Since Covid this place has seriously taken a dive. Used to be one of my family's favorite places and have given it multiple chances but we are done after this. The food seems old, dry, and bland. This Chinese food was delicious, even in the middle of Florida's western coast! I got Mongolian Beef (to die for) and chow mein plus the dumplings. We devoured as much as we could, which was only about half since the servings are so generous, and then took the rest home for Grandma's fridge since she never gets Chinese, let alone good Chinese like this! The food was flavorful, not overdosed with spiciness. Also, it was a great value, very cheap. Just a couple suggestions: I understand most people pick up their food to go or have it delivered, but it'd be nice to have a couple real plates on hand for in-restaurant diners. I ordered here for the first time they got the order and correct they omitted certain items that I paid for and the food that I did buy was not very good the lo mein was so salty I couldn't eat it the boneless spare ribs were okay and I had also ordered a chicken dish which was absolutely horrible. I try not to follow negative comments, especially when the ratio is 50/50. I regret however that I tried this place, as all the other reviews have stated, it is the blandest Chinese food ever consumed. I ordered the General Cho chicken, something hard to mess up. They have very good Chinese food. We have had several different times and all very good. Only thing didn't like was fortune cookies and almond cookies - must buy rather than make as taste stale. But again food great and place clean and people friendly - recommend! read more

When I ordered lo mein, shrimp fried rice, and general toso chicken the food tasted as if it was poorly made or premade and warmed up . The shrimp fried rice is basically yellow rice mixed with vegetables and shrimp THAT IS NOT shrimp fried rice. The fried rice doesn't have eggs. The chicken is soft and is drenched in too much sauce. This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my entire life since I started to eat it. I don't compare this to the Japanese or the Chinese of which I have visited both countries and have eaten great food there. This was just plain old, for lack of a better word, nasty. The shrimp toast was greasy and tasted as if it has been fried in 100 year old oil as was the pork egg foo young. The egg rolls were the same and soggy and what the hell is up with the yellow rice? We also ordered the chicken wings and I was unaware that anyone could screw this up also! I should have known when I went into the establishment and the people look of Korean descent and not Chinese at all! Just awful! The spare ribs had no meat. It was all bone. The person who took my order gave me the wrong total and there was supposed to be no delivery fee but I was then charged 5$. When I called back to speak about the incorrect charge I was only supplied excuses and no resolution. I was told to read thr menu better. I was told that there was nothing they would do to make this better. Worst 60$ ever spent. I have worked in food business and customer service for 9 years and the customer service was awful. I asked if I could bring the food back for a refund and I was told no. I will never eat or order from there again. read more

This place has consistently gone down hill since it opened. The amount of meat you get is less and less each time we order... Today we ordered beef and snow peas and had 7 small pieces of beef and the rest was snow peas, carrots that tasted like wood, and bamboo shoot slices. The shrimp and cashews had 6 baby shrimp and maybe 10 cashews and the rest celery, baby corn and water chestnuts. The egg rolls tasted like they were fried in oil used for fish. I will never go back to China Wok in Apollo Beach! I should have just walked out when I saw an employee come in from picking up his kids, puts on his apron and right away goes back in the kitchen! Wrong! He never washed his hands, a huge mistake! Now, that wasn't the only issue, the food sucked! We ordered two combo meals, both came with fried rice. That is not fried rice, not even close and it tasted smokey, like the kitchen had been on fire. The broccoli had no taste. Only the chicken had some taste, and it's probably because of the sauce that was on it and most likely that came from a can. the egg rolls were like paste inside, no taste at all. We also ordered won ton soup, had lots of won tons, but again, no taste. I don't see how people can consider this to be good chinese food. Apparently, they haven't had good Chinese food. Would not recommend this place. I just hope we don't get sick. read more
