This place really used to be the place to go to. But over the last 3 years I've tried to not go but always told myself it would get better. I was wrong. Went last night for sweet and sour chicken, but not sure what it was. Horrible taste, over cooked and little container of sauce. Asked for extra duck sauce and got 2. Very stingy on giving out what you ask for. But, they have raised their prices. I don't really write reviews but I've been ill all day and I'm sure it's from their food. I never get sick but within 2 hours I was grumbling. Just my opinion. I know the've had health violations in the past. But I can no longer take that chance that all is up to par. If I could leave 0 stars I would. This was by far the worst meal I've eaten probably in my life. I don't think I've ever complained before but after spending $50 on this meal I had to say something. The chicken satay was yellow and dried out, the crab Rangoon was rubbery and had no filling.. the tofu was fried yet rubbery as well.. and for being a Thai dish they didn't even use coconut milk in the green curry dish. The chicken pad Thai had nothing in it, no sauce, and the noodles were stuck together. I've never eaten at the China Panda restaurant before (I do know that it is located in Souderton Square shopping center on West Main Street/Route 113) but my family has had their food delivered many times before. I've never been the biggest Chinese food fan but I do eat it on occasion and today I ordered Beef Lo Mein. To China Pandas credit, it was a decent experience. So horribly dissatisfied. I went back after I swore to never order again from them. The last time, yah well they forgot my egg roll, they blew it off like no big deal. I order again via delivery it took an hour and a half. The driver said " I can't control the kitchen" that was not comforting. Its a Monday night, not a weekend. The wings were so nasty. I ordered my food thru Uber eats and it said 40-50 mins, ok that's fine. After about 45 mins my delivery driver sent me a message and said there almost 2 hours behind and took a picture of his dash board and said my order was delivered. I had to go on app and file a complaint to get my money refunded. I tried calling china panda 5-7 times and no answer, I understand we are in tough times but to wait for close to an hour and not letting me know they couldn't fill order is rude and they driver didn't help out either. I would stay away from this place as it's not the first time I've had an issue and if you see there delivery issues you'll understand. Sad place read more

We used to order from here frequently, but the quality of food took a serious dive over the last year. The last time we ordered, they never showed up. After an hour, we called and they said it was on it's way. 30 minutes later, still nothing. Called again, she was very rude and said they were busy and hung up. Called at 2 hour mark and they said they didn't get to it yet, but if we wanted they would start making it and be out in 45 minutes. When I called because my delivery was 45 minutes late after my most recent order, I was told that the driver was taking way longer than he should have, that they couldn't get a hold of him, but that he was "probably" on his way. When I asked for any sort of remedy (throw me a free egg roll for my trouble...something!) given I have been a loyal customer in the past, she hung up on me. So disrespectful. This is probably the worst food I have ever eaten. It took an hour to get here which would be fine if I thought any of this food was fresh or even made this week. Everything was microwaved more than once, even the fried wontons, which tasted like a sponge wrapped in microwaved bread. I'm surprised to read the negative reviews, but almost all of them involve the delivery service, so come pick it up yourself and you'll find it delicious, with a wide variety. This place is now owned by the people who ran the The China Wok Buffet, and the New China Wok. The food here was terrible before (with the original owners) and now it's only slightly better (with the China Wok owners). I remember a time when the China Wok had great food and I don't know what went wrong but the food has lost a lot of its taste. The General Tsaos and Egg Foo Young (the sauce was delicious) used to be my favorite. Now it's bland and boring. I hate when the fried rice is bright yellow and the beef is some chewy cheap sort of cow. Maybe cheaper ingredients or bored chefs? Doesn't matter, I'll travel all the way to Lansdale, Harleysville, or Quakertown for Chinese Food. read more

This place is very good. They deliver, offer pick-up, or you can eat in at their cute little restaurant. So far we have had all Thai food and it has all been good. The pad Thai tasted very fresh and had good flavor. It had a little heat (which was the perfect level for me), although I would have liked some crunchy peanuts on it to give it another layer. The girl that answers is so SLOW & has a hearing problem while I spell out the address 9 times ! Finally placed the order & gave the credit card. Low & behold the machine was down again ! If they don't want credit cards don't advertise it. Website is the same way. Not very user friendly & rejected credit card payments both times. I ordered the salmon and it tasted like it went bad days ago. Strong fishy smell right away after opening the container, it's very tough, tasted dry and overcooked yet still had a strong off taste. It's literally the worst salmon I have ever had. Japenese places charge less for salmon and it's always good, this is garbage. I paid 15 dollars for garbage. I get it, they dont want to lose money on food they paid for that went bad, but I am paying a premium as the customer and I paid for better than this. read more

After more than three and a half years in the area I've finally discovered a Chinese restaurant worthy of the name--China Panda Asian Cuisine behind O'Grady's in Telford. A roommate in college fancied himself an expert rock music critic though he played no instrument and couldn't carry a tune. "What constitutes good rock music?" I asked him one day, wondering if by hearing it described I might broaden my tastes, which tended at the time exclusively toward Seventies "soft rock". Lewis replied, "It's a song, each of whose elements--lines of melody, harmonic chords, percussion, base line, vocals, and so on--stand alone, each uniquely pleasing to the ear, but which together produce a work of art that is more than the sum of its parts." Pleasing alone and even better together. Forty-odd years later that definition applies to a great many aspects of life, none more so than Chinese food, which alone among the major cuisines results from a mish-mash of competing flavors, colors, and textures, all mixed together in one large portion. Thus does China Panda Asian Cuisine succeed where others in the region fail. Eschewing the fried and the filling, I ordered merely one quart of Hunan chicken accompanied by white rice. Famished, I waited between twenty minutes and a half hour, munching on Chinese noodles dipped in a tomato-based sweet and sour sauce that made me think to myself "Good for the prostate". Finally, after all the take-outs had been distributed, my pretty waitress brought out an oversized, super-hot plate of the colorful Hunan chicken and a bowl of fragrant white jasmine rice large enough to satisfy an appetite that almost always resorts to a second bowl. Immediately, I noticed that the greasy brown sauce typical of every other Chinese restaurant in the area (but one, the one inside ShopRite in Hatfield) was gone, and in its place was one so non-intrusive that the flavor and texture of each vegetable--mainly broccoli spears, turnips, celery, onion, bean curd, and black beans, the latter an inspired addition usually absent from the dish--emerged distinctly and complemented a generous portion of white breast meat chicken. My only criticism might not apply to the reader: Though I specifically ordered a quart because I was very hungry (a pint wasn't an option on the menu, anyway), I'm certain that what emerged from the kitchen was no where near a quart. So rather than leaving the restaurant full-to-bursting as I nearly always do (but not to the same extent I did as a teenager at Philadelphia Chinatown's South China or Imperial Inn), I left feeling comfortably satisfied but still wanting more. You know the old saw, "An hour after a Chinese meal and you're hungry again." Well, it's a half hour and I'm still full. Maybe the black beans fooled my stomach into thinking it's full. The only reason that I am only giving 3 stars is because of their delivery. The first time we ordered delivery, it took about an hour. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, maybe it was a busy night. Recently we ordered delivery again, and it took an hour and a half! We called an hour after placing the order and we were told that the driver was "on his way." Another half hour goes by and we call again, and yet again we were told "he is on his way" with no other explanation or apology. Once the food finally arrived, there was no comment from the delivery guy either. They are only about 10 minutes from us, so maybe it was just another busy night, but I would recommend dining in or picking your order up if you don't feel like waiting at least an hour for your food. read more
