Not bad, just underwhelming. Like going to taco bell when you want good tacos. Are they tacos? Sure. But probably not at all like what you want when you think tacos. Mongolian Beef was the most disappointing. It looked nothing at all like Mongolian Beef. Described as "quick fried beef with scallions in exotic wine sauce." It was bland beef with no fried texture buried in mountains of onions with a sauce that tasted kind of....ketchup-y. Since Mongolian Beef is one of my favorite dishes this was a big let down. Truly it was a tiny bit of beef and about 80% thick yellow onion slices. I would not order this again. Beef Lo Mein, again very little beef. Thick lo mein noodles. Nothing bad here, just nothing wow. Mediocre. Chicken & Broccoli fine again not wow. Same with the egg rolls. Husband said his Imperial Scallop and Pork was pretty good & he would get it again. The best was the chicken wings. He said they were surprisingly good. All in all we'll probably stick with Red Lantern in future they just happened to be closed tonight. read more

This is our families go to place in Martinsburg, for Chinese Food. It's always hot and fresh food, and always has great service. Very fast! The buffet just recently reopened and we tried it for the first time-wonderful! Definitely worth the price, with lots of options. Definitely recommend ordering from here or dining in! My absolute favorite Chinese restaurant in West Virginia. I grew up eating here with my family and have a lot of fond memories at this place. The staff is always kind and generous. I live in LA now and have been searching for 10 years for a restaurant even half as good as this one and can't find it. This place is the best. I eat here every time I visit home! Best Chinese food in the area and great value. My wife and I love this hidden gem with delicious Chinese dishes. We enjoy the buffet that has a wide selection of traditional Chinese choices. My wife's favorites are the General Tsao's chicken, sweet and sour dishes, and nice variety of sushi. Mine are chicken and fresh veggies and the tasty chicken wings and egg foo young. Prices are very low for what you get and the staff is friendly and keeps the buffet refilled. Highly recommend you try it. Lunch buffet is less than a combo meal at McDonald's. read more

I dislike ordering through Door Dash because my food is always cold everywhere else I order from. I don't know what Harry Potter "expeliarmus" you do , but keep doing you. My food always arrives within 20ish minutes, it is BLAZING hot and always accurate. I've been going here since I was very young. There are hundreds of other Chinese restaurants that I have tried in my adult years and none have been as good. They have a small buffet, but they are good about keeping it filled. Owner is awesome -- he truly cares about your experience. (He also makes the sushi, which is out of this world good!) The employees who work here are super friendly and very attentive. It may not look like much from the outside but don't judge it based on appearance, definitely give it a shot. Restaurant has become primarily a buffet. We arrived in the late afternoon and approached the buffet. Just about every pan was either empty or what was present was old and cold. They didn't even have white rice out. They had the hard crisp from the bottom of the pan. Maybe one or two pans got refilled in the hour we were there. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. As if the meal wasn't bad enough we were over charged. You can find better. read more

Gave it another shot, since many buffets I have went to change over time, but my review stands. This time when the waiter picked up my almost full plate, I told him it was horrible and I couldn't eat it. He didn't look surprised and said nothing as he took the plate away. I don't know if it's the oils they use to cook with? Whatever it is, all of the food had that flavor, and the only common denominator is probably the oils. This time I took my husband, who is not picky and just likes food in general. He rated it a 4/10. read more

Yummmy!! First time eating their food was tonight. We ordered to go, so I can't vouch for the dining experience, but as far as the food I think it was great. Crab Rangoon, shrimp lo mein, fried rice, egg rolls.. Everything was delicious. They were really nice to my family who picked up the food, and threw in some complimentary donuts. Would put five stars but I feel it does deserve 4 stars, let me explain why. Here is why I did not put five stars. I ordered two large boxes of general tsos chicken. When I got there, someone must of got my order mixed up, because the lady came to the window and said orange chicken. It was general tsos chicken with lemon peels in it. I took it anyways because I didnt want to piss the people off that make my food and I generally like the place. My brother said he heard of people putting lemon peels in chicken to make it taste fresh. However the meal was very unsastisfying. Now with someone elses comments regarding keeping the items fresh and filled, I think they usually do a good job. However, there has been times I've been there and they had hard rice in the pan. And there has been a couple times the cook I would asume overcooks the chicken (general tsos) leaving it stiff and crunchy. Now as bad as all of that sounds, it has the best general tsos chicken sauce around. Keep in mind me, my dad, and brother would visit when we were younger. The place has been in business a long while and deserves to be. Their chicken lo mein take out is just delicious. And price/quantity/quality are all in great range. The dumplings are great also. To be honest this is my favorite restraunt and I like to pick up some when I'm in the area one a month. When they work on their A game this place is simply fantastic. There is a smaller selection then some big buildings. But the quality and taste is generally better here. You will definately want to give this place a try. The place doesn't look that appealing but honestly the food at their buffet was pretty good and I was pleasantly surprised. The fish tank definitely left something to be desired (aquariums are a hobby of mine so obviously I'm gonna remark on it). My fave food item at their buffet was probably the chicken on a stick, and my least fave was probably the item with the black bean sauce. For the price you can't really go wrong, I'd think their biggest competition would be China City in Martinsburg. read more

One of our friends found a piece of WIRE yes I said WIRE in her food well needless to say the rest of the evening was ruined by this.
