as such one I've found to be the cleanest, mist reasonably priced with always the freshest & tastiest foods at proper temps regardless of how busy or not they are. Albeit they are less than obvious about when they'd like you to leave & be done & on your way & lack in the friendly make you feel overly welcome dept so to speak they do make up for that in the fact you get great food all you can eat for an extremely fair price -at least that Ive noticed the 50+ literal times i've dined there. Lets not forget they have a great, top notch Mongolian BBQ I believe is included in the price although I prefer the buffet myself, my 9yr old son loves to create his own & enjoys especially tipping the cook who finishes his creations -which at times are as entertaining as Benihana or other far more expensive similar restaurants that in the end are providing you with the same fresh delicious meal- its a great way to get that other family member who refuses to go to stale buffets or whatever to go along & enjoy a truly great & as fresh as it gets Mongolian BBQ. Last time I was there with my son a couple days ago arriving at 4:10pm our bill came to $18 & change plus tip for Mongolian BBQ cook & server- the latter of which again is more interested in what does it take to get you to hurry up eat & leave than be comfortable but again for what its all truly worth & what you get it's worth it in my opinion as it's subtle not obvious & actually how I prefer a buffet be vs being forced to get your own food yet still expected to tip- which we do leave 10% as they do make certain your plates & such are cleared promptly when finished... So much so that again its where you get that "ok you done now?" feeling. So if you enjoy great Chinese food, sushi rolls (although I've had salmon sushi before but a few years ago) all you can eat fresh & Mongolian BBQ at a great price & don't mandate your ego be filled with utmost attention & respect lol - this is the place to go & despite the less than accommodating attitude of the staff (again they're not rude per say unless you're one who is more ego-centric lol, if so don't go) otherwise its a great clean delicious place you will leave full & satisfied - why i give it 5 stars despite lack of smiles so to speak:). read more

Used to think this place was great a few years ago when I had a couple friends living in town. Then when my nephew and I moved to town we tried it a couple times. It was OK but nothing special. A friend took me here again tonight and the quality had slipped even further. None of the food was hot and fresh. It all seemed to have been sitting out for a while. We were there around 4:30 on a Thursday night. This is the time that everything should have been getting restocked or just been restocked. That was not the case tonight. Prices had also gone up by about $2 per person. And they only cleared used plates once while we were there and never asked about beverage refills or if everything was OK. Service never was a highlight there but now it is nonexistent. They never did bother bringing the bill to the table so we had to go ask for it at the counter. The person at the counter was rude towards us and upset with us that we didn't have the bill Not likely to be going back unless I hear great things about major changes. read more

As buffets go this food is acceptable. The restaurant has been remodeled and this is one of the cleanest buffets you'll ever visit. The food was pretty average. A little over cooked even before it hit the buffet table. A little slow on bringing out fresh food but it does move. That's how I noticed the over cooked and dry entrees. Based on previous reviews, I thought this place was going to be awesome. I was very disapointed. I came in for the dinner buffet with my Fiancé. We were waved in by a waitress and seated. The seats were all cracked up and very aged. The food was alright to say the least, but the visit here all would have been a waste I'd it weren't for the crab rangoons. The bill came to us on a tray, which my Fiancé placed his card to pay... nobody ever came to pick up the bill and we were forced to take the tray up to the front desk to pay. Been here many times in the past so here is my current review of this restaurant. Seems like this place has changed owners several times in the past ten years. And I would say the quality has gone down. The dishes are your typical Chinese buffet dishes and nothing really stands out. If you need you're Chinese fix then this place can be your ticket. One thing that stands out to me is this though. When I go to an ethnic restaurant, I would expect that ethnicity to be the ones cooking. More times than not, I see a lot of Mexican cooks in back and also the one operating the Mongolian is of Mexican nature. The flavors aren't as bold as they used to be and the dishes aren't up to par compared to other buffets. But in Oshkosh, this is one if the better Chinese buffets. Average rating for me. read more

Just going thru Oshkosh Wi. Stopped at this Chinese buffet. It was The worst place we have ever been to. We were sat down and then ignored. No water or drink refills offered. No one came to clear off dirty plates. Most of dishes, everything was very low or empty. The food that we there was overdone and hard or cold. The buffet was open for another hour .
