First time at Asian Garden and will be coming back. The sashimi and sushi were fresh and delicious and the gyoza was wonderful. I should have taken the name of one roll "Kiss of Fire" more seriously. It was much hotter than I expected. Even though I enjoyed the flavor I can't manage spice like I once could. My daughter took the leftovers home since she loves spicy food. Eating here is fine as for ordering delivery they are shady as hell. They try to blame the driver for stealing your food, when they don't even make your order. I thought this was maybe a one time mistake, but it is too consistent with them. They charge you for food that they don't even make and then refuse and fight to make it right. i ordered Mongolian beef and the beef wasn't very good. it was very fatty and had a lot of gristle. They don't serve regular tea here. Only mint tea. I hate the flavor of mint, so that was disappointing. So, I didn't like my entree or my beverage. I gave it two stars because they did a good job of accommodating our very large party and the restaraunt and restrooms were clean. 'Asian,' restaurant, which presents as a curious mix of Chinese, Thai, and Japanese. What a weird experience-- first time I've ever eaten sushi and gotten a Chinese fortune cookie at the end. I ordered seven different types of rolls or nigiri, and only one was decent. as in edible, not terrible, but won't think about this and desire it again. My boyfriend ordered the chicken pad Thai and said it was "very average." Neither of us plan to return again. This place has a very convenient location, and the service was fast. Their menu items are quite broad and there are many options. I got the chicken teriyaki box which I found very filling, with generous portions. My friend got two sushi rolls which she also found tasty. I will note that the seasoning is definitely more western friendly, more of a Chinese American type of style. The sauces are heavier and saltier than you might find in more traditional places. That said, it is not pretending to be some kind of super authentic hipster Asian place. This is a good old regular Chinese American and that's what it gives you. I will make a particular note that I appreciated the waitress taking special care: my friend has celiac disease, and any gluten even from a small amount of flour can cause her a great deal of pain. Initially the waitress was confused about this, however when I explained it further, she was able to explain which dishes were celiac friendly. When we ordered a dish that did not appear to have flour in it, she came back a few minutes later and said she had double checked with the chef who mentioned that one of the items was dusted with flour before frying, and wanted to let us know. I really appreciated that extra consideration. Prices are reasonable and they have these fun little pseudo-Japanese booths which are a nice touch. read more

While the food tasted great, it ended up sending me to the hospital. While visiting from out of state, I decided to give this place a try due to the great reviews. I had the sushi box. A few hours after eating I began to feel sick. First I threw up. Then, I began to itch all over my body. My face became hot and my lips extremely swollen. I then developed excruciating cramps in my abdomen. I went to the ER and learned that I have colitis, which can develop from contaminated food. I have no food allergies and I've eaten sushi dozens of times, mostly raw, and I've never gotten sick. This was certainly a scary ordeal to face alone while hundreds of miles from home. read more

We decided to stop and check it out after hearing rave reviews. We were greeted by a very friendly young lady and she was our waitress as well. The dining room is very clean and orderly they even have Japanese style tables if you want to sit on floor. The food selection is not overwhelming but has more than enough different selections. The sushi bar was very nice and offered lots of choices. The big takeaway however was the prepared food was not hot. Maybe because we were there at 530 but one would think that would be peak time. I went to grab a quick bite towards the end of the night. As you probably know most would lower their expectations at the end of the night cause most people are cleaning and trying to get out... or maybe it was just slow. I ordered the volcano sushi platter and beef and broccoli. The sushi was outstanding! Best I've had in a while. The food came out so fast it made my head spin. My though was... did it cook long enough!? The broccoli was cooked perfectly and the marinate on the steak was yummy. Speedy, delicious, and great service! Will def be going back here! (Ps. After moving from my little hick town on the Eastern Shore of Virginia Chincoteague with a population of 881 residents not including all the millions of visitors we welcome with open arms especially as they could easily vacation anywhere else but we throughly welcome them. Anyway my neighbor in Chincoteague was from Asian decent. His family moved to Americans in 1920ish. He is now the third generation to the only original Asian restaurant on the island. And guards his awesome restaurant with his heart and soul. After being spoiled by his touch of the Asian original food's including many times to his house for food and more food did I mention food? Anyway after two years into our move and begging him to visit he finally came. I definitely said how much I miss his restaurant and I haven't had Asian food for over two years. He immediately researched local restaurants and choose this one after talking to someone at this restaurant in Chinese I think Long story short after eating here and really enjoying the atmosphere and food we left. My friend was overly impressed with everything about this place and said to me " you now have the same tradition Asian food restaurant to go to as you did with me on the island." Best hidden gem you'll find in Martinsburg! The won ton dumpling soup is so good and their sushi is breathtakingly beautiful and so tasty! Red bean icecream is something you'll have to try to believe that true yumminess does exist! Their mochi icecream was prepared fresh too like everything else we enjoyed. Also my family of six was never without a drink. Our waitress was extremely attentive to making our dining experience perfect and relaxing. Food is good, specially sashimi box; however the young servers are not polite. They don't treat you well, don't even look at you when talking to them. I had squid salad with sesame sauce, (came without any sauce). I suggest the chefs may use grilled squid on this salad. Overall they have huge food selections on their menu. read more
