I've heard from several people just how good the food is at China Wok Express. This is my first visit and I'd say it's fairly standard, passable Americanized Chinese fare. The hot and sour soup is a notch about "just good," but the other dishes we got (roast pork with garlic sauce and vegetable lo mein) are unremarkable. I asked for the roast pork to be made extra spicy, and they said it was, but I'm not tasting much spice at all. If this is "extra," then the normal spice level must be pretty minimal. I'm going to go back to try other dishes. I'm very willing to improve my score of China Wok Express, and I hope they meet me halfway. I'm open to having my socks knocked off, CWE. Solid 4 out of 5. Quality ingredients love the baby corn on the Kung pow shrimp. The shrimp was huge lol highly recommended.

The food is disgusting & the ppl are RUDE . I called for lunch and got hung up on bc i called from my job and they block their number going to unknown number to the company and i was told I couldn't order bc my number wasn't showing up . Then I gave him my number and he told me to go ahead with my order and from that point I no longer wanted to order bc I'm paying over the phone for one and for two your trying to deny me for ordering bc of a phone number . Sometimes go here for lunch and for what they charge, you can't beat it. For $4.99(recently changed to $5.25) they give you three entrees and a side of rice or noodles. You're getting more food than the price of a Big Mac meal. Yes, the lady at the front may be short and to the point, yet it's just her at the front counter bouncing from serving people to cashing them out to answering the phone. Sometimes I do see someone come help her during peak times. Some of the reviews state they are rude - I don't go to a restaurant to make small talk with strangers, let alone with someone where there also may be a language barrier. I ordered through Doordash. So, first off, the food looked smelled and tasted pretty good and these gripes may just be small personal tastes but here they are. I ordered General Tso's chicken and specifically asked for "Extra, Extra Spicy" in the comments and "Hot" on the official prompt through Door dash; there was not a single chili or pepper in the whole order. It was not spicy AT ALL. The chicken also wasn't crunchy in the slightest; which I don't blame on my driver because they arrived at my house in less than 10 minutes. The rice was bland, and by that I mean it just tasted like soy and salt. The Crab Rangoon was good but didn't seem like it was fully fried as the bottoms were still moist from the cream cheese. Just basic Chinese take-out but it's always good. Fried and Steamed Dumplings are excellent. Egg Rolls always fresh. They're great at adapting menu items to special order a certain way, like getting extra broccoli in the Sesame Chicken. They're not native English speaking so be patient when calling ahead. They're all business, so dont get your feelings hurt if they're not "down home" polite. They get the job done well. read more

Favorite Chinese in Clarksville. Their crab Rrangoon egg fu young and dumplings are the best. Usually get the general tso and chicken with brocolli-pretty standardly delicious for Chinese take out. Singapore chow mei fun is very good and you get a huge portion. Their lunch buffet is a great deal and nice variety. read more

Really a hit or miss. Sometimes the food can be extremely good, other times it can be extremely nasty. Prices are nothing to go crazy over, a little higher than all the other similar style restaurants in the city. If you value consistency, then this is not the place to go to. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I've been coming here since the place opened, and although the lady behind the counter has always been curt, today she was straight up RUDE. My son ordered the sweet tea, and when he tried it, it was gross. I tried it thinking it was probably fine, but it wasn't. It has turned. He took it back up to the counter, and she refused to assist him. My husband then took it up and although she did finally exchange it, it was until after she made a HUGE scene saying if he didn't like tea he shouldn't have ordered it. All the other customers were looking at this point. My husband tried to explain that there was no was for him to know the tea had gone bad BEFORE he ordered, but she wouldn't hear it. Just kept saying how he should have know better and she won't do this again. The other customers in line told us she was rude and out of line, and she didn't need to be talking to people like that.
