This is your usual, food court Asian combo place. Got your standard orange chicken, bourbon, chicken, teriyaki, chicken, shrimp, and tofu. They also have a good selection of healthy and vegetarian options too. The service is quick and the atmosphere is casual. Will return if in the mood for a quick bite! read more

Visit Date: October 12, 2015 Came here with my friend for lunch on Columbus day at the outlets. Chitpole was unfortunately too crowded. This place reminds me of your classic mall chinese place. You choose 3 or 4 different menu items in a styrofoam box to make a meal out of. The food was okay, it wasn't awful but wasn't wonderfully great either. Standard run of the mill chinese mall food. China Max are lucky they are not part of a large chain in NYC otherwise they would be displaying the salt symbol against all their dishes. Both the orange chicken and the teriyaki chicken were extremely salty to the point that I felt it has a serious risk of increasing blood pressure. If someone measured sodium levels it would go beyond safe limits. Staff were miserable and not happy giving customers samples, I saw the guy in front of me having to wait while the server behind the counter tried to find the smallest piece to give him. After he sampled they were pressuring him to order quickly, thankfully he saw sense and said he'd come back later. Bins overflowing and just the whole ambience smacked of low budget, I'm surprised that in a nice outlet like Deer Park they don't impose minimum standards as had a very cheap look. Speaking of cheap just as someone else mentioned chicken cuts are cheap with gristle. With so much choice at Deer Park I'd say don't risk your health and try somewhere else. read more

Ok so commercialized Chinese food. Lol This is gonna be one of my shorter reviews as I only stopped in here because I had a hankering for bourbon chicken. Who doesn't get that craving when they see it. So I indulged. Orange chicken, bourbon chicken and white rice combo. 8.99. Not a bad price and not a bad portion. The thing that struck me about this place...there were Spanish workers who wait for it...spoke Chinese! I was amazed and quite impressed. As for the food. The orange chicken had more breading than chicken and was a tad on the dry side. It also lacked orange flavor and was more like a non spicy version of General Taos. The bourbon chicken is always hit or miss you eat some amazing pieces. You get some really burnt pieces. The white rice was tasty especially with all the juices from chicken and sauces seeping into it. This was a just to appease my tummy craving and it really didn't. Getting right down to it, this place is a big disappointment, but not for the usual reasons. I ordered the bourbon chicken with rice and vegetables (with drink, $10.70.) Now, I expected to write off the veggies, and I was right. Overcooked, mushy, tasteless - I don't really like vegetables though, so no loss. The rice was also pretty mushy, but it had taken on the flavor of the bourbon chicken, and that was actually pretty good. The sauce was sweet, but bold, and that's why this was such a bummer. They had this great taste and dropped it on some of the lowest quality chicken I've ever put in my mouth. Grizzle and stringy meat, and a little bit of bone. A real shame that the best part of my meal was the soft drink (try Barq's with just a splash or two of Fanta!) Extra star for polite staff and pretty cute decor, but I couldn't eat the artwork. read more

I don't know what other people are talking about when they say this place is gross and when people say that the workers are rude and unhelpful. However they are very nice, my sister and her coworkers get lunch there on their breaks very often the food is good quality the employees are very nice and if anyone says otherwise there's something wrong. read more

This is one of those places that you go, not because the food is spectacular, but because it's fresh and you get a decent amount. They have the large griddle/grill surface so when you come in to get the Teriyaki chicken or whatever, they toss the meat then and there on the grill and cook it. They don't cook the veggies right there like some other places, but they are fresh enough. I was one of the last people in there one night, and they were happy to fill the take away container with the rest of the vegetables and tons of chicken. For a bit over $6, it's a good meal and totally worth it. I don't know about some of their other stuff....looks like it's been sitting around for a while, especially the soups...so this review is ONLY for the fresh cooked chicken Teriyaki. Also...They apparently have a deal where if you get a combo meal, you can get an $8 movie ticket, so that's another good reason to go there! They have calorie counts on the menu...they definitely look a little low, so I wouldn't rely on them (ie. 160 calories for Pepper steak and onions while Sesame Chicken has 600...) read more

I came here after watching suicide squad next door. I needed a quick dinner around 930pm. I walked past and then decided to go in. They have me a couple of samples of the orange chicken and spare rib. Both tasted pretty good. I ended up getting both with fries rice and vegetables. I enjoyed the meal because it felt lighter than your average Chinese food. It also had good flavor. I would try this place again until I'm proven wrong. Not sure why everyone else had a bad time but i had a solid experience there. read more

But I really did not like the taro(bubble tea) like not that I didn't like it but not in a way where it was made wrong but to me I really didn't like the flavor. This place is gross, went in with family , the tables are dirty, you would think they would clean them because of Covid but the Mexicans behind the counter do not care. They do not use any gloves while serving you and make you feel rushed. The food as other people have said is drenched in sauce and is like cat food. Got the "Fried rice", General Tso's Chicken, and "Spricy Chicken" (their spelling, not mine). "Quotes around fried rice?" You must be asking yourself... Yes. That is how we who like actual Chinese food handle being served rice soaked with soy sauce and filled with peas and carrots like it was $.45 worth of Cup-o-Soup. The Tso's was decent, but I definitely would not give it a General rank, more like Captain Tso. As for the Spricy Chicken, the R was for "regret". Not in the middle as the R falls errantly in their sneeze-guard label, but instead two hours later. I was in Tanger outlets and we stopped into the food court to get food...to make a long story short..I got the bourbon chicken, it was raw so I took it back and got the general taos chicken instead...I got back to my table and saw I had the same issue..I took it back to the lady and she told me I couldn't get my money back because she already exchanged it once..So at the end if it all I am stuck with a 12$ tray of half cooked chicken that I have to toss in the garbage..GREAT read more

Dirty disgusting place. I have eaten here many times while shopping at the outlets, but after this visit NEVER again. I picked up my plastic utensils which had a dark hair on them. And then dug into my lo mein which I was sharing with a friend only to find a LONG dark hair mixed in. I almost barfed and my friend went up to complain, no compensation or apology was offered.
