I had the Pork Bun Thit. When I started to mix, I noticed steam coming from the noodles. It was piping hot and overcooked, so the noodles were falling apart. I called the server over and told her the noodles are supposed to be either room temp or cold. She had the audacity to tell me "different restaurants serve them differently." I told her "I've had this all over the country. They're never served hot with steam coming out." She offers to get me cold noodles, NOT to remake the dish. The second batch of noodles were cold this time and the way it should be- but I had to transfer all the pork and veggies into this tiny ass bowl. I barely ate it. My mom (Korean) got the Combo Pho. She's from Lowell, MA, where the population is about a quarter Vietnamese; so she has authentic pho all the time. She said the broth here was bland and didn't have much flavor. My daughter and I decided to try this place after reading the good and bad reviews. I got the beef vermicelli and gyoza. Daughter got the hibachi lunch with steak. She also ordered the calamari. The calamari was WAY overcooked and rubbery. I eat a lot of calamari when I go out to eat, and this calamari was awful. The gyoza was good. Crispy and flavorful.. when the beef vermicelli arrived, it was a lot of food. It looked very appetizing. However, it was bland and really lacked in flavor. I spiced it up with the hot sauce from the table and it still wasn't much better. The beef inside the bowl was good. My daughters food was bland and boring. The only thing she really liked was the fried rice. The service was just ok. Server is not very attentive. I will probably not be back. Maybe I should have gotten the Pho. We came here specifically because they mentioned gluten free options. When walking in I asked about the gluten free options and the workers seemed confused and not sure. We ended up getting the PHO with the beef broth since they assured us they didn't use bouillons. Bouillons contain gluten a lot of the time. I opted for the chicken breast beef pho. We ordered it to go and it was finished pretty quickly. The restaurant appeared to be clean but after getting home some of our party didn't feel so well. It was not terribly busy on a Thursday night, we were told to sit wherever we like. I asked the waitress to bring another set of utensil for out kid, there was only two sets for the table we picked. She never brought the set, so I ended up helping myself. The food... was honestly sad. The broth tasted closer to water. Thank god for sriracha and the oyster sauce. My dad and I were looking forward to trying this place. We got the calamari and gyoza for appetizers. The Gyoza was great! The calamari was very disappointing. As someone who comes from a place where seafood is plentiful, this calamari was hard and chewy... so it was very overcooked! I got the hibachi with the salad and soup and my dad got the beef vermicelli. My steak was cooked great! The salad was BROWN... like it is old and it was warm... and the soup tasted like dirty water. When we walked in, the place was crowded. I thought that since there were so many people, it would be amazing. My husband ordered a chicken Pho and I ordered the Bahn mi. Also, the sandwich had some wierd yellow sauce on it. No real taste to it. I added siriacha to give it the spice but it had very little cilantro and no jalepenos. I took the jalepeno from my husband. The business that is in the old place is another restaurant not affiliated with this one. So if you loved Pho King at the Tiny Town location then you will love this one as well. Same owners and recipes along with some added menu items. I had my favorite #1 Beef Pho. I did not see that anything changed but the location the food is still yummy.
