So glad we did because we found this place instead. We were able to get a customized option for dining that worked for us and our little picky eater. Loved the variety and the meats were flavorful, out quickly, and fresh. Their thai coconut (can't remember name) broth was so good even my son enjoyed it. Everything was clean and well maintained. Overall though the service is what sold us. We eat a lot of kbbq and the service is usually good but our waiter was exceptional. He was attentive, patient and kind. I dined here for the first time. They have games and cotton candy machines. The host is the famous robot. The menu is not 100% accurate. There are no kids meals and they offer appetizers that's not on the menu. The meat selections aren't too bad for both types of dinner. They could offer more veggies and (dipping) sauces. The banchons were emptied/low that I didn't pick any. The shaved ice was watery so I didn't have any either. Instead, I opted for the $8 cotton candy machine that was well worth the money. Very much enjoyed my visit to Molo, tried both the Korean BBQ and hotpot! - Nice selection of broths (I had Thai broth) - Clean, well organized self-service bars for noodles, vegetables, seafoods, sauces and other condiments to add to the hotpot or sip your BBQ (i forgot to do pictures for the veg/noodle/meats bar) - Friendly helpful human staff - tho I enjoyed being escorted to my table by their bot! (it didnt say much) - you can also have a wonderful range of Boba drinks with your meal, I got a couple of them to go for separate charge, but forgot to take pictures. First off, the service was excellent. Amber is an excellent host. She gave us a great introduction to what hot pot is and how to use it and how to use the barbecue. The food selection is amazing. Fresh vegetables and seafood, beautifully thinly cut meats. The sauces and extras to add to your meal is large. The space itself is welcoming and clean. Late post but it is a great place to eat Hotpot. I know people are looking at KBBQ as more appetitizing and more food but Molo has everything needed for hotpot. You get the many sides and cooked foods already prepared. Don't be afraid to experiment with the sauces. Honestly worth it to go in a group! If like soups, then I would recommend going here. Honestly, impressed for being so new. Meats were good. Good cuts. Traditional self cook Korean bbq. Much needed in the area. Service was quick and easy. Friendly staff, they did not hover. Each person gets individual hot pot and there is a shared bbq in the middle. The quality is good, the service friendly. The location is decorated nicely. The price is typical for all u can eat setup. A base price for hot pot and a small uplift for to add bbq. Do both. For bbq. Get garlic and roast it. Get lettuce and use those as a tortilla. Add the house sauce, maybe some kimchi and garlic. Ambience was good. The Molo tree and cotton candy machine are unique - we would go back to try the machine but that's all. Grill area was too small for a table of 4 people. Vegetables took much longer to cook than described on the "menu" and remained on the grill through most of our visit, making it difficult to cook other items. The quality of the chicken and some of the beef was not great - stringy and gristly. Some of the meats looked and tasted exactly the same but we were told they were different. Some of the sauces seemed to be mislabeled and were disappointing. Bulgogi was good but less spicy than we've had elsewhere. Service was so-so with multiple miscommunications. It was unfortunate that everyone at the table had to have the same thing because my wife doesn't eat hardly anything and my 13 year old is the same way. The kitchen was absolutely disgusting and you had to walk right past while headed to the restroom. Spend your hard earned money else where. The top three beef choices were not even available. We had 6 people and you get 5 choices each to start with. The " plates" are these little boats with straps of meat or three or four very thin sliced pieces of veggies. When you cook many of these meat scraps you are lucky if you get one bite from a whole "plate" . One very small cook plate for 6 people to all try to cook on at once and very poor ventilation of exhaust fumes. Drinks were not very good. After our birthday guest was dripped all over and we told them no on tried to do anything until after two of our guests got tired of being wet smoked out and getting nothing to eat. 30 plates for 6 people means that at this all you can eat they brought out 5 little boats with miniscule portions . And it was not even 30 because if anyone in the party ordered the same choice you only got one boat of scraps to share between 2 to 6 people. So even if 30 that means we got only the initial serving and no mire. We had to ask for portions that were not brought out with our 1 batch. Not second serving. And when they bring you a bill for greater than 300 bucks and offered %10, not 20 or 30% and when I said that was unacceptable they said they would refund for the two that had to leave because they did nothing about the considerable dripping on them . They did not even offer to move us. THEY STILL GOT $165.00 of my money and we had a horrible time The customer is the best judge. Of course they want to act like we just did not want to pay. But that is not the case. My other friends now make fun of me for choosing and taking them to such an awful place. Two of them had stomach upset and did not feel well the next day. So I feel awful for taking them to this poorly run and unapologetic establishment. They will say they are sorry but the whole time they insult and patronize you and then respond by making false statements to rebuttal my review of my experience. I have nothing to gain. I already paid more than I thought they deserved and am not allowed to select places to eat with this group of family and friends anymore. I did not leave the place until I had paid the amount I reluctantly agreed to. Sadly they take no responsibility now after the fact for the server they previously admitted was new and made mistakes. I know what happened and 5 other guests who also posted their reviews know too. Rather than try customer recovery all they worried about was getting paid even though they were an epic failure. I love Molo Asian BBQ and Hotpot so much that I keep bringing friends to experience it with me so I have been here six times and it keeps getting better and better. The food is bursting with flavor and well-prepared and the staff has been fantastic each time. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. The mushroom tree, the angel wings, and all the little decorating touches made me feel special from the moment I walked inside. This is the highest quality food of any Asian restaurant I have been to in Wisconsin. The sauces are terrific and there's a large variety of meats and veggies. I especially love the Bulgogi beef and chicken. My favorite is the hotpot. There are four broths and the variety of meats, veggies, and noodles means you can custom build your perfect soup every time. The servers anticipated when my dishes were dirty or when I might need more of one food or even to add a different one. The green tea is a Jasmine tea and it is absolutely I've had since moving here. They have bubble tea and it's fantastic! We moved from Hawaii to Wisconsin seven years ago and there's not one day I don't miss really fantastic Asian food. My first time inside I cried because it was like being home. This place was so amazing! I visited this place with my aunt, uncle, cousin, and grandma. We all loved this place and the food tasted so fresh and well prepared. The service was amazing! Lynn was great as our waitress. She was so nice and helped cook our food because we ordered so much.
