We got the bourbon chicken (not sure how to explain but it's good, please take my word for it haha) and the general tso's (I do think it was a little bit too much breading though). We got it during lunch special - so super cheap and you also get to choose between white or fried rice, and then a soup (wonton, egg drop, and something else...) or a soda. Absolutely the worst food I have ever received. I ordered General Tsos chicken. It was seriously over fried and completely dried out. I also ordered 2 egg rolls. I can only assume they had been laying around and they decided to throw them back in the oil to refresh them. They were over cooked and completely dried out. Yelp says 3 stars is "A-OK" which I think is a good description of this Chinese American restaurant. Been coming here for my lunch break a couple times over the last few months and have ordered a few different things for myself and my girlfriend. Kung-Pao Chicken with Peanuts, Hunan Chicken, Bourbon Chicken, Pepper Steak with Onions, Beef Lo-Mein, Tofu Vegetable Soup, and Wonton Soup. To be honest, the different chicken dishes all pretty much taste exactly the same. The quality of the meat itself is very good, but everything seems to always taste under seasoned. The lo-mein was not terrible but not great either, pretty greasy. The tofu vegetable soup was really really bland, need to add salt or something with some flavor, and the mushrooms in the soup were inedible, tasted either rotten or canned. The rice is just OK, fried rice again lacks any real taste but the texture is good. Actually the best dish we have gotten is the Bourbon Chicken which I did not expect. The wonton soup is pretty good, and the prices for lunch specials is insanely good (only $5.50 for entre, rice, and soup). Place seems clean enough, staff is friendly, and the food comes out quick and correct. Nothing to write home about, but I will keep coming back because the prices are so good. read more

We decided to try Joy Inn last night. Walked in and ordered takeout - wonton soup, special lo mein & Happy Family. All delicious! First time getting Chinese there. Best Chinese we have had as long as we can remember. Will definitely will be going back again and again!!! read more

Food was ready on time. Ordered online to go but the seating area looked fairly clean so I wouldn't mind eating in at some point. You have the option to pay online or upon pickup. Huge lunch portion, definitely worth the price.They don't specify but the soup is wonton unless otherwise noted. You can swap out the rice for lo mein upcharge. Went there today for a quick dinner. Ordered General Two's combination platter. Description states that it comes with Pork Fried rice and egg roll. When ordering online, it requires you to select spicy level and rice. Only white rice was no extra charge. There was no,option for pork fried rice and all fried rices were an additional charge. Additionally, I selected medium spicy, however, there was no spice at all. Food was very disappointing. read more

DO NOT EAT FROM THIS PLACE!! I found a huge metal staple in my food, the type that are normally used on boxes! It was in the chicken if my General Tso's. Luckily I saw it before I ended up swallowing it and tearing up my insides! We called back and told them but all they did was just keep denying that they don't have those types of staples around. Eaten here twice, first time was ok and I was happy with the food. Second time as legitimately disgusting, we were the last order on a Sunday night and the egg rolls tasted reheated, my BEEF lo mien tasted like FISH So badly I took one bite and threw it out, I haven't been back since. I walked in for a take out order, so I didn't leave a tip & found the establishment opted to give themselves an almost $3 tip on a walk in, take out order. I've been a bartender for a decade, I'm not going to stiff a server, but cooks getting paid salary or hourly above minimum wage don't get to determine that they deserve a tip NOT AUTHORIZED BY THE CUSTOMER. Tried to order online at their website. Completed transaction including paying with my credit card. After over an hour of waiting, I called them and asked where my food was. They sounded confused. I explained that I ordered online.....and he said "Oh no". They tried to convince me that they would have it to me in 30 mins more. I declined and cancelled my order. I will never order or eat from the Joy Inn again! Why have online ordering on your website if you aren't going to make people food when they order it from you? This is our regular Chinese takeout spot and we have always had a good meal and good service. The meals have always been ready on time and the young lady working the phones and counter is so sweet. Tonight we all agreed that the chicken and broccoli we got from them was the best we ever had. We've always enjoyed their chicken and broccoli but tonight was exceptional! The sauce was so dark and savory and they were very generous with the sauce so there was plenty to mix in with our leftover rice. So good! read more

When I lived in east Greenville we order from here all time. I tried all others in that area . This is definitely thd best all around. Very nice staff the owner is a great guy, treats my kids and I very well. The food and portions are very well worth it. If there is a problem they are quick to resolve it. At one point I ate from there everyday for a full year. I wish I didnt move to Quakertown, I truly misd them. We even exchanged Christmas gifts every year! I still pop in for my favorite dish every now and then. They always address me by name and always know what I like , and never give me a problem when a ask for a dish to be revamped . read more

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT! I ordered using beyond menu and paid with tip included (which I have done many times). I called after waiting an hour and a half with no food. At this point it was 8PM and my kids were starving, they said it would be 30 more minutes! I had to accept it since all places close early due to the virus so I couldn't cancel the order. I called back at 8:45 and the girl answered the phone and informed me I should just cancel! I was overwhelmed at this point because my kids were swarming me begging for snacks and I was exhausted. So it didnt even register she said she would refund me $48 of a $56 order! My young children are currently eating their dinner of cereal at 9:19 at night. This was terrible would give zero stars if possible. Had high hopes after having their Wonton which included the bigger, fresh dipping noodles I like. So we got their lunch special ... my General's chicken was lousy, small breaded pieces of something with very little flavoring. One tiny little pepper. Didn't even look like General's chicken. Cmon, how hard is it to make good chicken? This looked like let's cut every cost possible. My daughter's chicken mixed vegetables was also lousy, the vegetable were again cheap and flavorless. I moved to this area a little over a year ago and was recommended to go to China Taste for good Chinese food however after dealing with a very rude lady who works there I decided to take my business elsewhere. I did a search and found Joy Inn they are closer than China Taste and their food is excellent. Everything is always very fresh and tasty I haven't had anything bad. Another great reason to try Joy Inn is because they deliver which is awesome in such a small town were delivery is rare. I order delivery from them quite often and they are always so super fast yet the food quality is still superb definitely give them a try. A word of advice when you're ordering delivery they always say about 35 minutes but end up showing up in about 10 so have your money ready and enjoy!!! read more

I ordered online, and I got a call within 5 minutes as I entered my number wrong. So they have fixed any issues with the online ordering. The food came extremely quick. Under 10 mins. Never again !! I have given Joy Inn second chances many times over now and this is the last straw. I placed an order by phone for delivery and I was told 45 min. It's been 1 hr, 15 min and I'm still waiting !! I've called twice and was told the driver will be here soon. The second time I was hung up on !! This is no way to run a business. Very disappointed. I don't know what's going on with this place, but I don't see them being in business much longer. They will NEVER get my business again !! read more

The bill came to 45.00 and when we called them they asked for the receipt number which we gave them and they said " sorry we will deliver it" 2 1/2 hours later nothing came so we called again. They asked for the receipt number which by now was in the trash covered in food that was not really that good anyway. Now they said they would not send it when we paid for it!!! This place has average food nothing special and when we told them we wouldn't eat or order from there again the said "so what"! The food is decent - when they get it right. The last 3 times we ordered, they made a HUGE mistake. When we called, they promised to deliver the right food - and never did. Tonight, my husband drove down because they gave us shrimp egg foo young instead of the chicken we ordered. Got an insincere "sorry" & then they made the correct order. But did they give us anything extra for our trouble? Nope. And they didn't the other times they got it wrong. My advice (because we will never go back) is to double check your order at the counter. You won't get any satisfaction or anything extra for your trouble. Just a shrug. Go somewhere who values your patronage because this place absolutely doesn't care.
