Vietnam Cafe is a diamond in Telford!I I found them after moving to the area and refusing to drive an hour away to my previous fav. It's a small space, but I'm always able to get a seat once I walk in. They greet you quickly and get the order right. I love the soups and the shrimp and pork rolls. Just amazing. Unassuming on the outside but my goodness, what treasures lay inside. I try banh mi and pho in every city I go to, but none ever seems to compare to Vietnam Cafe. The ingredients are just so fresh, the portions are incredible and you can tell they don't cut corners in preparing your meal- it's just straight up delicious. I can't recommend this place enough, mind you I've only eaten here once. I showed up around 2:30, told the guy at the front (assuming he's the owner) that I was in a rush and needed something to eat quick, he said the Pho takes like 2 minutes. Boy he was not lying, it came out LITERALLY two minutes later. It was fantastic, i've had Pho from many places throughout Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia etc, this place blows it all out the water. I am happy to find an authentic Vietnamese restaurant out in the suburbs. First off, I'm impressed by the friendly service. It's common of Asian restaurants to have angry elderly wait staff. So it's a breath of fresh air to get such friendly and attentive service from a younger crowd. Secondly, the food was flavorful. We ordered duck and bamboo noodle soup and beef stew which are not commonly found at Vietnamese restaurants, especially the duck with bamboo noodle soup. Both were really good especially the beef stew. I'm excited now to try other dishes. There is so much variety on the menu. One thing, that could be better though was the battered squid. The batter was tough and flavorless. The dipping was really needed. We also ordered che ba mau dessert to take out. It was tasty. And the Vietnamese iced coffee was on point. Unfortunately I no longer work over near this place. When I did we would go to lunch here with customers or for special occasions. It's one of my top spots. Everything here is good. Theirs some pictures along the wall of their dishes with corresponding numbers to know what to order on menu .. my husband appreciated the pictures and picked a delicious noodle bowl with pork and shrimp ... we ordered spring rolls to share and i got a vermicelli soup bowl with pork wontons and shrimp ...the spring rolls were DELICIOUS!!!!
