Had kinwah for dinner tonight- was a little hesitant to call at first ( not many reviews) But glade i did. I had general Tso Chicken which was very good but a bit too spicy ( next time i order will definitely ask them not too make it too spicy) wife had sweet and sour pork which was very good - service was excellent,order was ready within 15 mins- as promised. I Always have general Cho's chicken with boneless ribs! i have bean eating here for years and Food is always Great!!!! I have to give them a Big shout out I gave the delivery guy 100.00 for 45.00 check! I left him 10.00 tip for delivery ! I didn't realize that extra 100.00 bill was stuck together so I actually gave him $200.00 not realizing they called me up and told me that i gave them an extra100.00. can't thank them enough for there Honest... we need more places like this in Farmingdale and I would highly recommend eating there Food.. thank you again for your honest. read more

Very good takeout delivered fast. Staff is very friendly. This restaurant serves a very Americanized, 1990s-style of "Chinese" food, but it's yummy. Extremely comforting in a nostalgic way. It was my first time there. The price is good for the amount of food they give. I ordered the sesami chicken with pork fried rice and a can of soda, the total was $8.64. My order was really good and cooked in a descent amount of time. The place was not physically catchy but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and the food was good so thats what mattered to me most. read more

I'm trying to find the most diplomatic way to say about this places quality: it's just awful. When you order from any Chinese takeout places, you usually check your finer palate at the door. That being said, there are some basic expectation such as: freshness, properly cooked food and don't mess up the order. First the good: our office got everything we ordered and the girl was pleasant over the phone (Hence the extra star) Now the not so good: - fried chicken wings are still raw in the middle. - pork fried rice: they either reused the same frying oil over and over again, or they stuck stale rice and tried to mask the freshness with heavy soy sauce. - spare ribs: dry and stale...used a lot of sauce to mask stale meat. Think thick sauce coated jerky. They may be able to fool some people, but most of LI'ers are already well versed in these 1990 cheap tricks. In the long run this is the typical "penny wise dollar foolish" syndrome. read more

There's something about the sesame chicken at Kin Wah that brightens my day. I never order anything but sesame chicken. Pork fried rice comes with the combo, but sesame chicken is the star. More of a fast food type Chinese place so I understand the harsh judgement. Just get the sesame chicken and thank me in the compliment section! read more

I used to go here all of the time when I lived closer. I just went back again and it was really good. Probably one of the best Chinese joints in the Farmingdale area. Get the General Tzo Shrimp extra spicy/extra crispy. Best I have ever had! read more

I have been eating at this place since I'm a little kid. (Must be under new ownership). Haven't been there in awhile, attempted to order food from this SHITHOLE tonight. Yes, it is raining... So when I call at 6:30, I'm ok with waiting an hour for 2 combination plates that total $15. Here's what I'm NOT ok with: I call at 7:30 and say politely "hello, I ordered an hour ago, do you know how much longer it will be?" She says a few more minutes (not even asking for my address--so how does she know). I wait an additional 30 minutes. Now it's 8pm. I call again. I say "now I'm waiting 90 minutes for my delivery. Do you guys even have my order?" She THEN asks for my address. Says its on its way. To which I respond "FROM WHERE?" No answer. I tell her it's really not acceptable to wait this long and I want to cancel my order and before I could finish my sentence--this bitch hangs up on me!!!!!! I try to call back--they don't answer the phone!!!!! I call 3 more times. A machine keeps picking up. So I call from my house phone. They pick right up. At this point I wasn't polite. How the HELL do they conduct a business this way???? I am disgusted and I hope each and every one of you reading this never go there again--not because of the food, but because of the PURE LACK OF RESPECT they have for paying customers. We have been ordering from this place for a while and it has become our "go to" Chinese takeout place. We chose it bc I don't eat meat and they have a good selection of tofu dishes. That being said, tonight I ordered general tso's tofu, which is not on the menu as a combo. When my husband got home with the food, they made it into a combo with pork fried rice. After taking a bite and realizing there was pork in my food that should be vegetarian, I felt like throwing up. Ok, fine, it was a stupid screw up, I figured. So I call expecting they might deliver the correct order so I can actually eat. But no. They questioned me about whether or not I ate any of it and after holding while the lady on the phone went back and forth in Chinese with a man there, I was told I can bring back the order so that they can see I didn't eat it and then they'd replace it. Talk about horrible customer service! First they screw up the order, then they don't even correct the problem. Who the heck puts PORK in a tofu dish?!? I will never order from this dump again. read more
